AGAIN.... I gave this place another shot. Silly for me thinking that things would actually change and the owner would be more customer service orientated but I was completely wrong. I ordered a pie for delivery at 6 o'clock. The person that took my order told me that they would be here in 45 minutes they were an hour and 15 minutes late from the original 45 minutes. And the best part is the pizza was stone cold! I really hope that people read these reviews because this person should really be put out of business since they are not customer focused. Every time I call there and ask where my Pizza is they always tell me that they're extremely busy well that's not my problem. Do not tell me 45 minutes and deliver it and hour and 15 minutes late. I don't give a damn how good the pizza is I would never go there and I would never recommend anyone to go there ever again! read more

On the one hand, the pizza was good. On the other hand, it took almost THREE HOURS to get to us. Ordered two pies at 6:30PM and was told they would arrive in 20-25min. Called back at 8PM to check on the status and was told that the delivery was on its way. At 8:45 we gave up and decided to find food elsewhere. Not wanting to be a total jerk about it, called again to tell them "never mind". The manager claimed that the order had never been placed or been lost. Ignoring the issue of the previous call where I was told that it was "on its way", just told him to forget it. He apologized and offered the pies for free, which we accepted. At 9:20 the pies finally arrived, but the delivery guy said he hadn't been told anything about them being free. Called the manager again to confirm, and he then claimed that he never said anything about free (which he certainly did), but would give us a discount. Being really hungry at that point, we agreed to pay for the pies. So after waiting three hours and being lied to twice, we threw out the menu. Will not be ordering from there again. read more

The person below me obviously didn't realize that Delizia is NOT a "sit down - and have waiters serve you" type of place. You order up at the counter and when it is done, they either call you over or bring it out to you. And such a fantastic restaurant should not be penalized because someone didn't understand how Delizia worked. Anyway, I have never had better pizza, subs, dinners, etc. in my entire life!! Ordered an Italian Hoagie twice. First time I gave them benefit of the doubt because they did not include all ingredients. However, the second time, they told me they do not include capicola which is a key ingredient. If you do not add capicola, do not call it an Italian sub. Apparently, when you order for delivery from Delizia Pizza in Flemington it doesn't have to be hot when it arrives. 15 minutes after our delivery time we get a call from the driver....he can't find our house...why...because he is two towns over. We call Delizia and tell them the driver can't find our house and how cold our food is going to be....he put us on hold - left the line open - and we can hear him answer several other calls....so we call on our cell phone - he said "he doesn't care if the food is cold or how long it's been" "if we do not pay for the cold food don't call back again"....Meanwhile some poor driver is frantic looking for our house. We would go there frequently and order many times since we moved here....And no one is getting my business when they feel they have so many customers that they can be so damn rude!!! And now 2 hours later, no food delivery, the delivery kid won't respond...we called ALFONZOs where they treat you with respect!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

Went in & ordered a large pie with mushrooms & peppers to eat in the restaurant. Courteous staff, the waitress was expedient at getting us a clean table in the busy restaurant... Alot of families were getting pasta dishes & seemed like repeat customers. The place was warm & nicely decorated for the holidays. Our pizza was brought to us in a timely manner. First slice was a little floppy & we had to cut it up to eat it. The rest of the pizza was better, crust was a little more cooked... While as a whole the pizza crust was not very thick (if you like dough, this is not your pizza) The mushrooms were fresh (+) and so were the peppers, pizza looked attractive, but just not alot of flavor. Maybe a little more sauce would've done the trick... just a little bland. There was a big selection of snapple, but the soda cooler was pretty empty... only 1 choice for a diet beverage which was from the fountain. Not sure if I would go back for pizza. I somewhat rate a Italian/pizza place on pretty much 2 things....a plain slice of pizza (dough and sauce) and a cheesesteak sandwich. I'm new to the area and I picked up a cheesesteak. I was excited since the shop had good ratings . Sandwich was disappointing. Flavorless meat and the cheese was probably a kraft single. The roll was eh. The meat will either make it or break it and tonight...my heart was broken. Hopefully their pizza isn't as disappointing. read more

bland very bland. the pizza just had ingredients stacked on top, never really cooked thus leaving the flavors to not blend. Very little taste to the pizza. I Had the works and a margarita. You could taste the garlic only on the margarita and as I said before the works was cold and not cooked through. Stuff stacked on a crust . It was like eating a raw pizza. Really bad. Oh I forgot this. They forgot the cheese. I told my wife this was the worse pizza I have had in jersey without a doubt. I am including Dominoes in here too. After living in Flemington for two years we came across this gem. The food took awhile to arrive, but tasted delicious. I am extremely picky with pizza and I have to say we will be getting our plain cheese pie from here from now on. We also tried their Italian hotdog and veal parm sandwich both were great. You make the decision for yourself, but don't order from here unless you like your food made by a first class bunghole! The pizza is pretty good, i have to admit that... it's also one of the only delivery places in town. However i had a really bad experience/interaction with the manager who runs the place. He was extremely rude and condescending to my wife. On a Friday night i ordered a pizza for my wife, son and I. Two hours passed before i called up and was told the pizza hadn't left yet (keep in mind my 3yr old sun should have gone to bed at 7:30pm, and the pizza came at 8:30 , which was 2.5hrs after i called). There was a little arguement as to why the pizza hadn't even left yet, and it ended in the manager telling my wife he would "comp" her a free pizza, and to ask for him by name the next time we ordered. Well, fast fwd, we called days later to get our free pizza, and the same manager remembered my wife, but renegged on his offer and was straight up rude and condescending to my wife. read more

The food is good the service is terrible. The owners have to go back to restaurant 101 and figure out how to get the process down for managing orders. They have 6 teenagers working there and very few actually doing anything. This results in long waits and frustration. Here's an example, we ordered three pizzas at 5;30, were told it would be 45 minutes, got there at 6:30 and they weren't made yet. This place is more like Delusional's! First off why do you even bother taking down peoples names when really its first come first serve when you arrive to pick up your pie! It was an hour wait for a plain pie last Friday and when I arrived it wasn't done and I was told 15 more minutes. Well long story short I waited another hour and didn't even get my garlic knots. The place needs a better system of tracking orders! There's a bunch of kids behind the counter playing on cell phones and clearly have no direction! Stay away unless you want to wait for hours upon end. By the way this wasn't the first time. We also feel meal quality has gone down in the past year. I will never eat at Delizia's again. I spent 65 dollars for the most oily, greasy pizzas I have ever eaten. The pizza was so doughy and undercooked I felt like I was eating from Pizza Hut. And we ordered fried calamari as an appetizer as well. This fried Calamari had to have been microwaved. It was disgusting, after one bite we immediately stopped eating it. We just recently discovered this place. My wife is Italian and makes her own pizza but we did not want to cook tonight. We got the Sicilian pie and fried calamari. My wife was very impressed with their sauce and the calamari was cooked perfectly. I hear that their specialty pizza is great so we cannot wait to go back there. The pizza is OK. I had the baked ziti and it was very bland. Just pasta and sauce with some cheese. It was never baked. the service was terrible. Ordered garlic bread with meal and never received any. Salad was received way after dinner. No silverware. Had to ask several times. Definitely would not recommend this place. read more

My husband and I ordered sausage and peppers and meatball parm. They came back to the table and told us they didn't have either. How does an italian restaurant run out of meatballs??? This is definitely one of the top pizza joint in New Jersey. Never thought a pizza joint next to Lowes would be such a find, this place is definitely a diamond in the rough! I've been stopping here a couple times of week. With the kids' busy schedule, we need to grab a quick slice or food to go. Good selection of made pizzas. Some of our favorites are the buffalo chicken ranch and pasta pizza. Love their Flemington salad and chicken parmesan. The owners/managers are very friendly and go out of their way to greet us. The young workers are not as attentive but the owners are always working hard behind the counter and doing their best to stay on top of everything. I've had some good table service and some not so good. The good food makes up for it. I just have to set my expectations lower on service when deciding to eat there. They are always busy, so plan ahead and call your order in if doing takeout. Often it takes longer than they tell you over the phone so i always get there 10 minutes later now and I'm happier for it. They have a nice open outdoor seating area during the warmer months. read more
