A disaster from start to finish! My friend called in advance and the hostess said "we're very busy". We walked down there and it was practically empty. I ordered the pear martini... It was disgusting. I had to ask for more simple syrup twice and I'm not wanting to ask for more sugar. A specialty cocktail should be just at that. My friend said they had everything you could possibly desire and she was right. I chose a plain burger it was really delicious and cooked as I requested it, medium but more of a medium well- it was ok by me. The roll was fresh. The service was very attentive. Our server was present throughout the meal. Inside the restaurant it's very dark and the booths aren't padded. Overall I thought that the prices were on the high side but that is to be expected in this touristy shopping district. Cape May is so delightful! I think if you are hungry and in the area give this place a try but be prepared for sticker shock. Non alcoholic fountain drinks are the highest I've ever seen at 4.99! Jersey scallops (fried) were well seasoned and tender. Prime Burger was thick, juicy, and flavorful. It came with potato chips- not fries House salad with grilled chicken was fresh and crisp and chicken was tender and juicy. Even the baked potatoes were good. The server missed several small requests (no ice vs ice, no onions on sandwich), but was okay overall. There were only 3 of us, but we couldn't get separate checks. Night one was Union Park, day 2 was at the Ebbit Room, so for our last night we went to Delaney's Irish pub. Started with a Guinness with a proper pour. We shared buffalo wings and burgers. Wings were nice and plumb, a bit too much sauce for my taste .the burgers and fries hit the spot. They're a thicker cut fry and I asked for them crispy and they were delicious. A cold beer after a long hot walk. Great friendly service in a nice old fashioned pub. Bartender Kevin was excellent. A very nice guy with a great smile. The crab sandwich I had was excellent, nothing but large lumps of crab and delicious. It even was served with a bag of Wise potato chips which I haven't seen in years. Unfortunately the conch fritters weren't as good as they were mostly dough, but at least they were tasty! Even then I still give them 5 stars based on the service and the ambiance. read more

We come to Cape May once, maybe twice a year in the summer. We ALWAYS come here, service is excellent and the food is fantastic. Our server today was very friendly, and accurate with taking our order. We tried a few new things: Spinach, walnut, apple salad... lobster roll, and the veggie wrap. And the price of $25 for the plate was out of bounds. We recently had fish and chips in Cape Cod (for the same price of about $25) and the meals were in a different stratosphere. Huge fresh pieces of delicious cod in Cape Cod but not our experience yesterday. I really don't like leaving bad reviews but I feel obliged to let potential customers know what to expect.
