Overall, we are very happy with the quality of the work and the customer service provided by Amir. The carpet and waterproof vinyl installations both went smoothly. The crew worked efficiently and finished the jobs in a couple of days. The hardwood flooring project took a frustrating turn, but Amir ultimately resolved it to our satisfaction. The crew installed the hardwood in summer 2023 and shortly afterwards much of it shrunk and developed creaking. After a lot of back and forth with Amir and the manufacturer, Renaissance replaced the problem areas. My wife and I appreciated Amir's professionalism and integrity. We were stuck in limbo after a previous flooring company botched the front half of our home's…read morefloors. Instead of fixing the problem, their crew walked away, leaving me with a huge mess--darkish orange floors, sanding debris everywhere, orange-stained baseboards, furniture crammed on one side of the house, and even a $715 furniture moving fee. Then Rudy from Kustom Flooring stepped in and delivered everything they promised--and more. Rudy, along with his brother Jimmy and the crew, showed up every morning and worked tirelessly all day. They placed felt pads on our furniture, moved everything into our garage for a very reasonable fee, and then moved everything back afterward. They also protected our entire space: every entry, our 20-foot foyer, and every light fixture and wall hanging were covered with plastic to keep any sanding dust from escaping their dustless sanding systems. Once the dustless sanding was finished, Rudy and Jimmy walked us through our options for staining versus unstaining. We chose unstained floors, sealed with one coat of Bona Clear and two coats of Bona Traffic HD. By the time they were done, we had gorgeous floors that completely transformed our home. I expected to need a cleaning service once the job was finished, but Jimmy and his team handled everything. They cleaned our entire space--vacuuming even the curved staircase and upstairs hallway--so when they were done, there was no dust left behind. We've had quite a few projects on our home, and while most have been very positive, we've never had anyone like Jimmy--he takes real pride in his workmanship and genuinely cares about his clients. Because my husband's chronic illness has made us overlook some small issues around the house, Jimmy stepped in without being asked: he replaced a broken doorstop, repaired a damaged light fixture, and even changed the lightbulbs in our pantry. The difference between Jimmy's crew and the previous flooring company's workers is striking--not just in quality, but in attitude. They were happy to be there, played music, and always had big smiles. That culture clearly starts at the top, and it shows in how Kustom treats their employees. The floors were well done, but my finish seemed to show more snd more footprints with time. I contacted the team to find out if I was doing something wrong. Without hesitation, Erick and his team came out to take a look and volunteered to buff and do the poly coat again. Wow. The difference was night and day! The flooring install looks great and very well done…read more Erick paid attention to detail, matching the landings to the reclaimed flooring in other rooms to pull the look together, even though this was not something we'd thought of before. :) His team was also patient in accommodating a slightly later than anticipated start each day, as I had to travel to the home to let them in. There were a few hiccups with stain color, namely how it looked in natural light and with the lights on (partly due to the fact that I am new to wood staining and partly due to the red wall adjacent to the sampling we did -- please do your research if you are new to this). There were also smudges on the wall post floor staining, all but one of which Erick was able to fix up (after I noticed and pointed them out which, unfortunately, was after the project was deemed complete). Erick provided a discount for the inconvenience/the one leftover smudge, which I appreciated. Erick took responsibility for his and his team's work and was responsive to our needs and any issues. The floors look great at a reasonable price and I was able to support a small business, which I value (and hope you will too). His primary crew, who worked in my home, were respectful, skilled and kind. I am glad to recommend them to others. Edit: A couple days after the work was done, I noticed some left over materials from the project like wipe cloths, empty plastic bottles, etc. in the home (not a huge amount so not the biggest deal, but things do add up). While the actual flooring work is excellent, clean up/close up is not always 100% it seems, so that's the area I would recommend the company improve. :)

(UPDATE on my ORIGINAL REVIEW) The owner called me to discuss the EXTREMELY NEGATIVE EXPERIENCE we had, and the POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE provided by his employees. I appreciated his personal outreach, and was gracious enough to give them another chance. During the "2nd Chance Visit", his carpet estimator was incredibly rude to my female tenant, made it seem like he was doing her a favor to show-up, and verbally CURSED AT MY FEMALE TENANT. She became afraid and asked the carpet estimator to leave because she felt unsafe. I respect & appreciate the OWNER for trying to make things right, but if this is the caliber of employee that his company hires, I WANT NOTHING TO DO WITH THEM. It is 1,000% UNACCEPTALBE for a service provider that has been invited into someone's home to curse at a woman. UNACCEPTABLE. District Floor Depot WILL NOT be getting my business, and I hope that no consumer supports this type of behavior by doing business with them. (ORIGINAL REVIEW) This company offers HORRIBLE customer service. I scheduled multiple appointments, and they just didn't show up. They called and said the representative was outside. THEY LIED.
