I have been eating here since I was a child. The food is great, and the customer service is even better. Once they made me a special item that wasn't on the menu to accommodate my diet. I used to love this restaurant. I recommended it to everyone I knew. Sadly, I will never return to this place! The waitress behaved in a completely unhinged manner. I went with my husband and we both ordered diet cokes with our meals. The sodas had a horrible taste. Like mold or mildew, mixed with chemicals and medicine. I told her that something was wrong with it and I would like it removed from the bill. She didn't answer me. She just returned to her perch over by the register, where she spent her time on her phone...never asking if the food was good, or asking if we needed anything else. The one thing we did ask for was hot mustard, she acted put-out. When the time came to go up to the register to pay I asked her if she took the soda off the bill, she said no. Then I forbade her from running my credit card unless she took it off the bill. She ignored me and ran my credit card anyway. She flat our refused to refund me for a drink that I took 2 sips from! I politely told her to give me $3 cash, which was the cost of the soda I didn't drink. She refused. I asked her if she is willing to lose 2 good customers forever over $3. She said "I don't care, don't come back!". We eventually got into a yelling match, in which I demanded she give me $3. She eventually gave me my $3 in cash, as the entire restaurant full of people watched her lose 2 long time loyal customers over something utterly idiotic. This was the first time my family and I had food from this restaurant. We were getting the meal to go but we placed our order there. Walking in, we were greeted by a cheerful lady who was also enjoying a quick bite while taking orders and seating people. She was great and warm and knowledgeable of the menu. The menu is a little extensive, but she helped me with my anxiety. The food was amazing! My favorite of the dishes we ordered (shown in my photos) was the egg drop soup. Not only was it warm and tasty, it was perfect for what I wanted to end the day. All the food was packaged well and my family enjoyed it. Even though we did not get the chance to eat in, the place was very nostalgic of similar restaurants my family and I used to frequent when I was younger. Unfortunately, everyone got sick eating delivery from here. The 1 item we all ate was the Honey Walnut Shrimp with gobs of mayo. The shrimp were not breaded, which was a first for us. Someone said their first bite had a bitter taste. We spent well over $100.00 for all of us to be throwing up and having watery stool all day the next day. This was the worse Chinese food ever. The house fried rice had so much grease in the bottom of it. It was gross and soggy. We ordered the appetizer platter, house chow mein, green bean beef, and sweet and sour pork takeout, and everything tasted perfectly fine. I like the combination of the appetizer platter. Parking was easy, lots of parking. The place was clean and well lit. It could have been warmer inside as we got cold gusts of air whenever the front door opened and we were in the middle of the restaurant. Lady at the front was nice, definitely got nicer the longer we were there too. We got the cream cheese wontons, egg rolls, honey walnut shrimp, chicken chow mein, general chicken, and pineapple fried rice with chicken. The cream cheese wontons were completely flavorless. The egg rolls tasted overwhelmingly of cumin and coriander. The honey walnut shrimp....imagine this: candied walnut, soggy fried shrimp, COVERED in sugary mayonnaise. Absolutely disgusting. The general chicken was fine - the menu said it was spicy but it wasn't. I wish it was crunchier but the sauce made it soggy. And the broccoli it came with was barely cooked so it was hard to eat. The chow mein was fine - not much flavor either and the chicken was pretty rubbery. The pineapple fried rice was the best dish we got, but the chicken in it was totally unseasoned. If we came here and got just the general chicken and fried rice, we would probably feel like this place was okay, but the rest was so bad it is hard to forget...we are sad as we were hoping for a good local Chinese spot. read more

The food is flavorless....the Brandy fried chicken just tastes like plain tempura chicken with no salt. So very disappointed! The food honestly was almost not eatable, the brandy fried chicken was slimy, the met that was in the pork fried rice had blue pieces of meat. Come in with low expectations and you'll leave exactly how you'd expect. Food was not the worst but definitely not the best. The lady who sat me down was pretty loud but I can tell she doesn't mean to sound mean or aggressive when she speaks. The BBQ pork chowmein I had was probably the worst I've ever put in my mouth. Noodles were mushy. Didn't have color compared most places I've been to around the area including the Bay Area and down in LA. The waitress pointed at their all day lunch special for $10.99 which blew my mind away but from reading these mixed reviews I had to try it as well. So I got the orange chicken that came with either fried rice or chowmein. Since I already ordered chowmein I decided to go fried rice. The friend rice was so disappointing. Considering I'm Asian my self I can assure you that we know a thing or two about rice. The two stars wasn't for the food or the employees. It was simply because I've lived here for 30 years and drove past this place a crazy amount of times and never batted an eye at the restaurant. I had been hearing on social media that with new management the food was really good, including the Brandi fried chicken. We purchased the dinner for three . Brandi, fried chicken did not seem like the batter was cooked. It was soggy and had an extremely weird flavor.. none of us ate it. All the chicken went in the the garbage. I was thinking that the chow mein would be like the original chow mein, which I believe is possibly called something else now. We liked the mixture from the past with the crunchy noodles on the bottom. The sweet-and-sour pork was OK as well as the fried shrimp. The fried rice did not have much flavor. Seems like there's a lot of mixed reviews here, some people miss the old owners food and some people like what the new owners have done. I've never been to this place with the old owners but tried it recently with the new owners and I have to say it's the best around the Yuba Sutter area. I've been trying almost every Chinese restaurant around the area trying to find good Chinese food but was always disappointed. This place had very good tasting food and comes with a good portion of food. Could care less for the fried rice but everything else was delicious! I've been eating at Lee's since I was a kid and this has always been out "go to". Each time family visits from out of town, Lee's is on their "Must Eat" list.
