I love this bagel shop. First let's talk about the service, the crew is always smiling and they greet you like a friend. Second, I just love their bagels. I like my bagel toasted a certain way and they do it right every time. They also have other breakfast items. Try the omelette, it's huge and you can customize ! Nice little deli style café sitting on Rt. 31 northbound in a fairly new office/retail center. Very nice young staff eager to please. Solid java and nice seating around the edges. My Onion Bagel was decent, but lacked the crisp crust I prefer, although the heart of the bagel was light and fresh as I like it. So, a mixed bag in that department. It is a little off my beaten path, so I am unlikely to get back here often, nor was the bagel so great as to compel me to return. Went there today for the first time and I was pleasantly surprised. This place is clean and has decent prices for the area ( considering the other local bagel shop's sandwiches are $8 a piece). The staff was extremely welcoming and friendly. My order was completed quickly and correctly. I ordered a Greek Salad which was DELICIOUS! The new management is amazing and the service is excellent. My go to weekend breakfast is the Healthy burrito, but I add chorizo. And a few times per month, when working from home I order a sandwich for lunch, and they are always great. The Stony Brook and Reuben have been my go to so far. Deli is my favorite spot to go whether it be in the morning at lunch or right after school. They don't just sell bagels, you can get salads, sandwiches, fresh drinks and more! The quality of the food is the best and the amazing staff is even better. They are the nicest people you will ever meet. I talked to Jimmy, one of the new managers, and he was the sweetest person you'll ever meet. He's helped me with food choices and has never made me feel rushed. I think this is under new ownership now but I am not impressed. I ordered the Chinese Chicken Salad and not only did the lettuce lack nutritional value in that it was barely green, most of the ingredients listed on the menu weren't even in the salad! I am annoyed because I didn't have much time to grab something before heading back to work. It also was quite expensive for unappealing lettuce,hardly any chicken and three almonds. The dressing was tasting as was the bagel on the side. Needless to say, I was disappointed and won't be returning. read more

So I used to like this place, are usually get breakfast sandwiches are pretty good. However today I got a buttered bagel, simple enough you would think. However when I got my butter bagel there was and unbelievably small amount of butter, if I wanted a regular bagel I would've ordered a regular bagel. This place can't seem to make a bagel sandwich right. Poppy seed bagel with egg and pork roll. They even asked .. No cheese. Very clearly no cheese. I didn't order cheese. I don't want cheese... What did I get? Pork roll with cheese. Drive back and tried to get a remake.. This time it was just Pork roll.. No egg.. Third time finally got we ordered. Bagels are not good and the service is terrible. Hadn't been back for a couple years so would have thought they would have put effort into improving. They have not. Ordered a pumpernickel bagel toasted with cream cheese. It was barely toasted (I would say not at all except that I saw them put it in the toaster), and they slathered it with onion flavored cream cheese. I was the only one in the store so they weren't rushed and there is no confusing cream cheese with onion. Its terrible. Dont go there. read more

Over priced and unfriendly service. I ordered a grilled cheese with sauteed onions, jalapenos and tomatoes. The cheese wasn't fully melted, the onions were NOT sauteed and the bread seemed toasted not grilled. There is nothing more awkward then cashier staring at you impatiently while you examine the menu over head. (I wasn't even in line) The cashier gave me a rude once over and did not even say thank you or hello. Overpriced for a below average sandwich with no fixings. Didn't even get a pickle that most sandwich shops usually offer. Oh and I saw the lady pick bagels out with her BARE hands for another customer. Came here on the suggestion of a colleague for lunch and I regret it. The service was slow, and the 2 sandwiches and 1 plate of eggs we ordered took forever and each plate was delivered with unexplained 10 minute gaps in between. The lunch items are meh. Staff delivering the items seem lost as they query every table to determine who ordered what. The breakfast items must be in their wheelhouse because those items looked good. Figures the guy who suggested the place orders breakfast! My chicken pesto panini was underwhelmingly meh. It's as if the basil pesto and caramelized onions were used to mask old chicken and all ultimately buried, hidden underneath what appeared to be industrial focaccia-ish shaped bread. Other notes, tables were wobbly and I was given no utensils. Another example of a place that can pump out garbage and still keep the people coming in steady enough to pay the bills. So I'd give this place 1 star if it weren't for the two cute girls behind the counter. They were nice and deserve to be paid more considering my sandwich and fries were 11.00 bucks. read more

Indoor and outdoor seating are available, but did not see any TV's or pickup any wireless siginal or Xfinity Hotspot. My sole purpose for my check-in was to try some "jewish soul food", Lox and Cream Cheese on a Toasted Egg Bagel. Well, it was fabulous. Worth the stop. read more

Deli on a Bagel Cafe has been my go-to for pre-work breakfast needs for almost 3 years now, and there are good reasons why: The staff there always greets you with a positive attitude from the time you walk in the door until you leave. I always get a gracious, "Hello!," as well as a "Have a nice day!" It's service with a smile. On top of being generally friendly and good-spirited, if you're a regular customer, or tend to order the same thing, they will catch on and try to get your order going before you even reach the register. I have entered on a busy day and, once identified, asked if I'm going for my regular, and they'll put the order in so it's ready to go by the time I've paid. On top of that, I'm their only customer who enjoys peppermint mochas (I know this because they have told me as much), but they make sure to keep it stocked just to keep me coming back! If that's not the best service you could ask for, I don't know what is! On top of good service though, the food is likewise good quality, and delicious. You can easily substitute things out or ask for things that aren't necessarily on the menu and they will make it happen! The bagels are always fresh and delicious, the sandwiches are likewise excellent, and they also have seasonal menu items as well (my personal favorite is their summer lobster roll made with real lobster meat). In the past year they upgraded their decor to an even more charming cozy but hip cafe look with paintings, hanging lights and bright colors so the environment is great for meeting friends, family and co-workers. My one and only issue (which may just be me being picky) is their espresso machine is not the best. It is rather small and limited so they seem to be constantly refilling it which can take time if you're in a rush to grab your morning latte and run to work. That aside though, I've never had an incorrect or missing part of my order so I consider this place a reliable morning choice. read more

I know it's Covid, but this was kinda insane. Really appreciate the quick service since all the other bagel places are busy but it makes sense why they aren't. Salt bagel had barely any salt on it, and They put it on the wrong bagel. Brothers bagel was supposed to be everything bagel, but he got my salt and I was somehow given a plain. Asked for substitutions and weren't given them. Overall mediocre BEC, bagel itself tasted like it was bought at a wawa. Love supporting local but cmon. Just had a bagel with cream cheese and nova lox. The pile of lox was fresh-I'm very sensitive to that fishy smell but this was perfect. Bagel crisp, lettuce fresh. Definitely recommend. Worst dining experience/customer service ever. I ordered 4 breakfast sandwiches on bagels only to find out once I got home that they had run out of bagels and had put my sandwiches on white bread instead without telling me. I called and pointed out that I would have been understanding if they had let me know that they had run out of bagels, but instead they charged me the same amount for food I didn't order or want. They were not at all cooperative and it is safe to say I will NEVER be going back. Still waiting on my refund!! read more

The food here is decent but I was thoroughly grossed out by none of the employees wearing gloves and handling all of the food with their hands. I went here for lunch and ordered one of their specials, the bbq chicken panini. It was decent, but the chicken breast was very thin and the panini sandwich was a pressed hoagie roll. I witnessed the cashier who took my money, turn around and make someone's bagel with no gloves. I was probably waiting close to 10 mins for my order and didn't witness any employee washing their hands as they were handling multiple customer's food orders.
