The nails techs have generally been kind, deliberate, communicate effectively and ensure you're happy. I've also always had an appointment though. I recently stopped in at 1pm on a random Wednesday when I had a couple hours to spare, thinking I would not need an appointment -- I was wrong. It did not look busier than normal and had several empty stations where I would have thought they'd offer to put me to soak until someone was available but I was told it was a 2 to 3 hour wait and encouraged to make an appointment. It seems there are two kinds of nail salons: those that make you feel genuinely welcomed the moment you walk in: offering a drink, trying to fit you in if they can, and making hospitality part of the experience, and those that are more appointment-driven and transactional. In my experience, while the work is good and dazzle dry may entice me to revisit, this salon falls into the latter category. TLDR: always book ahead.

They are a little pricier however ... they are up front about it AND the service is QUALITY and sanitary! They put the time and effort into the service rather than the "bar" aspect with drinks/cocktails like other nail salons in the area ... I care about my nails and can get drinks elsewhere... I'm sure they have it available if you want but it's not something that masks the quality of the work. Valerie is skilled in design and will tell you exactly what the design will take before she starts. I get dip and design on my natural nails. What I like is how the whole process is done with attention to detail. Also, my preferences with how I want my nails to look. The online booking service is so convenient and they have a loyalty program, which is what I had at my last place. I haven't gotten any other services but so happy with my dip manicures.

By Tuesday my nails started chipping and mind you I dont even do house work or anything like that. I had ONLY 3 gelX nails for removal, but was charged a full GelX removal. When it was time to remove the dip, she was very rough and ended up cutting me twice while filing off the remaining product. Afterward, she had me wash my hands. When I returned to the station, she had already moved on to another client. I was confused because I had specifically requested a manicure, and I expected the service to include basic nail care like trimming or filing my nails and cleaning up my cuticles. Instead, the service seemed to end after the dip removal. At that point, I chose not to say anything because, after being cut twice, I no longer felt comfortable having her continue working on my nails.
