Only tasted a few "patisseries" (pastries). The chocolate croissant was nice. It was flaky, with a nice crispy texture on the outside. Buttery but not too much. A good version for sure. Chocolate eclair has great flavor. The pâte à choux was a bit dense though. Average. The mille-feuilles (napoleon) was good. The pastry itself had good flavor and texture. It could have been a bit more filled with pastry cream for my taste but I liked it. Took to go, fast and easy in the AM. read more

Every Hanukkah Delice has a really creative donut menu! I discovered them four years ago but every year I've tried to get them they were sold out in the bakery. This year I was determined to finally try them and ordered early for delivery. And let me tell you...they were worth the wait! We got custard, jelly, chocolate, dulce de leche, and praline. The ratio of filling to dough was perfect. The dough was cooked to buttery perfection. Everything tasted so fresh. My favourite donut was predictably the fancy praline one. It was so beautiful to look at but also so delicious and special. I've never had a praline flavour donut before. Delice is kosher pas yisrael yoshon and parve for those who are interested. I just had my daughters Bat Mitzvah and i ordered deserts and a huge montee tower of cream puffs from here. The service was excellent from making the catering order to the delivery. It was on time and even extra early. It was set on platters beautifully. Next part it was delicious i had 75 people and it went in 5 MINUTES. The deserts that were for 90 people went in minutes that fast. The only issue i had was that i ordered to little. I had to of put a catering order for 300 pieces because it went so fast. This is the best French bakery in LA by far! We buy their cakes from time to time and order too good to go every chance we get. I've never tasted better baked goods from any other bakeries. The owner is the sweetest person. Always makes sure that we get what we want and a little more. Everyone of the staff are incredibly kind and professional. We always see the couches outside full of happy customers socializing and enjoying their coffee. Oh yeah, they have plenty of seating outside and it's not some plastic chairs. Every time I have gotten a pastry here (3 times so far), it has been bad unfortunately. I keep trying to give them a chance, but the most recent time I went in to get a cookie and it was rock hard and just not very tasty. It was a chocolate cookie so I figured how bad can it be? Cake itself was delicious (+1 star), however they lost our order for my daughter's bday party and it ended up arriving to the event 2 hours late. They didn't have delivery as promised when we first put in the order and paid, so we had a family member pick it up on their way. When they arrived at the bakery they had not made the cake yet!! Super unprofessional. They had to start the cake then and when it was finally ready we had to have it delivered via uber. If it arrived even 5 min later the bday venue would not have let us cut and serve the cake since we were running out of time.
