My friend and I made a reservation for 5:30 PM (just in case) as we read online that reservations were recommended, but I don't actually think one was needed. When you walk in, it's bright and inviting. The garage doors throughout the property provide a ton of natural light. I can only imagine how lovely it is when they're open in the summer. Additionally, the outside has a nice patio and an area with a fire pit. The restaurant's layout was designed wonderfully! Our server was Alex (Alexandria) and she was the epitome of exceptional service. She checked in on us multiple times and always had a smile on her face when she came over. We really appreciated having her. The baked feta and hummus appetizer was just as delicious as it looks in the photo. The thick pieces of garlic, roasted red peppers, olives, cucumbers and pita bread triangles paired so nicely with the feta. The hummus was warmed up and it looked like the kitchen staff may have torched the top of it. It was phenomenal. Boy do I have notes on the lentil burger - it was 10/10!! I'm not a big bean person and even though this burger had beans in it, it somehow tasted like an actual beef burger. Sounds crazy, I know, but trust and believe it was pure excellence. I added cheddar for an additional charge and upgraded my regular fries to garlic parm fries. Finally, the caramel apple bread pudding... oh my oh my! What a DELIGHT. The top was piled high with a big scoop of frosting. Yes, you read that right. Frosting! Not ice cream! You can taste the apple pieces in the bread pudding. My friend and I wanted to order it twice. The favorites were the white peach and pineapple margaritas (the other 2 in the flight were the traditional and prickly pear). We ordered the Crab Mexican Street Corn for an appetizer and while it was loaded with crab, it wasn't Mexican Street Corn ... it was seasoned corn with old bay and a few other ingredients topped with crab. I ordered the Steak & Shrimp Combo Fajitas which was a nice portion size (I took 3/4 home) and the flavors were pretty darn tasty, but when you order fajitas you expect the "sizzle" and these didn't have that nor were they have the right temperature ... they were just warm when I wanted and expected them to be hot. The parking lot looked a little lonely when I pulled in. Not dead exactly, just resting its eyes. Inside were a handful of regulars who had the settled look of people who know which waitress works Tuesdays and which booth wobbles. My kind of crowd. The waitress appeared almost before I sat down. I did not need the menu. Two scrambled eggs, home fries, white toast, scrapple, coffee. Scrapple, for the uninitiated, is what happens when Pennsylvania Dutch thrift and ingenuity collides with breakfast meat and nobody asks too many questions afterward. It is made from pork "scraps," cornmeal and existential resignation. Fried correctly, it is uniquely magnificent. Mine was magnificent. Thin slices, crisp around the edges, soft and moist in the middle, clearly worked on a grill by somebody who respected the material. The eggs were right, the home fries actually tasted of potatoes, and the coffee arrived hot and kept returning as faithfully as a Labrador retriever. The food came out with astonishing speed, which under the circumstances may have saved me from gnawing on the booth. Eighteen bucks including tip. If in the area, I wouldn't hesitate to go back. Not the singer but an Amazing server and so Kind and friendly!! She reminds me of when my Grandparents had several restaurants as I grew up in New Jersey. Idil makes you feel immediately at ease and very welcomed. Her service is always consistent and great. Many servers are great, But no one is charming and really builds that relationship where You WANT to come back as soon as possible!! We also Love Aleeka!! She's amazing, too. We Love these Ladies and their service is Great! The place is always spotless and well cared for and Clean! It reminds my family of when diners were Diners in NJ.
