We also manage to have very pleasant conversations so the appointment is doubly enjoyable. I know she is one of the most popular employees there. She works very hard in a demanding profession. If I could give negative stars I would. Went today for my 10:00am appointment and they opened late. When I called to make my appointment with Lynn I spoke to an actual colorist on the phone and explained how my hair is a light pink/purple, and I wanted to switch over to sliver. She assured me over the phone that Lynn would be able to do it, so I went ahead and made my appointment. Well when I got there I was told by Lynn that she would not be able to do the sliver, was super rude and just didn't seem like she wanted to even attempt to do my hair. Never have I ever had this issue before. I am always changing my hair color and it's always been able to be done with zero issues. So needless to say I got up and left, I didn't want to waste almost $200 for nothing. She didn't even care or try to help me figure out something else we could do. And to be told over the phone that it could be done and not to worry after explaining everything in detail about my hair was super obnoxious. Again, super rude awful service. The worst ever service. I dont even remember the name of my stylist, she did not talk to me at all. I went for highlights and hair cut and style, My hair is really dark and i ask her for a highlights but no yellow, it was yellow at the end. Then, I said hair I want a diffrent hair style, she was in hurry so she did not do anything diffrent only cut a little bit of my hair, Her only words at the end was "I wont be able to blow dry your hai, sorry..... you shoulkd buy those shampoos,,,,do you wanna schedule next visit ...." ..... disaster read more

Unfortunately, I had an important work event & very little time to research & choose a salon to have my mid-length hair colored. I have naturally med brown hair w/ natural auburn highlights & some gray (mid-40s), & I went in w/ a request for a golden blonde complete coloring (the natural color of my hair when I was in my 20s & 30s). KAYLIN(sp) was assigned to me, & though she was polite, she wasn't friendly & didn't seem to listen to what I wanted. She brought a swatch of hair colors to choose from, & I picked a color closest to what I was looking for. She pointed to a reddish-blonde swatch multiple times & said that she thought that that color was pretty. I agreed, but told her it wouldn't work w/ my complexion & that I didn't want any red in my hair at all (I don't know how I could have been any more clear), & that I was concerned the color would turn out brassy. I again pointed to the swatch closest to what I wanted, but I'm certain she chose the brassy reddish-blonde she liked b/c that's exactly how my hair turned out & I hate it! After she colored my hair, she rinsed the color out but didn't use any conditioner (so my once very soft hair was coarse & unmanageable for the first week after), & she didn't blow dry it well (so I left w/ my hair still soaking wet), even though I asked her to dry it completely b/c I had multiple errands to run before my flight. Even so, I could tell the color was going to be the brassy reddish-blonde I told her I did NOT want, & I said I didn't like the color. She insisted the red would tone down after a few days, but I knew it wouldn't. And it hasn't. I had to fly down to Washington that night for a work event & didn't have time to go somewhere else & fix it: sadly, the brassiness did not go unnoticed. (It literally looks like I tried to color my hair at home from a box & did a poor job of it.) I then flew back the next morning & immediately went back into the salon to have the color corrected. KAYLIN was reluctant to take me then, telling me she'd have to schedule an appt for me "next week" (she even complained that she expected me to be back), but finally agreed to take me after another girl told her she'd take the one appt KAYLIN had scheduled that morning (there was literally ONE other customer in the salon that morning while I was there). KAYLIN said she'd "tone down" the color. But, whatever she used, it made the color worse -- more brassy & more reddish. After her second attempt to "tone down" the red, it was obvious she either didn't know what she was doing or didn't want to do what the customer wanted, so I told her it was fine & left. (Both girls repeatedly told me they thought the color was pretty. And while that may be true on someone else, it looks terrible on me.) I've been vigorously washing my hair every day for the last two weeks, & the color has NOT toned down, NOT turned golden, & remains this brassy reddish-blonde color that clashes w/ my complexion and washes out my green eyes. It's very unflattering, & has been negatively remarked upon by my colleagues, family, & friends. I'm very disappointed w/ the service at DELLARIA SALON, and definitely do NOT recommend them for even the most basic services & I certainly won't be back. They are not customer friendly, & don't seem to be interested in what the customer wants; only in getting the customer's $$$. It's been two weeks since it was colored & I have an appt tomorrow at a different salon to see if they can fix the color w/o damaging my hair as it has just started to feel soft again. I felt really weird going to a chain-salon, but a friend recommended this place and since I didn't have a ton of time between leaving work in Framingham and meeting with some friends, I didn't want to wander all over an area I don't really know looking for some other place. So I went here and Lana cut my hair. She did a great job and styled it beautifully! She gave me coupons on the way out for if I go back. Definitely an incentive, though its location in the mall is kind of a turn-off. read more

I have to say that the front desk staff were amazing. I really needed help with my hair after a stylist at another place botched it. I requested a Master stylist thinking that it woud be best. NOPE. I got an egotistical woman who keep telling me how fabulous her own hair was. And I asked for pointers on styling my type of hair...she didnt show me anything and then without asking blew it out straight. I looked worse than when I came in. Now I have to find someone to fix this mess. Customer service from this stylist...it doesnt exist. read more

I highly recommend Ana. I wish she did perms too! She is an amazing hairstylist- always able to do exactly what I want and is also the nicest person! I have been going to her for 3 years and am willing to drive a good distance to continue to go to her for my cuts (we used to live in Natick but have since moved). I have very straight hair, so the cut really matters/needs to be perfect and cannot be uneven in any way. She does easier styles (e.g. long trim with layers) as well as more edgy styles (strong angle/bob) perfectly! If I bring in a photo, she can match it with ease. She also remembers me, even though I only come in 2x year, and is a wonderful conversationalist, keeping the chatter going and making me feel at ease when I am nervous about getting a new cut. I would highly recommend asking for Ana for any hair cut style! read more

I went in going to get my hair foiled and possibly cut. They gave me their master hair colorist, Vanessa. Although she was nice, I told her I wanted my hair foiled and to stay the blonde I had. She barely looked at my hair and said "I'll go mix the color and be right back" she was extremely confident of what I wanted when she barely spent time with me prior. The store was noisy, she colored my hair fast and after, I waited in the "back room" for a good hour while Vanessa was with another lady. When my hair was being shampooed and and conditioned, literally felt like my hair was getting ripped from my scalp (newbie girl, not my hairdresser) and when all product was out, my hair looked darker than usual. I asked for her to cut my hair, which she did and she asked if I wanted it blow dried... of course I do?? My hair was definitely not the blonde I asked for and Vanessa was extremely confident "that this would look the best". I wanted my bright blonde, not this sandy blonde. My bill was $220 without tip! (extremely ridiculous because they charge you to blow dry it too??) 2 stars because my hair isn't horrible, just not what I asked...at all. Way too expensive, way too uncomfortable, and the staff is not so friendly. Will not be going back, especially on that price. read more

Literally, just had the worst haircut of my life yesterday at Dellaria Spa in Natick Mall...I am still in tears. I've lived in the Boston area for the past 8 years, and have been bouncing around to different salons, I have long straight hair and usually get a pretty good haircut wherever I go, since I usually just ask for a trim and some shape in the front. Was heading to Natick Mall and figured I'd stop in, since all I needed was a few inches cleaned up and am very easy going and comfortable with when it comes to seeing different stylists. I was assigned to Maranda, who absolutely insisted that I have wavy hair and should try and wear it that way, when I specifically told her I wear my hair straight and just wanted so long layers in the front to give the cut some shape. She started chopping away at my hair, cutting off more inches than I asked, and never once did she use texturizing scissors or see if the layers matched on each side. Before I could even ask her to blow it dry, she started putting in curl defining cream and then took out the defuser to "magically" make my "so-called" waves appear. I left the salon looking like I just put my finger in a wall socket and couldn't tell if the cut was want I wanted since she styled it in such a way, I didn't even look like myself. Once arriving home, I tried using a brush and blow dryer to straighten out my hair and see the actual length and layers. NONE of the layers matched on each side, and my new cut is far from symmetrical. I tried putting my hair in a pony tail, and my Mom had to cut off random pieces that were sticking out, that she didn't even touch! I am so upset and will NEVER go to a salon in a mall, ever, ever again. 50% my fault that I thought walking in to a "salon & spa" in a mall was a good idea. I am so frustrated and have made plans to go to a salon in the city to see if they can fix her mess. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME- you get what you pay for. read more

I had gone to this location few times. Mixed experience every time. Completely unhappy with the recent trip. Every stylist does layer different way. It is hard to know who will do the justice to your hair. People really don't know how to handle thick long hair. They only know how to thin it out. With my recent cut and layer it will take me a good whole year to grow my hair or may be more. I will have to think twice going back there. read more

Went to Guido to dye my hair black. He promised me the current red would not show thru because the black was permanent and wouldn't wash out. It washed out literally on the first wash. Had to go all the way back for a "re-do" at "no charge". When I did, he had no idea who I was or what color to use, even though it had only been a couple of weeks since I was last there. Clearly nobody in admin filled him in. While he was dying my hair again, he let a huge chunk fly onto my forehead and into my eye. Got a dye stain on my forehead and my eye was watery for the rest of the appointment. He handed me what I thought was a clean towel to get the stains off of my skin, and I ended up with black dye all my hands (which haven't come off even though he said I'd just have to wash it with soap). The wet rubber piece of the shampoo sink fell off and got my back all wet. But the icing on the cake was that he refused to fully dry and style my hair, so I was sent into a blizzard with wet, frizzy hair. So much for a "re-do". Never going back there again. read more

A little over a week ago I went to this "salon" as a last resort. I had dyed my hair at home the night before and the color came out more of an ash blonde rather than the golden blonde look I was after. So I decided to go to Dellaria's to have some gold put in. The woman I saw was name Jackie/Jacklyn F. She assured me that she could fix my hair. She started by putting a toner in my hair. This did not work and turned my hair a very pale purplish-gray. She then added color and and rinsed my hair out and it was still gray. So she tried another toner, and this time my hair literally was purple, no exaggeration. She kept commenting on how bad box dye is for hair and practically telling me that it was my fault that my hair was turning purple. Mind you I have been using box dye for years and never had a problem and I take very good care of my hair. I ended up having to have my hair dyed brown to cover the purple and now a week and a half later my ends are still kind of ashy looking while the roots are brown. After talking to a few hair stylist friends of mine, as well as going to another salon for a consult, I found out that the woman at Dellaria's was adding more ash color to my hair rather than the gold that I had asked her to add. She continuously kept dying my hair ash and the result was purple. I feel that Jackie at Dellaria's had no idea what she was doing and didn't even care about what I asked for. I am so upset about the service I received from this salon. Not to mention I also had to pay $125 for her mistakes. Oh and some guy who worked there also kept telling my sisters (who came to the salon for emotional support) how hot and sexy I was and that it was upsetting him to see me upset. Talk about uncomfortable, creepy and unprofessional. Please avoid this place at all costs and go to a salon who cares about what you want. I honestly would give them no stars if that were an option. read more

I was a frequent customer of Dellaria in Natick, but as of this past weekend I am not. I will not mention the name of my former master stylist, but he really dissapointed me. I went home after the cut and as I examined the cut, I noticed one side was shorter and more layered than the other. I called the next day and he saw me again. I pointed out the flaws two different ways and he refused to accept there was anything wrong. I pulled both sides of the hair and showed how clearly one side was longer than the other measured against my chin, but it was clear that he did not want to admit to have erred. Perhaps pride and arrogance got in the way. Had the treatment been better and if he had been willing to see the problem and fix it, I would continue to be his customer and would not be writing this review. I walked away dissapointed that I shelled out $55+ for a bad cut and now will have to spend more to have a real professional fix it. Hope this helps other customers. read more
