I think she assumed I could not understand Spanish, but I heard her talking to her friend about me and my hair color (redhead). At this point I mentioned that I wanted to tint my brows brown. However, I think I was too late because they are definitely black. They are not very curled at all, and she missed tinting the edges of my lashes. I bought a Groupon for a lash service and texted the studio to book. My first message said plainly…read morethat I had a Groupon and asked for an appointment. They replied and confirmed me for 7pm the next day. Nothing was said about any problem with the voucher. I traveled an hour in the rain after work. Only at the door was I told the Groupon wouldn't be accepted and I'd have to pay full price, because I had visited once before -- in 2023. They said they had explained the policy to me at that visit. I have no memory of a policy note from three years ago, and I don't think a customer should be expected to. That's what the terms page is for, and the Groupon listing says the deal may be repurchased every 180 days. What bothers me most is the timing. If they remembered my 2023 visit when I texted, they could have told me then. And if they only realized afterward, they still had a full day and my phone number -- one message would have saved me the trip. Either way, the decision to tell me was made after I'd already traveled an hour in the rain. I can't speak to the quality of the lashes; I chose to not receive the service. But if you don't intend to accept Groupon vouchers, don't list on Groupon, and don't confirm appointments for people who tell you upfront that's how they're paying.
