Leigh Anne and her team have brought us joy and delight once again! My daughter's first birthday was a hit thanks in part to these delicious cakes. Leigh Anne can take an idea and make it her own and she's such a sweetheart to work with. She also navigates allergies and explains everything she uses to make her cakes. Always highly recommended and we can't wait to reach out again!
I came to Delicious Designs with a bit of a funky ask: to hold a cake tasting like you would normally do for a wedding, but instead for my mother-in-law's birthday. Not only were they more than willing to work with me in setting this up, but they wholeheartedly embraced the concept. Leigh Anne met us on the day of and took care of everything, making it a truly special event. We will absolutely be coming back here for any of our bakery needs, especially because the cake was so good!
I've been wanting to try a cake from here for a long time. I honestly feel Reno doesn't have the best cake options so when I heard about this highly rated location I knew I had to try it. The ordering process was smooth and pick up was a breeze. The cake looked amazing. I took it home that fateful Saturday morning and we sliced it that afternoon. While we were enjoying the delicious chocolate cake with raspberry filling I smelled something cooking. I looked outside and said "oh lord Jesus it's a fire!" The Davis fire in south Reno had just started and was growing fast. We all got alerts on our phones to evacuate and we started packing in a hurry. By the time we had some valuables and luggage ready to go the police were at the door telling us to head out. Well on the way out I saw the cake. Ladies and gentlemen, I am here to tell you that I decided that no cake this good should be left behind. We grabbed the cake and headed to a friend's house. The friends were happy enough to see us but even more happy that we brought the cake. This was the 8 inch cake and it was more than enough for two families to enjoy. Highly recommend.
From beginning to end, Delicious Designs was very professional. We had an issue with another bakery in the area but once we started working with Delicious designs, all of our worries went out the window. They made everything so easy!! I am vegan so I wanted a vegan wedding cake and regular cupcakes on the side. Everyone RAVED about the cake and had no idea that it was vegan. We did a marble cake with vegan buttercream frosting. I'm drooling just thinking about it! I might even get cookies shipped to me in San Diego because it was that good. They even delivered the cake and cupcakes to use from Reno to South Lake Tahoe. 10/10 I would tell everyone that's getting married in Reno or Lake Tahoe to work with this company.
Talk about bomb dot com! I had the pleasure of meeting Leigh Anne during an event that I was working and decided to give her a call to do a tasting for my own wedding coming up. First of all, our tasting was complimentary! That was already an awesome start. Walking into the shop we already had a good feeling. It's a local bakery, and the cakes really are made with love! We tried about 8 flavors or so and they were so delicious. We ended up picking raspberry champagne for our cutting cake and got 4 different flavors for cupcakes for our guests. They also have both vegan and gluten free options! We also got to keep all the extra cake from our tasting that we didn't finish, and it was still good the next 2 days! Leigh Anne is literally an angel. Super sweet (both her personality and her cakes). It was an easy no brainer decision to pick her for our big day. Very reasonable prices, and she delivers. Leigh was such a sweetheart ! The cake for our wedding was better than I could have even imagined. It was stunning tasted so good ! We also did cake pops and cookies and everyone could not stop talking about them ! She was so kind & easy to work with. She even made a suggestion for our son to have his own personalized cupcake. . She sent a personalized thank you card and gift as well. She really goes out of her way and it did not go un noticed. He felt so special and so did we. So amazing! We dropped the ball on ordering a custom mermaid cake for our daughter's 5th birthday party, and found ourselves frantically calling around to every bakery in town only a week before the occasion. Luckily, Delicious Designs was able to accommodate on such a short notice! From start to finish, my interaction with Leigh Ann was super pleasant! She was professional and thorough, but also so sweet and understanding about our last-minute needs. The price was totally reasonable too! When I saw the cake, I was floored! Great detail and beautiful designs. It was gorgeous and exactly what we wanted for our little girl's special day! Finally, the cake itself was delicious - dense and moist and super flavorful. It was such a hit and everyone enjoyed it. Thank you for a great experience and for accommodating us! We will always keep this place in mind for future parties - though we promise to give more notice next time! :-P

I had to provide another update now that I got photos back from the photographer AND my guests haven't stopped talking about the desserts. I feel like it's rare to have cake that looks beautiful AND is delicious, but Delicious Designs has figured it out. For my wedding, we ordered a 2 tier cake (top tier was funfetti and bottom was lemon), cookies and churro cake pops (the owner created those especially for me because churros are my favorite!). The cookies were gone before dinner was even served. The cake pops were phenomenal. And the cake tasted great that night and for breakfast the next day ha. I super appreciate how flexible, creative and kind the team was during the decision making, ordering and delivery process.
We booked Delicious Designs to make our wedding cake in October 2023. The owner of Delicious Designs, Leigh Anne, and her team are so amazing to work with and extremely talented! You can't go wrong when you choose them! They were so helpful from the minute we booked them. First, we had a tasting shortly after booking, and the cake flavors are to die for!!! During the tasting, Leigh Anne worked with us to pick a cake size that stayed within our budget but was also able to feed all our guests. Her input was so helpful! During the tasting, as hard as it was to choose flavors, we went with Berry Champagne for one tier and Lemon Lovers for the other--highly recommended, especially the Berry Champagne! It's amazing! As we got close to the wedding, I decided to add some desserts, including macrons purchased through Delicious Designs(so good) and chocolate chip cookies. What I really appreciated is that Leigh Anne helped me decide how many to order, to make sure I wasn't breaking the bank. We cut back on cake in order to have more cookies and we had the perfect amount! If she hadn't made suggestions, we would have spent way more than needed. On the day of the wedding, she worked great with our florist to decorate the cake. When I saw it, I was in awe that a cake could be so beautiful. It was the most beautiful cake I had ever seen. Guests loved both the look and the taste! We had so many comments and the cookies were also a hit! Additionally, since my husband had to leave the tasting early to get to a 49-er game(lol, diehard 49er's fan), Leigh Anne had the great idea to surprise him with a box of hand-decorated 49er cookies on his place setting the day of the wedding. He absolutely loved them. He didn't want to eat them at first because of how great the design was, but the minute he bit into one, he couldn't stop! The cookies were so thoughtful of Leigh Anne and I felt like she really got to know us as a couple. This was truly one of our favorite vendors to work with! You cannot find a better baker for your wedding than Delicious Designs! If you book them, you will not regret it!

I highly recommend this bakery for any of your event needs. Leigh Anne was so accommodating - we needed cookies for an event and she and her staff created a design incorporating our logo that was perfect. As these were a parting gift for attendees, she and her staff individually wrapped each cookie and tied the package with a ribbon. I ordered a chocolate cake for my dad's 80th birthday. The cake was phenomenal! Moist, dense, excellent chocolate buttercream frosting. The cake was $80 and was said to serve 15 people. It is easy to see why all the reviews for this place are 5 stars. Leigh Ann made the process of ordering a cake for a surprise going-away party easy for my company. I needed a NY themed cake for two people being transferred to our NY office. A few conversations later and we got it done. I gave her some basic details and she executed it way better than I could have hoped. Everyone was pleased and pickup and payment were a breeze. Leigh Anne is absolutely awesome! She made the most gorgeous cupcakes for my daughter's 7th birthday party. Her vanilla cake with sprinkles was a big hit! The kids loved the icing colors and all the decorations. I called her about a week before my sons 8th birthday party I let her know he was having an angry birds theme party she sent me a few ideas and when I went to pick up the cake I was very surprised! I called Leigh Anne last week in the hopes she could make 2 cakes for my twins birthday this weekend and she said yes! Then today I pulled the cakes out and set them up for their 5th Olympics birthday party and the cakes took the party to the next level. They were exactly the name DELICIOUS!!! We ordered a chocolate cake with strawberry whip cream filling and white butter cream AND a vanilla cake with chocolate mouse and chocolate ganache. Wow!! That really sums up, in a very good way, my interactions with Delicious Designs and Leigh Anne! Our wedding was only planned two months out and was supposed to be very very small so no cake was needed. As the weeks went by, the guest list increased, so I decided I wanted a cake. With probably less than a weeks notice, Leigh Anne stepped up and made the exact cake I had in my head. I asked for a simple two tier lemon cake with no decorations. Not only did she make this happen beautifully, she made chocolate vegan cupcakes for my daughter at the last minute. I'm attaching a picture of the cake "table". My daughter did the decorating and I must say, for someone with not much in the decorating department, everything came out better than I could ever imagine. And not only was the cake perfect, it was yummy delicious. I can't wait for my one year anniversary to dig in to that top layer! Leigh Ann WAS AMAZING! I was going to Reno for a Wedding and was trying to help find my friends a nice cake on short notice. I am currently in Colorado and the Bride and Groom were in North Dakota so we were scattered. We had no way before the wedding to all meet up to the shop and do a taste test or anything. I contacted the cake shop and Leigh Ann was kind, patient, and VERY helpful. We talked through emails and over the phone. I WAS SO HAPPY with her and the out come of the cake. The happy couple chose Champagne Raspberry as their flavor and it was DELICIOUS! The shops name was on POINT!!! If any one is in RENO or going to RENO for any event hit up this cake shop. This cake... this cake was AMAZING! I'm pretty sure the only cake that I would put ahead of this as far as cake love is my wedding cake (and that is only because that's what you are suppose to say). I went to pick this brick of deliciousness up and it weighed close to a literal ton... and it was a 10x10 cake. And then we ate it, and I realized the reason for this weightiness. Dense in the absolute BEST way. I wanted to eat this for every meal following our party. Our cake was chocolate with Oreo mixed into the butter cream filling. And it was so good. Leighanne was a charm to work with, super sweet, timely, and trustworthy. She emailed me back consistently and called the day before to confirm our pick up time. I really wanted to love delicious designs, I really did. I am envious of all other reviews because they got the experience I really wanted. I am new to the area and when I saw the reviews and photos, I was so happy I found a reputable baker to take care of birthday cake. My consultation with the owner went well. My order was written and drawn exactly as I could have hoped. She said my order would be ready the day I needed. When the owner said she'd be on vacation, I wasn't worried because my order was written and drawn exactly as I wanted and again, reputation. This unfortunately ended in me crying in the bakery and a surprise party completely abandoned. Cake was not ready on time because it had to be redecorated. The lettering on the cake originally looked liked a child's handwriting. When it was "fixed" they used cookie frosting so the letters melted, flattened, and spread all over. The fondant border of the cake that was in the order drawing was completely, the fix to that was to spray the cake with a sticky blue adhesive to attach actual ribbon. It was inedible and sloppy. The girls who tried to salvage the cake were very apologetic and didn't charge me the $70 the cake was supposed to cost. They said the owner would contact me. It's been almost a month and I've heard nothing. And at the end of it all, I was not able to surprise my partner with a cake, the time and money spent on party decorations and supplies as well as inviting people was complete wasted!! People showed up for a party that didn't happen because I was late with the cake. Luckily my partner is very understanding but me in tears and eating by ourselves on their 31st birthday wasn't the night we had planned. I wouldn't recommend. read more

Leigh Anne was absolutely wonderful! She offered so many different choices for the cake. She listened to all that I wanted and made it happen. The result was breath taking and I am so happy I chose her to make my wedding cake. She also offered a gluten/dairy free option for my mother in law and everyone who had the gluten/dairy free chocolate cupcakes absolutely loved them! We had three options for our cake flavors, a coconut flavor, a strawberry flavor, and for the top we have another strawberry flavor that my husband and I will enjoy on our 1st year anniversary. The design of the cake was absolutely stunning, took my breath away when I laid eyes on it! The taste and flavors were so good! Melt in your mouth, moist, fluffy, pure deliciousness! Everything from the experience to the actual product was just absolutely amazing! And Leigh Anne took my order in the last minute! My "friend" was originally suppose to make my cake but backed out last minute and Leigh Anne was my Wonder Woman, swept in and saved the day! I really cannot say enough good things about my experience with Delicious Designs. You can't beat the flavor and design, and at a very reasonable price for brides on a budget! Leigh Ann was by far the sweetest, most talented and creative baker I have ever met! She did the dessert table for my wedding on July 6 at Edgewood in Tahoe and she blew my mind! Her display was unbelievable! We had 6 different desserts so everyone could have something they enjoyed! The display and the desserts were tip top! They looked absolutely beautiful! Not only did they look wonderful, they tasted wonderfully as well!!! Everyone at the wedding was ranting and raving about how good everything was! Our wedding cake was the best cake I have ever had! I chose Delicious Designs based on the excellent reviews I found on Yelp and I am so very pleased with the results. Leigh Anne kept in constant contact with me about details and the end result was fabulous! Of course I had a special request...that's why I chose to do some investigating. The comments people make mean alot to me and I am very happy that she was able to make (and deliver) my special cake which was a law book with a gavel and tassle. Typically meant for a law student's graduation but we used it to celebrate an attorney's 40 year anniversary. Everyone loved it and asked who made it so a polite suggestion Leigh Anne, when you make cakes from now on, turn it in with a few of your business cards so that the host can hand out your card when people want to know who made it. Ours was white cake with fresh strawberries in a strawberry mousse filling. It was delicious! Thank you so much for all your hard work. You will be hearing from me again. read more

Leigh Anne is amazing! I live in Virginia and was planning our wedding from afar and she made the process so smooth! She was very attentive and made a perfect two tier naked cake for us, and two sheet cakes! We got red velvet and a strawberry flavor, and they were a huge hit! It also looked beautiful and she added a silver coloring to it per my request, and then added some florals from the florist to it. It was perfect! Even before the wedding day she offered that once we or family was in town we could still do a tasting if we wanted. She was so flexible and we so appreciate all that she did for us.
