This place is definitely a diamond in the rough. We were looking for a nice local diner and this place popped up on the local yelp search. It was nice and busy in there which was nice to see these days. We got seated quickly and our order was taken in minutes. I saw the Indy 500 pork cutlet on yelp so I obviously had to get it. The pork was super tender and the outside was nice and crispy. I always get my gravy on the side so it doesn't Turin the crisp of the meat. Lots of sausage in the gravy and it was super delicious. I always order my eggs over medium and they were cooked perfectly. The rye toast was great and thick! My buddies biscuit platter also looked pretty awesome and the biscuits were really good. The hash browns came out perfectly cooked and seasoned nicely. We will definitely come back for the home made corn beef hash as well!! read more

The timing wasn't great when I visited and that may have been the reason the Conewich tasted greasy and stale. The egg mixture wasn't terrible, but the hash browns were lukewarm and too greasy. The breaded cone was too hard to eat. The waitress was nice but we weren't sure if we were supposed to seat ourselves at first. Prices weren't bad and the place seemed clean. This is truly a find. Full, beautiful, breakfast/brunch/lunch menu, clean dining room, inexpensive menu. Clean restrooms. Great service, and everyone seems to be able to tell you all about each item on the menu. Egg dishes, sandwiches, burgers, even a decent fish and chips. We had fried pasta which was excellent, fish and chips which was good, a salad which was huge, Cole slaw which was better than most, and iced tea. I can hardly wait to try the rest of the menu. Finally eating after the loss my sister. I do not eat beef or pork. So I got a Delaney's French toast with scrambled eggs and chicken sausage and my husband got the Delaney''s pancakes. For him to come home with all bacon in both meals. So I call to get my order straighten out and sit on hold for 25 minutes to get hung up on. Food was not good the French toast and pancakes. Never got my eggs or sausage. So still hungry and even the manager was rude. One hell of way to start my week. I came in today and sat at counter, sat next to a couple and after about 5 minutes another guy sat down next to me. The guy who arrived after myself and the couple next to me received his food before the two of us. I inquired about the delay and was told the kitchen does not go in the order of orders received from Lisa Miller. Lisa was identified as the manager on duty. I the. received my food and the couple who was there before the both of us proceeded to leave. When I asked for the manager Lisa she briefly came over to explain the kitchen was behind and proceeded and offered nothing to the couple so I spoke up about making it right and offering them a gift card or something. Her response was I am not running the restaurant and I responded I am not but that would be the right thing to do. I was appalled at her interaction with me and her attitude. She had others seated at the counter who also were delayed in receiving her food and she did not acknowledge the delay or apologize. I will not be returning as Columbus has plenty of other restaurant options where customers are treated decently. read more

Not only are they the perfect brunch place they are also supportive of local businesses as well. The Reynoldsburg location is nestled in a strip mail on Main Street. Our server Carlie was very attentive and prompt. She brought our food in a timely manner and was quick for refills of our beverages. My hubby and I both ordered their Delaney's breakfast which consists of 2 eggs any style choice of meat and either pancakes or French Toast . He ordered the Delaney's Breakfast with eggs over easy along with sausage and French Toast. I ordered the breakfast with scrambled eggs and bacon along with Pancakes. I also got an iced tea while my hubby ordered a glass of orange juice along with a glass of milk. Both my husband and I enjoyed the food immensely. I like hot sauce for my scrambled eggs. I liked out Delaney's used A Columbus Ohio based place for the hot sauce. The hot sauce was the perfect medium temperature and made of eggs very flavorful. The bacon was perfectly prepared crisp and delicious. My pancakes were amazing! It had the little crispness to the edge. So very satisfying. My hubby really enjoyed his food too. Did I mention the tenderloin yet? Breakfast & lunch only diner, just a short jump from 270 interstate exit. Perfect for travelers as well as the locals. I'm a breakfast fan and a flavor fan. This location is in a small strip center which allows for a large shared parking lot. The interior is bright and clean, without all that dust collecting clutter on the walls. Staff is friendly and menu knowledgeable. There is no Military or first responder discount, except veterans day. Seniors however do get an unposted discount if asked. Booths on the perimeter and tables down the middle, with a U shaped counter in the back by the kitchen. Some changes I was told were coming are... a wind break vestibule on the front door, and a dining room expansion into the space next door(see pic). I have concerns because the location in Westerville did this, but the kitchen did not expand. That means longer wait times for food. Hoping for the best, since this kitchen is a bit bigger. Blueberry pancakes were good. Not on the high fluff cake side or the thin glutenous side. Gluten is that chewy taste from over mixing the batter. Pork tenderloin is supposedly pounded, battered and fried here. Maybe they par cook them during prep. Never seen it, or heard pounding. Boy oh boy is it huge(see pic)). Not paper thin, and a subtle salt & pepper flavor. Comes as a sandwich or Indy 500 breakfast plate. Now reach out and add some flavor to your plate with CaJohns table sauce(see pic)). Tried Delaney's for the first time and boy were we impressed!! Very friendly service and great food. My wife had the Meat Lovers Omelet and I had the Indy 500. My wife said she loved the omelet. The Indy 500 had a pork tenderloin with sausage gravy along with two eggs. The pork was tender, seasoned and cooked just right. The sausage gravy complimented the pork perfectly. Definitely one of the best breakfast meals I have ever had. The portions were so large we both took some home with us. Loved the service, loved the coffee, loved the staff!! I didn't realize Delaney's Diner had opened a 2nd location in Reynoldsburg fairly close to my office, so I was extremely excited when it popped up on Yelp so close to me. The Westerville location has been on my radar for quite some time but isn't exactly convenient for me to get to. Right off the bat the service here is super friendly, and I was probably helped by three different people within the first ten minutes of walking in. The menu has so many of my favorite things on it that I had a hard time choosing, the woman working the counter gave me so many recommendations that I still didn't know what to get. I went with a double bacon cheeseburger with a side of the PastaSalvi, since that's what they're known for apparently. The PastaSalvi came out first which is egg noodles in a cream sauce with scallions coated in panko breadcrumbs, fried to a golden brown with a creamy middle. Even though it's kind of an odd side to pair with a burger, it was pretty tasty, but I don't know if it really blew me out of the water. The burger came out next, and the lady had suggested getting the ghost pepper jack cheese with it, and it packs a pretty big bite. I love spicy food, so I was surprised the cheese would have that kind of heat. The burger itself was delicious, but I don't know if I'd rank it among the best in Columbus. Still, very good! The bacon on it was cooked perfectly. The fries that came with the burger were okay, but I wish they would have had some sort of seasoning to them. They tasted very out of a package to me. Overall, I'd say the food here was good, but I think for a diner, it's a bit pricey, so if you're expecting diner prices for a burger, you're better off at some other spots in town. However, I'm definitely going to be back to try some of the other options like the Italian sub, the Reuben, and the Hoosier pork tenderloin, which looks amazing. read more

Their new location (3 weeks ago new) on E. Main in Reynoldsburg. And I mean new, new construction and everything that goes with that. It's nice. If you've been to either location you know their serving sizes are mega. Menu is traditional diner, we had an array of eggs, meat, and chalah French toast; all really good. We took home some huge slices of French toast, good to freeze for the grand-toddlers we have. They have ghost cheese. Give it a try if you are daring Excellent service, clean restrooms-thanks for that. Rumor has it they are expanding to the storefront next door. We wanted to have a impromptu brunch date this past Monday and remembered Delaney's was open. We stopped in and we were greeted and seated immediately. The decor is fantastic. I had the fried bologna sandwich with a side salad and my boyfriend ordered his usual of 2 sunny side eggs, bacon , toast, and hash browns. Got there just in time before it got filled up. I had the Big Daddy's Breakfast. Which is the Chicken fried steak with 2 eggs and hashbrowns I added onions for .25 more. Very delicious. Daughter had the Country Biscuit Breakfast. Which is scrambled eggs added cheese to the eggs for .25 more over biscuits covered with sausage gravy and a side of hash browns. Daughter loved the eggs nice and fluffy. We will be back to try lunch. read more

Good thing I wore a loose dress! We stopped while traveling...its about 5 minutes from the I70/I270 exchange...at Noon on a Tuesday. Greeted and seated quickly. They were quite busy but thankfully had a couple of empty tables. Place is spotless...decor is like an updated diner with both booths and tables. Husband ordered the veggie omelet I had the meat lovers omelet (with extra cheese). We both had biscuits in place of the toast. Both came with shredded home fries. All was delicious. Didnt see a lot of folks getting anything but breakfast, but the menu does have soups, salads, burgers and sandwiches. Waitstaff were personable and efficient. Manager walked through often, clearing tables, straightening, cleaning and checking on patrons. Great place to stop!! read more

I had heard of this place and didn't even know they had three locations. Met my friend for breakfast. Sat right away. First impressions: Very clean, open, nice space. Your typical diner menu. I had the Biscuits and Sausage gravy meal with over easy eggs. I added a side of sausage. Was kind of surprised this wasn't already on there. It was good. Not my favorite sausage gravy but good! Service was wonderful. Very fast. The food came out SUPER quickly. I would absolutely recommend this as a standard place to meet up with friends for a nice standard meal. What do you do when it's gloomy and rainy outside and you're feeling a little glum yourself? Visit a diner! I cannot express how much I love visiting diners! The friendly staff, the authentic design and decor inside, and the music are always sure to perk you up! Delaney's did just that for me yesterday. I was greeted by a smiling face and seated at a table near the kitchen. I started off with a cup of hot coffee. Why does diner coffee always taste so good? It's hot, fresh, and strong and really hits the spot! I ordered the country biscuit breakfast with hash browns (added onions) and a slice of french toast. Everything was so good! The eggs and biscuits in the country biscuit breakfast were super light and fluffy, the hash browns were hot and crispy, and the french toast was a nice, thick piece of bread that was cooked to a golden brown color and topped with powdered sugar. Next stop in Columbus on the way home was Delaney's Diner. We love good diners and this one popped up in Yelp in the area around OtherWorlds, listing three unique local specialties: PastaSalvi, bologna sandwiches, and conewiches. Bill Ward loved bologna sandwiches in his youth, and since this was our actual anniversary day, it was worth splurging ... Such a delightful diner! The food was fantastic (even the bologna, seriously) but even better was the courteous, cordial staff. We opted for seats at the counter, which surrounded the prep station and looked towards the kitchen. Everyone on duty was cheerfully chatting with guests and with each other, making jokes and laughing. Upon learning we were out-of-towners curious about their specialities, they gathered to explain each of them in great detail. Turns out PastaSalvi is a dish created from leftover pasta served in a local family-owned Italian place that closed years ago. It is a pan of egg noodles in a cream sauce with scallions (think bechamel like on mousaka), cut into bricks when cold, then coated in panko breadcrumbs and fried to a golden brown. This forms a crispy coating around a creamy middle. It can be plain, or topped with marina and provolone (staff recommended). We shared one and it was indeed fantastic! I can see wrapping it dry and taking it on the road, like an Italian musubi. Bill gave specific instructions for his anniversary bologna sandwich: toasted white bread, pickles, mustard (no Mayo!); provolone cheese was ok. It was an incredibly luscious-looking bologna sandwich, and I'm not a bologna fan. The bologna was thick cut, which added to the visual appeal. Bill said it was fantastic. (I'll take his word, but I can vouch for his enjoyment of it). I opted for a breakfast conewich of scrambled eggs and corned beef hash. The hash was juicy thick chunks of tender corned beef, and the cone was made of toasted bread. It was beautifully presented like a cornucopia, spilling its copious contents over a bed of crispy hash brown potatoes. It was delicious, but way more than I could eat in one sitting. Huge bonus: their iced tea was PERFECT! Unsweetened, no lemon, very fresh. So good that we each got large glasses to go. The staff congratulated us on our anniversary and bid us a safe drive home ahead of the approaching Ida. Delaneys Diner has definitely earned a top spot on our must-do return list for Columbus. read more
