Stopped here for dinner with two little kids as the reviews were mostly 5star. We had 2 pizzas and a salad, I asked for the first pizza to be a kids pizza. The next lady asked my husband what toppings to put on it, because I was the one who ordered it, he didn't know that the kids didn't come with toppings, so he put sausage on just half. She should have reminded him it was a kids and no toppings were included. When it came time to pay, the cashier kept trying to charge me for 3 pizza's instead of one kids and one regular. When I said I ordered a kids, she said kids doesn't come with toppings and your husband added sausage, so she had to charge me the full price. For a place who seems extremely concerned with reviews, they should have realized it was a misunderstanding and charged us for a kids pizza. Definitely not very friendly. And not a fan of the tip option and a order at the counter place. It's awkward. I would have looked past that if the pizza was good... it was just OK and I thought underdone. I should have said well done, I like my cheese a little browned, not all white. I also thought the pizza really lacked flavor... no pizza seasoning was used. I tried the ranch and poblano ranch on the side... save your calories. Neither were good. The poblano ranch just tasted like ranch with lots of cumin. Because we were sharing I asked for plates, the girl at the oven said they didn't have any when they were busy and to use a togo container ripped in half, that seemed wasteful and the place wasn't even busy. Overall I was hungry so we ate it all... the salad I made was good, but again Italian dressing lacked flavor. Gave 3 star because I can see potential and it was pretty quick. My family and I love the concept, the space, and the food at Pizza Lab! In a nutshell, you walk down the line, choosing ingredients for your salad or pizza and supervising the construction of your food. Want a little more or less of a topping, just let them know! Lots of fresh sauces, toppings and drizzles to choose from. On our first visit we got two personal pizzas and an entree salad, all were very good! Love the crust, very similar to an east coast style, and the spicy marinara sauce is delicious! Save room for dessert too! While all options looked good, we all went with the cannolis. As a transplant from the east coast raised on cannolis from Termini Brothers in Reading Terminal Market and South Philly, I can say their cannolis are legit, worthy of inspiring the phrase "Leave the gun, take the cannolis!" This is a wonderful new dining option in The Dells. As a local, I applaud their decision to open just outside of the downtown area. Ample free parking will please locals and tourists alike. Hopefully the folks making decisions about downtown Dells parking will one day realize that extending the parking fee season and doubling short term rates as they did this year will only hurt downtown businesses and discourage locals from spending time and money downtown. read more

I cannot begin to describe how impressed I was with my experience at Pizza Lab! Upon entering we were greeted with warm hospitality. The staff was so friendly and fun to be the around the whole time. For $8 we were able to create our own pizza creations. The size of the pizza could have easily fed two people, so the price was great. Many places in the Dells are far over priced but I would say Pizza Lab was actually underpriced for the quality of food and service we received! Our food was done in about 10 minutes, and the pizza was so delicious! I will definitely be stoping back the next time I'm in the Dells! read more

Absolutely excellent! The Rockin' Chicken and Waffles was well worth the $20 price tag. It came with the most sweet but simple drizzle atop the chicken, mashed potatoes and waffles. Underneath the mashed potatoes were freshly grilled vegetables that added a fantastic touch to this unique meal. A+ and my taste buds and full tummy thank you. read more

Perfect crust...and let's just admit that is 75% of pizza because toppings are toppings. I got the pesto sauce and it was amazing. Fresh basil and cilantro were a nice touch and the fact that it isn't a chain adds the final .5 star for a perfect 5 star. They even played along when we gave them fake names for our pizza (Anakin, Kylo, Scoots) all of which were spelled wrong but written with a smile. Check this joint out. read more

Wow was this pizza amazing. My husband and I shared a pizza and it was so good we got another one to go. All the ingredients are so fresh and so yummy plus unlimited toppings. Everyone was so friendly and so helpful. They recognized it was our first time there and offered to help us and weren't annoyed with us taking a little extra time. What a great place. They get two stars only because it was fun for my boys. However, the way my wife was treated they deserve negative stars! My wife is from a small rural town, love her to death for this trait! When it came time to pay, she did not leave a tip because well we don't tip our lovely sandwich artists at subway do we? Essentially this is all they did for us. The girl working the register saw the receipt and we watched her turn to her coworker and say "we got noped" which to us meant she was unhappy we didn't tip. Mind you I did put cash in the tip jar. We sat down, talked about it and realized this girl needed to know she can't treat customers like this. When I approached her and talked about this situation, she denied every bit. Why deny so much if you didn't do it??? Then proceeded to talk about us to more coworkers as we watched them. Honey, we know what you did and we will never be back. read more

Staff was great and friendly. Pizza was yummy, I liked the crust; not too thin and not too thick. I was hoping for arugula to put on my pizza but alas I had to settle for a handful of spinach that the manager was very accommodating with because I asked for it on my pizza after it came out of the oven. This was a delicious find, thanks to Yelp! My party split two pizzas and some side salads. The cheese mix with the mozzarella and provolone was really yummy and I definitely noticed the difference between the mix and just the mozzarella. The mushrooms on the pizza were real and not canned, which is always a plus. The sausage was really nice, with a perfect level of spice. It was tangy and had a bit of a bite but was not overpowered with an anise flavor. The side salads were iceberg lettuce with some cut up cucumbers and tomatoes. The dressing was delicious but I would have loved a wider variety of greens, perhaps some spinach and spring mix, as the salad wasn't anything special. The only real con I noticed was the lack of seating, as the place is pretty small. We were lucky to get a high top table but that was barely enough room for us to eat. It was quite busy when we were there and definitely not enough seats for everyone. Will definitely go again next time I visit the Dells! read more

I am a picky pizza consumer, so I was again skeptical of trying yet another pizza. This joint is run like a Subway in that the customer goes down the line and tells the employee what to put on the pizza including the type of sauce. All pizzas are personal size and are generous. I have concluded that this pie gets an A for flavor, the crust was perfect; not too crispy and slightly chewy. The spicy sauce I selected had just the right amount of kick to it. The fuit tea was AWESOME, Customer service was good until toward the end of out experience, my husband noted the employee who was doing the slicing of the pizza was picking her teeth with her finger. In all fairness she was wearing gloves when handling the food, but still was gross. The restaurant floor was very dirty and sticky. I thought maybe something was spilled next to out table, but it seemed to be sticky all over, not a huge deal but still concerning because makes me wonder how clean it is when preparing the food?? read more

I've eaten at many build your own pizza places. I love the genre and this place beat them all. The cheese was so good I think that's what makes these pizzas so tasty. I added some garlic butter at the end omfg. Very impressed wish I found this place sooner. It's reasonably priced and quality is great. Also the size of the pies are much bigger than the other build your own pizza places I've been to. We took the pizza to go and you could smell how good it was gonna be through the box I'm not kidding. read more

Great pizza. Very tasty. I only gave it 4 stars because of our service tonight. As a build your own pizza place, they kept going ahead of us and adding stuff we didn't ask for. We were confused why they were getting annoyed at us when we asked for a kids cheese pizza and instead of asking what kinds of cheese they started adding them all. I would give them a second chance because the pizza is delicious and there are so many great toppings to choose from. Just hope they slow down and focus on getting it right next time. read more
