TLDR: 4/5 - great service, hearty tacos and a laid back vibe in the neighborhood Ordered Grilled Shrimp Taco: 4/5 - For a Shrimp taco they always seem to skimp out on the shrimp like is it not in the name? Happy to report they include plenty of shrimp! It was seasoned well and thankfully not overcooked phew. I did a disservice completely forgetting the Sriracha mayo but it's okay it was great on its own! Vegetable Taco: 2/5 - Nothing to write home about tragically but not a shocking revelation. The search continues for a decent veggie taco. Grilled Mahi: 4/5 - Quite tasty! The fish was flavored well and with some good fixings. I actually could've used a bit of heat. Guac: 5/5 - It was fire, unless I was just hungry. Ambiance: It's a nice neighborhood bar vibe. Casual. There's bar seating too if you wanna watch the games. Service: 5/5 - Everyone was friendly and accommodating! I'd go back!

The good: great location, decent tacos, and excellent salsa. EXCELLENT salsa and chips. I'd go back just to eat them. The restaurant is pretty large and there's adequate seating at the bar for a game. The not so good: I sat at the bar with a friend, and the bartender was dry and had a bit of an attitude. That's enough of a turn off for me to not want to visit a place. If your attitude stinks, the food has to be amazing.

Buffalo chicken taco always a hit, the all mixed up drink sangria and marg always good. ShiShi (spell check) the bartender can be a hit or a miss. The service at the bar was okay but the manager was able yo correct my order. I would refer to it as a QSR with a mom and pop ambiance.

Fried Chicken Burrito with tortilla on the side

Best food ever!!! Starting from the warm complimentary chips and salsa. Followed by the fried chicken burrito with the tortilla served on the side with a creamy cilantro dressing... amazing!! The taste was just as pleasant as the service. Our bartender, Mila, recommended all the good stuff. My date and I ate very nice portions of our meals and even had leftovers. The margarita pitcher we ordered poured approximately 5 cups. Everything was great. I will be back!!!

Walked in here after having a couple drinks around other local businesses around 9:30pm. There was absolutely no worker to be seen. There were customers but 0 employees. After standing at the hostess stand for almost 5 minutes, we started to walk around only to find all of the employees in the hallway talking, some even sitting on the ground on their phone. We asked if they were open (we knew they were open) and they said yes and showed us to a table. We ordered 1 beer, 1 margarita, 2 veggie tacos, a side of black beans and guac and queso. What did we actually receive?! 1 beer and 2 veggie tacos. Our waitress, Jahmina, was absolutely terrible. She only came to our table twice; to take our order and to bring our check. Never once asked us if we needed a refill of water. We had to approach the bar to ask the bartender where our waitress was and we wanted to cancel the rest of our food since we had 1 taco each (after waiting over 15 minutes) and our waitress straight up told us she forgot about the other items. Terrible service. I would suggest supporting a better establishment in that area.

    Chicken fajitas fixins

I am not satisfied. Our drinks didn't arrive until after our food did. We were going to leave the restaurant because it was taking so long but the waiter decided to go ahead and bring out our food. Not sure what he was waiting for. The $5 margaritas took forever to come. They were flavored well but it seems that they forgot to add the tequila. It was flavored juice. But hey maybe they remove the tequila in order to make sure the drinks are discounted at $5. I wasn't able to make any dent in the chicken fajitas because the chicken had a strange taste to me. The rice wasn't cooked well (there were a lot of hard pieces) and the black beans were a miss completely. My partner says the tacos were 'meh'. They were lukewarm; the steak had no flavor. The shrimp was probably the best one but it wasn't very good.

The Corner Taqueria has been a staple in the Smyrna tacos and tequila scene since around 2012. They are located just inside Smyrna Market Village near the main entrance off Atlanta Road and are connected to Zucca Pizza. Corner Taqueria is a solid neighborhood spot that is more bar than restuarant, as the first thing you see when you walk in is the bar...where they have more tequila choices than food options. Additionally, they have several TV's lining the walls throughout the place, so it is definitely a place to catch the game! To be honest, if it wasn't for the Dos Equis "XX" on the wall, I would not know this place was a taqueria and focused on Mexican cuisine. This isn't a bad thing though, as I really enjoy the atmosphere, décor and layout! The menu is Mexican inspired and features the standards such as quesadillas, salads, queso, guacamole, nachos, rice, beans, burritos, tacos and a few house specialties. We did get chips and salsa shortly after being sat. They delivered crisp, well seasoned and tasty chips along with two salsas, one red and one green. When we ordered drinks, we tossed in an order of Queso Fundido, which was melted chihuahua cheese with peppers and chorizo served in a cast iron skillet alongside flour tortillas. While I am usually a fan of fundido and expect it to be thicker than your average queso, this version was tough to get through. It was the first queso I have ever had to cut to get onto my chip or tortilla. The cheese was melted, but I guess started to cool quickly, even with the cast iron, and it became a solid piece...not the best by far. For our dinners, we both got a couple of tacos. They have 10 varieties of tacos and between us we got (2) steak, (1) chicken and (1) fried mahi. The tacos were well dressed and filled nicely. The steak was good and well seasoned and the fish was thick, well breaded and the Sriracha tartar sauce was something I never knew I needed to experience! The chicken taco was good, a tad dry, but overall a tasty bite. While I just sipped on my water, my partner did get something from the bar, an Iceberg, which is a beer with a scoop of margarita in it. Never had it before and last night was not the last time I will have that simple yet fantastic combination! Service was solid. Our server was triple sat at the time we got there and while it was not the quickest service, she made sure to come by as often as possible to keep us updated and to apologize. She did an excellent job given the situation! Overall, Corner Taqueria is a great place in a fantastic location! We will definitely be back for lunch, dinner or game days!

    Mahi & Shrimp taco
    Rylie L.

The mahi & shrimp tacos are amazing. Their both on the spicy side so beware. Food came out quickly and the outside patio area is dog friendly! I will say the mahi taco itself was $7 which feels a little high but they tasted amazing! Our waitress was super nice and attentive and brought out a water bowl for our dog. Great location right in the smyrna area.

Came here after a staff meeting with coworkers on a Friday afternoon around 1pm. Not too crowded...just how I like it! lol We've been in the area before and it's usually pretty busy around lunch. We had the queso, which I devoured (as seen in pic lol) and the following tacos for lunch: veggie, grilled mahi, and chicken (?) - can't remember what the third one was, but it was all delicious and very filling. Had to take an extra taco to go. The waitress was patient, knowledgeable about the menu, and customer oriented. I heard the margaritas are good too, so I'll have to come back to see for myself sometime. Enjoy!

Not a lot of people inside for Gameday Sunday as the patio was better occupied. My Brother is a sit at the bar guy, there we sat. Tia, the Bartender & Server gave us good service, convo with masks & all. After someone shouted I'm a Vegan as if Vegans can't navigate at bars, Tia let me know the options & accommodations that would benefit me. I was so gearing for those Tater Tots, yet Tia came back to say they were fried in the chicken grease so I had to pass on those. No sweat off my plant based back as there's nothing like good old Chips & Salsa, a Veggie Taco & a glass of wine while watching your Giants get beat. An extremely welcoming & friendly atmosphere.

So, just so the public knows, if you speak openly about your honest experience at Atkins and it's not a 5 star review, you will be threatened to be removed from the bar unless you change it. This is 100% unethical and I've never encountered this level of unprofessionalism in my life. Will be letting BBB know what happened here, and I will be telling my friends, who come here regularly with me after run club, and everyone I encounter, to avoid this place at all cost. I also had Atkins as a recommendation for my Airbnbs, which I will definitely be removing. The management here needs a serious do over before it's acceptable. Do better Atkins. Everyone should go to Vintage or Stillfire, where the customer service has always been top tier and they manage their business ethically. Atkins Park has been my favorite bar in Smryna for years and I've been coming consistently since 2022. The past couple of years I've started coming even more, up to a couple of times a week, since I go to a Monday run club that meets in the village. I'll often bring my running friends over for post run food and drinks. The bartenders are amazing and I consider many of them my friends. The food is good and the atmosphere has always been fun and welcoming up until recently. Unfortunately, an incident happened with a bar manager on Friday evening that has made me decide to take a pause from coming to Atkins for a while. I've gotten really comfortable with the employees, bartenders and bar managers, and we often joke with each other, but the bar manager on Friday did not like a joke I made and he handled it by aggressively threatening to kick me out of the bar. I understand if a joke doesn't land right. Some jokes aren't for everyone. If he kindly told me he didn't appreciate it, I would have understood and never joked that way again, but threating to kick someone out, especially a regular, felt like a huge over reaction. It was very embarrassing and upsetting for me. I feel like someone who works so closely with the public and is a manager should have better reactions and conflict resolution skills.

This means that parking is plentiful with spots lining the streets or a few adjacent lots surrounding the village. Service - Always stellar! Every time we stop by, we always try a few different beers and the fellas working the counter are the most patient and friendly folks that clearly love what they do and love sharing their knowledge and expertise of all things beer with their patrons! We usually just tell them the variety of beer we are looking for, they recommend something that fits the bill and then we drink! And their recommendations have never been off, always spot on! Selection - To start, on tap they 40+ rotating taps of well known, obscure, local and far from home beers of ALL varieties! In addition to the beers, they have a few non-alcoholic things for the DD's and kids of the group. These range from cold brew coffee to popsicles. They also have a variety of snack foods from pretzels, popcorn, pimiento cheese, hummus to flatbreads and jerky! And if you decide you want something out of the can or bottle, they got you covered there too with a wide variety lining the shelves of the shop! They sell many varieties by the single can or pack. The food was excellent, the drinks were on point, and our waitress did an awesome job handling such a large party. She stayed on top of everything and made sure we were taken care of all night. After dinner, we decided to check out the speakeasy through the freezer door--Eleanor's--and unfortunately, that's where the experience took a turn. The atmosphere itself was nice--semi-dark with a cool concept--but it could definitely lean more into a darker, more immersive speakeasy vibe. The bigger issue, though, was the service. It was night and day compared to upstairs. The waitress came across as rude and unwelcoming from the start. A few of us sat down in a small corner area with an L-shaped bench and some extra chairs we had to pull over ourselves. Obviously, with 12 people, there was no way we were all fitting there, yet she insisted she wouldn't take any drink orders until everyone was seated. That made no sense, especially since there was standing room and even a bar-height table available. To make matters worse, there was zero acknowledgment of the birthday--not even a simple "happy birthday," which felt like a missed opportunity given the occasion. When we asked about Fireball shots, the response was a blunt "um, no," followed by "you can have water," as she started filling glasses. That pretty much summed up the vibe we got. Not sure if this is typical service down there or just an off night, but it was enough to make us decide we wouldn't come back to the speakeasy. Bottom line: If you're in the area, definitely check out Muss & Turner's for dinner--it's worth it. But I'd skip Eleanor's and save your time and money.

Unfortunately, the service brought your score down. We had a reservation for dinner and the young lady who initially met us, did not even ask us this. She greeted us with, "we have an event going on, so seating is tight." OK - Well I have reservation. That seemed to help her find us a table. When she sat us, she handed us one menu for my wife and I. No wine list, (at a wine market) and no introduction. After 5-6 minutes, our server came out and said hello, but did not bring water or the wine list still. But, she did inform us again about the event going on. WE know restaurants are busy on weekends and even more so in the holiday season, but the constant reminders of "The event" does two things, one the servers are creating an excuse to say, you are going to receive slow service, and two, it felt like, how dare we show up during an event night. Finally on our servers 2nd visit, we were able to receive a second menu and the wine list. We ordered the 6 piece charcuterie and two glasses of wine. The server who made the charcuterie board, was very pleasant and proud of her creation, and rightfully so, the board was beautiful and delicious. We enjoyed our wine choice and decided to buy a bottle, our server, had zero wine experience. She did not present the bottle to me, (I have the wrong bottles brought out on a few occasions, and this is just a common courtesy) she uncorked the bottle, did not present the cork, she poured from the bottle into glasses that already had wine, granted we ordered the same wine, but at a wine market with a big event, maybe two new glasses should have been brought out, just in case. Then after she poured our glasses, she DROPPED the cork on the floor, picks it up and sticks in our bottle. Do your servers do that with silverware? Then she began to walk away with our bottle, I asked her to please leave the bottle on the table. She was seemed like that was an odd request. Overall, if we could give half stars, I would say 3.5 for the review, it was saved by your charcuterie server, as well as the taste and quality of the meats and cheeses, as well as the wonderful selection of wines. We will be back and hopefully, you take these comments constructively, and have your servers trained up a little more to be assets to your establishment.

This was their favorite restaurant. They said the trick to ordering pizza was to ask for it to be extra crispy and the. The crust is to die for. That is what I am trying on my next visit. I have family coming into town in a couple of weeks and now Zucca's is on the agenda whine they are here.

While the customer service was wonderful and the atmosphere was pretty cool (each booth has it's own TV), our calamari was salty, and both the pizza and baked ziti lacked flavor. The baked ziti barely had sauce. It's like the chef didn't care about our food and either over seasoned (calamari) or under seasoned (pizza and baked ziti). We were told that the kitchen was closing soon and as a server I understood ordering food late is annoying, but we didn't know this (this was our first time). However, that doesn't excuse rushing preparing for the food. Very disappointing for the price. My boyfriend and I will unfortunately not be coming back.
