a pizza on a pan

Decided to hit Delizia's for dinner on Friday (6pm). Our party of 6 was able to get seating by moving one table over. It was crowded. We ordered 3 entrees and 1 Extra Large Sausage Pizza. Entrees arrived one at a time (10 minutes apart) and the last entree was completely wrong and had to be remade. Our Pizza? 90 minutes until we saw the Pizza and our waitress did not seem concerned at all (until we asked) about the length of time our Pizza was taking. By the time our Pizza arrived, our friends have already eaten their entrees and had to sit and watch us eat the Pizza. They need to work on their Kitchen management as it seemed that the take-out orders had preference to those people eating in the restaurant. I will seriously think twice before returning there for Dinner.

Indoor counter... friendly and helpful staff.

Arrived 7:30 pm for a quick dinner. Slice of Buffalo chicken and a slice of mushroom. A&W root beer soda. Nice, clean, plenty of inside and outdoors seating.

This pizza place is located in the Raritan town Square mall. As you can see in the picture I ordered two slices of pie one mushroom and the other Pepperoni. The pizza is decent. They have indoor and outdoor dining. They have the usual appetizers, soups, salads pizzas and dinners including Panini's and hot or cold subs. There is a special lunch menu served between 11 AM to 3 PM. Look online for their menu. Their extra large pie is 18". And a plain is $13.5. The place could be a little cleaner and the staff could be a bit more friendly. Just my take.

Born and raised in New Jersey in my opinion this is the best slice you will get anywhere. The crisp crunch of the dough.. cheese bubbles at the top. Delizia!

plain and old fashioned tomato slice

Delizia Pizza Kitchen has delicious pizza. I decided to go with the old fashioned tomato pie slice and the plain. The tomato slice had a crisp base with a fluffy interior. I can't say enough great things about the sauce. The sauce was amazing, thick, rich, garlicky, and had tons of flavorful spices. The crust was crunchy and thick. Delicious. The plain had a thin, crispy base with greasy, delicious cheese. It was a bit light on the sauce, but packed a fluffy, flavorful crust. If I have the opportunity to, I'm coming back for more old fashioned tomato pie. -@BoroPizzaHunter on Instagram

Good pizza. Not drenched in sauce like other pizza places in town. Have not tried other items on the menu yet..

Good standard pizzas. Stuffed pizza had a ton of grease! Plain pie (Boring I know) is really good.

We…read morehave a couple of local "go to's" when it comes to Italian style food, but I don't know for certain how this place evaded us. The restaurant is tucked behind a Walgreen's and proximate to an urgent care on a side street off Rt 31, so that might explain it. We arrived for dinner on a random Thursday. The dining room is large, clean, bright, and had a lot of empty tables, but few patrons. They have a take-out business and it was sort of rainy outside, so that explained it in my head. The server came right away and took our beverage orders (it's a BYOB and I still can't get used to that concept). We ordered our meals after our drinks arrived. I like to keep it simple on a first visit. If you've seen my other reviews, it sorta makes sense. I got the linguine, with mushroom sauce and meatballs. It gives me a chance to see if the pasta is boxed or not, how fresh the ingredients are, the taste of the sauce, and if they can make a decent meatball. The linguine was made in the kitchen from scratch and the mushroom marinara was delicious. The meatballs are amongst the best I've had in the area, including two NYC Little Italys (Manhattan and Bronx). The salad was fresh and crisp and the bread came out warm and delicious. It's a bit of a drive from Clinton, but I am going to try their pizza at my next takeout opportunity.
