Portions were generous without being outrageous. Plenty of choices without being overwhelming. Taste is authentic. Chopsticks available on request. Decor consists of Japanese art on scrolls. So good! Big portions and it always tastes fresh. We usually get it to go but the inside is nice and casual. I can typically get about two meals out of a bowl. They definitely don't skimp on meat, veggies, etc. I've never had bad service and the people inside are always really nice. read more

You guys are by far one of the worst/LAZY restaurants in terms of service, and keeping your doors open on your stated business hours. (it's one thing to start shutting down two minutes until 8 o'clock... It's a whole different thing to shut down 20 minutes early when you make orders within 5 minutes or so. That is a terrible precedent, that is a terrible work ethic, and it's shameful really. I'm curious how much business you have sent away with your terrible attitude, closing, early, and everything else you do that would make any business owner cringe and probably send you packing. And maybe this is the notice that's needed. But unfortunately, nepotism usually runs high and places like that. Still, I'd have a talk with you. First of all, we already noticed that you reduced your hours from Covid. Guess what??! Covid is a non-issue and there are no regulations right now. So you just gonna leave those mediocre hours to go along with your mediocre service I guess. OK I get it. But I have a question for the larger fellow, who is working there, because this is an issue with society in general, and he is part of this issue: Can you be a decent person and not cop an attitude? I wasn't the one that ordered, but February 24, 2024 at about 20 minutes before your stated close time, Just to make it clear for you and do the math: - That means you close at eight - Now do that 20 minute subtraction, which means we were there at 7:40. (you take about 5 minutes to make an order so no excuse) It was painful to watch grown man act like a child and have a very passive aggressive little temper tantrum. Last time I saw one of those, I think it was on a four-year-old child. Does anyone take pride in what they do anymore? Sure it's probably not a dream job, but it's called pride. Pride in oneself. Not wanting to look like sort of a... I guess to keep it nicer, I'll just say a bum who gets by on minimal effort. I could go on forever. I'll just say it's a good thing. It wasn't me who went inside. And I did notice that you're quite theatrical, so perhaps you'd like to do some community theater because you acted like a drama queen, and this is what I watched. Save it for your little community shows. Nobody wants to have any part of that while out of restaurant. As for the young woman who worked there, you were wonderful, and I appreciate on behalf of the person who picked it up and having to watch it. I'm gonna take the highroad, but you certainly give me a lot to work with if I didn't. But I will say that it must be tough closing at 7:45, and having to stay there until 8 o'clock. Wow, your life is terrible buddy (misery loves company and I just watched the epitome of it) as annoying as it was to watch, it was a very good thing I didn't go in because I don't put up with under performing drama queens, who do the bare minimum to get by. My MIL buys from here all the time and loves it. She put me onto it so while in town, i picked up two happy bowls one night & whoa, they were delicious! The meats were Cooked perfect with the right amount of sauce, rice, and vegetables! The staff was so friendly and welcoming when i picked up my order. The Teriyaki House on Butte House Road has been a favorite of ours for several years. Great food, and wonderful people. After not being there for about 6 months we went back in August, but things have changed. Their Spring Rolls were the best in town, but that is no longer the case. The shrimp in the Happy Bowl is no longer the quality it was. The new faces behind the counter make me wonder if the restaurant has changed hands. The new faces were very friendly. The food was as good as, but to be expected, the prices have risen. We won't be back soon. read more

After ordering two orders of eggs rolls and chicken teriyaki bowl, I watched staff remove premade, boxed and frozen egg rolls from freezer. Chicken teriyaki was also premade and I watched them microwave it to heat it up. Asked for sauce and told it's extra. I showed the guy the bowl had no sauce and still wouldn't give me sauce. My wife and I tried this place for the first time, and the last time. The ambience decor was not impressive. I seen water damage on the ceiling panels , umbrellas hanging upside down, and a spotty decor. The server was friendly and took our orders right away and the wait time was reasonable. The food on the other hand was less to be desirable. My wife had the orange chicken bowl. The tast was off and did not taste like orange chicken we has in several other Asian restaurants before. I had the #1 that was chicken and pork with vegetables. I can tell by the gristle and the secondary quality of meat that it was not to our liking. After we got home with the food, we had 3-4 bites and tossed it. I am not sure how this establishment received so many high ranking comments, but I prefer quality over quantity. I got two chicken noodle bowls and the noodles were different they were not udon. Looked like a fettuccine noodle or something similar. The noodle was the best part for me. The skewers are different too, shrimps are tiny and there is a lot of batter. I wonder if it's changed ownership or something. Their imperial rolls used to be so good. You could tell they were fresh and I usually came here just for them. I haven't gone in a few years since I noticed their bowls weren't tasting the best. Today my fiancé wanted me to pick up Mountain Mikes next door and I thought imperial rolls sounded soo good... Let me start by saying... they close at 8 and it's rightfully deserved! This place is Theee only place I could ever trust eating at.. Not only is the place clean.. the service is amazing. My partner knows if I don't know what to eat he can always go to teriyaki house and grab my side of noodles with two chicken skewers. He grabs the chicken bowl.. our daughter (2yrs old) grabs a side of rice and her own skewer. I was craving my noods and it was around 745 we were already on the road and we called in my order... they not only took my order but also it was stilll fresh! When we got there at 756pm. The food is so flavorful, every single time! It hits the cravings right on the head and makes me beyond content with my choices. I could go on forever. It's so-so , ordered the orange chicken, rice was drenched in sauce and under cooked chicken. Egg-rolls were full of grease and cabbage, so yeah premium stuff I guess. Staff is okay, wish they didn't sweep the floor behind me while I'm eating. Wondering how clean this place actually is with all these flies buzzing around EDIT: I wanted to give this place a chance since it was just down the street, but I just can't see myself going back here again, I just hope I don't get sick or something because of that chicken and or MSG problems.
