I held my sister's baby shower at their café and it was seriously amazing! If you are looking for a cute venue for a birthday, shower, whatever, Delice is seriously the way to go. I wish I could give more stars. Here are the details: - Rented the whole cafe which was awesome. We had about 25 people there,but definitely room for more. - Joseph and his team were unreal and took care of everyone. They were always smiling and so willing to help us out with anything we needed. - Food was also unreal. People kept coming up to me saying how delicious it all was. Mushroom Napoleon was delish! Meatball on the puff was AMAZING, quiche was crazy good, and the macarons.. best I've ever had. Lastly, the chocolate truffles...... I mean.. crazy good. Took some home to my hubby and he loves them! Everyone was raving about all of it! - Music was perfect and everyone just loved the look of the café. They also said the just wanted to come back and hang out in the café. :) I would 100% throw another event there. Wow. I finally go the chance to check this place out after hearing all the good things about it and was amazed by the selections of cakes, cookies, and chocolates. Little works of art displayed ready to eat or take home. They taste even better than they look. (The Egg Nog macaron was my favorite!) Genuinely friendly customer service is icing on the cake. Excellent new bakery and coffee shop located a few doors down from the Ardmore train station. Amazing flavors of macaroons, all made on site, include mango, coconut-lime, chocolate, pistachio, and more. The croissants are flaky and buttery - favorites include almond and chocolate almond. Apricot pastry and apple tart are also very good. Great selection of coffees, regular and decaf. Open every day except Monday. Also nice for lunch with a selection of salads and sandwiches. They are expanding their space and will take over the former radio Shack store on the corner next month - looking forward to seeing the new place and trying the larger selection of French pastry options! read more

At the end of the day around 5pm on a Saturday (they close at 6), the glass case was almost full of desserts! I don't know what they do with what's left for the day, but I think this is a huge plus. Many bakeries I've been to close early when they sell out or have almost nothing left, but not here! I had the cold brew, flan, and some macarons (technically these are "macarons" while the funny looking coconut ones from the grocery store are "macaroons"). The cold brew was great. I had it black, and it was very smooth. The flan was good. The chocolate macarons were very dense and cake-like and taste like brownies. The coffee are turquoise with a brown coffee center. They were great as well. The service was amazing. They bring the pastries and coffee out to your table and clear empty plates as well. read more

Arrived there around 9:30 Saturday morning. There are several pastries choices available. I saw plain, chocolate, and apple croissants. The chocolate croissant is really good and so is the apple, tiramisu is good too. Macarons are available around noon. I have to come back some other time. read more

I found Delice et Chocolat a few weeks ago and have loved grabbing a few treats or croissants (all kinds, savory and sweet!) whenever we want a good treat. We decided to use D&C for our daughter's 25th birthday cake, and we could not have made a better choice. We ordered a large cake for 12 people called the Piedmont (a nice chocolate-hazelnut creation). The decoration was beautifully done with craft and with care. Everyone was wowed with how good the cake was, such quality and not in a heavy way that is typical of American cakes. It was incredible and a very reasonable cost for the size. We will be using D&C exclusively here on out ! read more

Am amazed by all the rave reviews. While aware of the fact the owners of Delice, Joseph and Antoine Amrani, were pastry chefs under Georges Perrier of Le Bec Fin, it seems to me they have tailored their business to suit American tastes meaning overly sweet, quantity over quality. My chocolate almond croissant was HUGE and not in a good way, no light delicate layers of flaky pastry here. The thing weighed a ton, was crunchy like a cookie and outrageously greasy. It was overloaded with chocolate and sweet almond paste, to the point that I had to throw about two-thirds of the disgusting cloying thing away. Surely the Amrani brothers know how to do real croissant pastry but don't come to Delice expecting to find it. Maybe they have just been in the US too long, I don't know. I'm giving this place one star (I'd give it zero stars if I could as the service was sub-par as well) because at least the flavor of my capuccino was good, but to my dismay there was next to no foam to be found. read more

Fantastic cakes, but terrible management. How can you be a pastry shop and completely run out of pastry by 2? On a busy weekend day? You are leaving good money on the table, every day! An extra $100 a day ends up being $3,000 a month, and I believe you could do double that, if you kept better track of and maintained your stock. Yes, I realize it's fresh and you don't want leftovers, but seriously, get a grip, I was almost so mad, I considered not coming back. Lucky for you, I've had your cakes, and there are none better, anywhere. Please produce more pastries and cakes each day. read more

All of their croissants are EXQUISITE. The macarons - impossible to put into words how perfect they are. The coffee is perfection and pairs well with all of their incredible food. Reasonably priced is the icing on the already delicious cake. I have been here twice now. On my first trip, I got pastries and coffee to go and was pleasantly surprised by how delicious everything was. However, I tried to buy a couple of macarons and was told I had to buy a dozen despite there being a sign that gave individual pricing. No big deal - I just didn't purchase any. On my second trip, my friend and I ordered food to sit and eat there. It was a struggle to order a savory crepe with no meat (I'm a vegetarian) and their system gets a little haywire when there's a lot of people there waiting for food. They should perhaps consider giving numbers or something because they didn't actually call people by name despite taking your name with the order. Because of a mixup, my friend was handed someone else's order, even though it was the same thing, and it turned into a whole ordeal where she was told she "took" someone else's order. It was not a very pleasant experience and I'm not sure I will be returning. read more

I have been here several times since the shop opened and noticed an alarming decrease in quality of both service and commodity. The macaroons and croissants were decent. I still much prefer the ones from le petite mitron in Narberth, but Delice is much closer to my house and has nice seatings. Plus, their hot chocolate is as good as the one from le petite mitron. However, my last visit was very disappointing. I got tea and a tiramisu. I was given a paper cup of hot tea at the counter. Ugh. It was obvious I would sit down, because of the tiramisu. So how about a mug?? At least they should have offered the option of a mug. But what pushed me over the edge was the tiramisu. It was FROZEN. With ICE in it. That's just unacceptable. How could any self-respecting dessert place serve such a piece? If I wanted frozen dessert I could have gone to a super market! Not that I ever did. Extremely unhappy and left the disgusting thing on the table. Won't return any time soon. read more
