Del Taco is a Quick Serve Restaurant. They don't fit any of those words I went inside and there was one gentleman in front of me and we were waiting to order And waiting. There were three employees there. Finally someone who was putting the food together and asked 'are you ready'. She took his order and then said to me 'I'll be back. It's going to be a wait.' She went back to making food, I am guessing for the other customer in front of me and the drive through. Then we she had his done she came back to me and took my order, but not the person behind me. This location is not like other del tacos. The wait in the drive thru is usually 20-40 minutes and when you get your food it' a mess. I ordered $20 worth of food items and the taco shells were not cooked, they hardly had any substance and no cheese which I did not ask for no cheese. So basically for $20 I got about $8-$10 of food. I feel completely ripped off and a manger or owner should know. They should also start coming to the restaurant at night to see how their staff runs the operation. This is not my first visit I go at least two times a week but from now on it's Taco Bell or I will drive to the next location on Cobb pkwy. Unless management steps in and reevaluates the staff I won't be going back to the East West Connector location and it's sad bc I'm not the only local that thinks this. We eat a lot of different styles of Mexican restaurants, and this is definitely the best "fast food" Mexican. As they say, "Hey, that's a kitchen back there." They actually cook! Everything tastes really fresh. The beans are slow-cooked on site. The cheese is hand-grated on site. The veggies are chopped on site. I have tried the Shrimp Tacos, the Turkey Tacos, the Grilled Chicken Tacos, the deep-fried cheesecake bites, and the double beef tacos. Everything was really good. A super nice touch is with the shrimp tacos, there is a little wedge of lime for you to squeeze some juice over the taco. The manager Carla really took care of me, and I always appreciate how clean the restaurant is. I've eaten here a few times and they are a good choice if you want fresh and sort of quick faux Mexican. People laud Chipotle but I'd rather eat here. They are affordable and willing to adapt items for people who like to be picky with their selections. Since they are fresh, the reason why I say they are "sort of quick" is that unlike fast food, your food isn't ready immediately. It takes a few minutes for it to be prepared and if you are in the drive through, you may be there a while. I am sad that they no longer use nacho cheddar cheese for their nachos, it was delicious. White queso is okay but its not as good as their nacho cheddar cheese. read more

Oh Del Taco. I remember in college when you would be my hungover food savior . Two chicken soft tacos with that special sauce everytime! So you can imagine my excitement when I moved to Georgia and found one not too far away from my house! We came on a day where my cousin was visiting from California and decided to stop in for a quick bite before our day of touristy events. I ordered the carne asada fries and the Epic Cali Steak and Guac burrito. It was underwhelming. Nothing really stood out tasty wise. I was disappointed that the "guac" is that weird pre-packaged guacamole that reminded me of taco bell.
