Update - it's been 9 days and 3 of my nails have come off already and 1 has fungus growing underneath. I've only had acrylic on my nails for a total of 5 weeks. Before that, it was my natural nail. Usually it takes months of consecutive acrylics on my nails for me to get nail fungus, it's only happened once to me before. Kevin didn't clean up the old acrylic like nail techs usually do before adding on the new acrylic, and there must have been moisture underneath that wasn't cleared as it should, and now I have nail fungus as well. Disappointed and looking again. I don't know why its so hard to find a good place for a set of nails in the Aubrey area. The first time I came in, my nails looked amazing (although it seemed a bit steep on price), I was happy, they looked great! The next time I went in, they were bumpy and not the same length. So I thought one more try. Went in with my boyfriend and we both did a pedi and I got nexgen. He was very disappointed with his 20 min pedi. They were busy and rushed and she didn't spend any time on him. Mine was fine, by the same lady btw, but I chose the delux, so you get what you pay for. As for my nails, I'm beginning to see a pattern, when they do it on the fly at the pedicure station, the nails never turn out right. Either they are all different lengths or they are super thick and bumpy. This time, they dipped them at least 5 times, so they are thick and oddly shaped. I had to ask the lady that checked me out to fix one of them even after the girl doing them (Cathy, I believe) had already shown a bit of an attitude about fixing another one when asked. $100 later...disappointed customers. I walked in on a Friday around 11am and was quickly seated. The building is so unassuming and very old western with its wooden siding. The sign says NAILS & SPA, but the ladies say it's the same business and owner as this yelp page. I saw the ladies next to me had a cup of white wine, and others had diet cokes. I was not offered any drink, but I also didn't ask. I will definitely ask next time. As patrons began trickling in, it's clear this is a local hot spot. All 5 ladies working were always busy with a customer. They were also remembering people's names and greeting them so - a relieving sight to see. I opted for a regular manicure with simple clear coat, and she did a good job. The coat wasn't even and did not cover my entire nail, but that's okay because I just wanted them cleaned up and shiny. I picked the deluxe pedicure, and Thuy (pronounced "toy") did a great job. All the ladies are from Vietnam and are very polite. They did not try to up sell me any gel nails or waxing services, so that is GREATLY appreciated. My constructive criticism is that the paraffin wax could be hotter, and the stones were a bit too warm for me. The massage was good and did the trick after being sore from working out - much better than Empress Nails in Little Elm. They also didn't have plastic bags in their foot tubs like other places for sanitary reasons. I didn't see how they clean the tubs since they just had new comers sit in unused seats. The price is okay, pretty much average to what you'll see in DFW suburbs. I live in Savannah so this salon will definitely be a staple for me when I need to decompress and fix those janky toes!! read more

I called on Friday to make an appointment on for the next day. The earliest appointment was 4 o'clock. I said ok, scheduled 2 pedicures. My name was taken. My daughter and I showed up early for our appointments to be told they did not have us down. No one offered to try to get us in, or offer any further help. I went to the car to double check my phone to make I was at the correct salon. I was. Went down the street to the Grand Salon, where they worked us in immediately and had the most amazing pedi!!!! My nails were not what I paid for. When asked to fix the bubbling as well as the inconsistency in color on my toes, I was dismissed. My toes are even worse. I may not have spent the extra $40 they were trying to get me to, but i definitely didn't get what I did pay for. I am so embarrassed. read more

Ok ok....let me start by saying that I was skeptical on writing this review because I wanted to keep them a secret but after visiting for the first time this evening and being blown away, I figured that I owed it to them to leave an up to date review. First off, let me say that I have passed by this nail salon MANY times and never stopped because I figured they were just like any other. Boy was I wrong! Their establishment is small and intimate (6 pedicure chairs and 6 manicure tables) but I love how neat and clean everything was and tastefully decorated! When I walked in I was immediately greeted and confirmed my appt and sat down at the table. One of the sisters (Jackie I think) sat down and I proceeded to show her a picture of what I wanted. Mind you, I am very particular about my nails; shape, length, polish, etc. Jackie did an AMAZING JOB!!! I have never seen ANY tech take as much time on shaping and buffing and filing just to perfect her craft! And I have been to some pretty great nail salons. She even told me that she was nervous and wanted to make sure I was satisfied (WHAT??? Can we just be best friends now?) Most techs don't give a flip if you are satisfied or not.....they tried....you don't like....pay anyway. Nope, not Jackie. I kept telling her she was doing great and that I was thoroughly amazed. Right down to my design. Yes, design. She has a ton of examples but I came equipped with my own and she knocked it out of the ballpark. Also, there were 4 people who came for pedicures while I was seated and it was comforting to see them immediately sanitize the bins when the customers left. I think they may also run off of appointments only bc I didnt see any walk ins, only calls to make appointments. Oh and the price??? Lower than I expected to pay considering the time it took to finish and how near perfection they are. So I just left the difference as a well deserved tip. I encourage those who have experienced Jamie and Jackie's phenomenal service to let others know and leave a review. I was a little hesitant on going bc of the lack of newer reviews/pictures. The staff was incredibly friendly and professional. I had booked a bridal party of 5 for mani/pedis and they made sure to be fully staffed... and I think may have even gone above and beyond to reserve the salon for us alone. The owner even personally did a courtesy appointment reminder call the day beforehand. They allow you to bring your own alcohol and also appeared to have some basic selections there (I saw box wine and some beer cans). Nothing like mimosas while getting pampered! The pricing was totally reasonable. I'd definitely revisit... may even drive out of my way to do so! read more

I have been here 5 times now. You must make an appointment prior to your visit/ do not just show up as a walk-in as it appears they book themselves completely throughout the day especially on the weekends (Saturday). Even after making an appointment, I have had to wait 10-30 minutes for the nail technicians to actually start working on my manicure or pedicure. 1 out of 5 times I was offered a drink. That being said, the actual manicure and pedicure services are second to none. The only exception is they do not give very good massages for manicures or pedicures. They have clean tools, are very professional and my gel manicure lasts over 2 weeks and has sometimes even lasted 3+ weeks. My nails look beautiful and I have received tons of compliments. They have an array of gel color options. I definitely recommend this salon to anyone wanting a professional manicure and pedicure. read more

I was here with my sister-in-law on Saturday. This nail place is super cozy and I loved the service. Definitely going back again. They treated us well, offered us drinks and were very attentive. It was not busy for a Saturday, which surprised us at first but it's nice to go to a nail place that doesn't have you wait forever and then rush your nails. My sister in law, her mother, and I went in to get our nails done for my brother's wedding. We came in on a Friday around 11 AM and we're taken care of quickly. The salon looks nice and is clean. The pedicure and leg massage were good. Then I got acrylic nails and that's where my issue lies. The nails looked pretty good when I got them, but the lady jacked up my cuticles and the thin skin around them with the buffer thing. It's been almost a week and I still have scabs on more fingers than not. The lady should have known she was doing that. I didn't say anything cuz I don't get my nails done often and didn't realize they'd scab over. My fingers were sore for a few days and now nearly a week later, my nails don't look too great. It's not terrible, but I think I'll go elsewhere next time. read more

Within 3 days had 3 chipped/broken nails because nails were so thin, 5 cubical so were damaged and just not a good experience for me. I showed her a picture with a design that was kinda tricky and she absolutely nailed it. it look the exact same as the picture. Tried this location for a simple manicure because it was near my home. I needed my nexgen removed which ended up being a disaster. Instead of allowing my nails to soak, she used the electric file. She ended up using the file until I felt it on my natural nails. So of course it started to sting, I then asked her to stop filing my natural nails and she seemed to get frustrated. Long story short, I will not be returning to this location & my manicure is too embarrassing for pics. read more

They do a nice clean mani and pedi. My last gel manicure lasted almost three weeks before it peeled on just a couple fingers at the top.
