I'm not gonna tank this review just because it wasn't my cup of tea. We tried the egg custard buns and those we good. The soup dumplings were middle of the road and the wonton soup left much to be desired. I may have to try it again to give a better review. We had a party of about 20+ people here for a birthday party. They allowed us to make reservations inside this fast casual style restaurant. You order at the register then get a seat. We spent $400+ for all the food. The best thing is the pork XLB and pork/shrimp XLB. I give it 4/5 stars for a Yuba City restaurant. The Yangzhou fried rice had shrimp and spam. I was surprised there was spam because it's usually real pork, lol. It's usually my go-to fried rice order but it was a huge mistake. I give it a 2/5. We also ordered Yangzhou noodles which was 2/5 also. The popcorn chicken was surprisingly delicious. It's like the popcorn chicken at T4 Boba but without the fried basil. The place hardly had any AC so we were sweating inside while struggling with the 100 degree heat outside. We had hella finished dishes that needed to be taken away. Nobody came to clear our tables (we occupied 6 tables). We had to pick it up and put it on a different table. I've been Chinese all of my life and eating out in Chinese Restaurants most of my life. Very rarely do I encounter something new that leaves me wondering what else I've been missing out on. Many new restaurants have sprung up over the past five years that serve Xiao Long Bao otherwise known as Pork Soup Dumplings. You'll also often find Pan-Fried Pork & Vegetable Bao, Hand-Pulled Noodles and Wonton in Hot Oil. Delicious Dumpling House has on their menu, Sour & Spicy Wonton Soup. I thought that perhaps that they had misnamed Wonton in Hot & Sour Soup, one of my favorite dishes. Boy, was I wrong! There were 10 Wonton swimming in what was mostly a clear broth with chili flakes, seaweed, green onions. and I'm sure, some vinegar. This dish was one of our favorites of everything we ate on a 17-day road trip. The aforementioned Xiao Long Bao were thin-skinned, soupy and super flavorful. The Pan-Fried Pork & Vegetable Bao were equally delicious, crispy on bottom, soft everywhere else and also loaded with flavor One dish that we enjoyed at the restaurant while it was hot was the Yang Zhou Fried Noodles. It was a very attractive Chow Mein type dish with lots of small shrimp, diced Spam, some cabbage and green onions. We think that if they reduced the Shrimp and Spam by 50%, and increased the noodles by 50%, this would actually be a better dish. It seems that we ate most of the noodles at the restaurant and when reheated, the other components without enough noodles was very salty. Of course, that is a subjective opinion and everyone's tastebuds are different. Service was good albeit a bit stilted. We sat at Table 1 and when each dish that was delivered, it was announced as, "Table 1, I have your next dish". Who would've known such an amazing dumpling place was hidden here in Yuba city. This spot is great for dining in or take out the ambiance was very pleasant and so were the staff. Our food was prepared fresh you can watch them prepare the dumplings near the counter and the food came out quick. You know the dumplings are going to be good when you can watch them being made. DO NOT sleep on the fried tofu -- perfectly crispy on the outside, and melted like butter in your mouth. Ask for a side of sweet and spicy sauce to go with it, a perfect pairing. If you get one thing, make sure it's that. The pork XLB is great, rich and flavorful broth. The service is exactly what is expected from a Chinese restaurant: they do not bother you while you're eating! I personally hate being asked if my meal is good while my mouth is full. The moment you walk through the door it is very vibrant and you get a lovely welcome. The furniture and design is very simply quaint with cute gold accents. I tried at least one thing from each section of the menu and asked for recommendations and the young woman at the register recommended popular items. I have a family of 8 and we all were able to have a little taste of everything and have a little left over. So portion and price was decent. Food was very good even my little ones enjoyed could not get enough of the shrimp fried rice and shrimp dumplings. We will be returning to dine in and I highly recommend a must try in Yuba. The food is made fresh right in front of you! So, please be aware of the 30 minute wait for your food. For it being the only dumpling house in town, it was worth the wait! I ordered 2 orders of pork Xiao long baos, green beans and potstickers. The Xiao Long Baos were delicious! Perfect skin thickness and the right amount of soup. Did not expect to find good Chinese food (not Chinese American slop) near Marysville! We always think it's a little funny to not have any Chinese food at the bok kai festival, but now we've found our spot in Yuba City for when we visit from Sacramento! I've had XLB at din tai fung, journey to the dumpling, and a handful of other spots but honestly the ones at delicious dumpling house really nailed it for me in simply sweet, plump, fresh shrimp flavor and mildly chewy and thin wrapper. Very consistent, didn't burn my tongue, didn't need to add anything. Would get again. I've only had zha jiang mian once before at a place in the south bay where that was their popular dish - I kind of hated it there and so never tried it again but I would get it again here. I was expecting it to basically be like dumping a saucier black bean sauce onto noodles but NO IT'S DELICIOUS. Very mushroomy (like shiitake), dry not too saucey, soaks well into noodles, not too salty. Can be eaten as cold leftovers. While I enjoyed the beef noodle soup (pretty much exactly what I was expecting and craved, had a nice light-medium undertone of spice heat, a little mushroomy undertone to the flavorful beefy broth), I would rather order the zha jiang mian ^_^ same medium-thick and chewy noodles, very neutral and good. And their cucumber app is very good! Maybe one of my favorite versions so far of this dish. They are cut, not crushed, can be a little slippery to pick up with chopsticks. Simple, sweet with a light lemon/vinegary zing, warm flavor from sesame oil, mildly salty and flavored from soy sauce. Would get it again. Everything we had here felt relatively light, not too oily. Can be eaten as cold leftovers. You go in, order and pay at the front, choose a table number, and then eat! Very clean, great service. read more

We have visited the Delicious Dumpling House on two separate occasions and have been highly satisfied both times. The dumplings are amazing. They are freshly made right there, you can literally see staff making them. We also tried the beef soup which was flavorful and the beef was so tender and just falling apart. I was expecting more and had high hopes as ate dumplings in SAC, SF , Vancouver BC, Hong Kong, and Vietnam. My. hopes were dashed as they felt to be store bought as were doughie , cool(not steamy) and soggy. I notced the dumpling preparor seemed to be rushed and dumplings appeared under cooked. The soup we had was not good Finally, I feel price point was also high. My daughter goes there and she likes the place. This was my first time trying dumplings and I have to say I wasn't sure what to expect. The dumplings were made fresh as you ordered but kinda bland in tasting. I tried creating a sauce with the soy sauce vinegar chilli mix but I would really liked it if they provided different types of sauce to dip them in? I'm new to this so maybe that's not possible? I honestly wish I could say something positive about this place, but it was a complete disappointment from start to finish. The chicken in the fried rice tasted off and honestly kind of gross--definitely not fresh. The dumplings were even worse; the meat inside was mushy and had an unappetizing texture that made it hard to eat more than a bite. On top of that, everything was overpriced for the quality we received. To make matters worse, they brought out our pan-fried dumplings after we had already finished eating and were literally getting ready to leave. At that point, it just felt like an afterthought. This was the second time we've come to this restaurant but the first time that we sat down to have the meal. We love the food and we loved the experience. The staff is super friendly, well knowledgeable of the menu, and very accommodating. Our food came out hot, and fairly quickly. I love how the restaurant is nice and open with options to sit in a booth or at a table with a group or by yourself. Everything is bright and anyone can be here to enjoy a meal. This was the first time my wife and I brought a few friends and one of them had never had dumplings before. Not only did he eat a whole plate to himself of chicken dumplings, he also enjoyed the scallion pancakes, the marinated cucumber, the egg fried rice, the fried tofu, he also enjoyed the egg custard bun. We had a good time enjoying great food at a wonderful establishment. If you are reading this as a local and have never been here before, you are missing out. We were on a mission to find some decent wonton soup, we struck out on a Tuesday evening at a couple other places in Yuba City/Marysville area. We walked in and were immediately greeted. We looked over the menu made our selections of Wonton Soup, Chicken Fried Rice, and the Pork and Chive Potstickers. I know this place is supposed to ba all about the dumplings, those will have to be tried in the future as I will be back. The ambiance is well lit, clean, Think late 90's Asian furniture store trimmed in gold and faux light gray leather. Seating was comfy and the other tables were tended to well. The staff is quiet, yet friendly. The portions are fair for the pricing, the ingredients are unbelievably fresh. This place is easily the best Asian food in Yuba City. Came in around 1pm to do a quick to go order. The employee at the register was very friendly. He was kept busy with delivering orders, bussing tables and running the register. We wanted to try it out so we ordered B1 - pork soup dumplings. This is definitely not a place to go if you are in a hurry. Everything is fresh made so there could be a wait. The restaurant is clean and bright. There is an area where the dumplings are being made and you can watch : ) The pork soup dumplings tasted good but Seemed to be a little pricey for the size. So is this the best dumpling place- no. But for Yuba City standards its probably the best in town. Prices are a bit high but everything is these days. Look we ordered some soup dumplings- they were good, held together, and had a good wonton soup flavor. I will say best I have had in YC. The bao pork buns were cooked well - fluffy with a good amount of filling - but a bit bland (go across the street to China house for these). The pork and corn dumplings were good (minus a bit if grissel). The register girl was very nice and the staff brought us out a carafe of cold water. On the table was chili sauce with seasme (which I hate and they didnt have another option), vinager, and soy sauce. There were about 10-12 tables and it felt very clean inside. I would definitely go back to try other things. In the grand scheme of dumpling olaces its probably a 3 but given its YC and there is nothing else like it I gave them a modest 4. We were greeted promptly and the staff helped answer our questions about menu items as we ordered at the register before taking a seat at our table of choice. Decided to go on a lunch date with my wife. Been driving by this place and waiting for it to officially open for a while. Tried many soup dumplings and was excited for one to open in this area. The service was friendly. The food was great. The soup dumplings had plenty of broth in them. I been to other places and the broth is only a drip and soaked up. The fried rice was amazing and had plenty of flavor. The soup was the only item that was not to our liking as it was a little bland. Added some soy sauce and vinegar and chili oil to make it pop a little bit. The Yang Zhou Fried noodles were fantastic as well and had plenty of flavor.
