My husband and I stopped into Pizza Lab last evening (7/5) at around 7:30 with like 3 people ahead of us in line. The gentleman in front of us ordered 8 pizzas and the staff also had 3 online orders of 6,7, and 9 pizzas each. The employee told us she would make the gentleman's 8 and then would have to do the online orders and then would be able to make our pizza and it may be 20-30 minutes. We chose to wait because we were looking forward to Pizza Lab, we usually visit at least once a week!! We just wanted to let you know that the staff working on Sunday evening knocked it out of the park with getting the larger orders completed and taking care of the line backed up to the door! We were sure to give them kudos before we left, but wanted to make sure you were aware of what a rockstar crew you have! pizza was delicious as always!! read more

We loved our custom made pizzas here. The cauliflower crust was very good-indistinguishable from my standard flour dough crust. The toppings were fresh and the spicy red sauce was flavorful without being overly hot. The pizza came up quickly and the service was friendly. The price was right, Bob. This is a pretty good place. To call it the Subway of Pizza would be an insult to them but that is exactly what it is. You walk in and you get to pick between a pizza or a salad. Then you pick your multiple sauces and multiple cheese. Plenty of meat choices and a lot of veggies. Pizza comes out fairly quick and you get to pick a sauce topping. In the cheesy, over the top, tourist trap of the Wisconsin Dells lives a small pizza kitchen that learned a thing or two from Subway. Throw away your menus and sit down expectations, this place lets you choose as whatever whim takes you over. For the same price regardless of toppings you are directed down the pizza building lane and asked what of all the fresh ingredients you would like on the dough which has been pressed right in front of you. The possibilities are endless. While the pizzas are not piled high with whatever you direct them to add, the end result of your Mad Scientist pizza experiment will be flavorful and end with a final sauce drizzle of your choice. You can also have a gluten free option by turning it into a salad instead, or opt for non dairy cheese if lactose is an issue. Someone has finally combined fast food and pizza in a way that make it accessible and reasonable for a slightly pricier lunch. Don't expect huge selections or anything other than a cheese pizza for a kids' option, but what they are doing they do well. The wife and I decided we wanted pizza tonight, so we decided to try the pizza lab. It's build your own pizza. We both got our own personal pizzas, and from the crust up we built our own. It was something like $9.50 a pizza, and they tell you if something you want will cost extra (such as gluten free crust or fresh mozzarella.) I picked my own sauce, cheese, meats, vegetables, and had I wanted it I could have put a sauce drizzle on it. When it's done they call you by name to get your pizza and off you go. The pizzas were great. Took the rest home (just had to ask for a box. Simple.) They have a *free* rewards program where every tenth pizza is free and all you have to do is give a phone number and your name to enroll. We'll be back. read more

Pizza Lab is a personalized pizza place very similar to Pizza Rev or Mod Pizza. You choose as many toppings as you want, like you do at Subway. It was good, but not as flavorful as I would have hoped. It only comes in an 11" size, which was more than I wanted. And the crust also was thicker than I prefer. It wasn't bad, but I like Mod Pizza better. read more

We had great experience here. The pizzas were really tasty and the crust was a good texture. The employees were nice and involved with helping us customize our pizzas. This is the only pizza place I've been to like this where there are all sorts of ingredients in front of you to customize your order. The place was clean, the pizzas were quick, and it was reasonably priced for the amount that you get. We paid 20$ for two pizzas that filled my wife, children and I up. Eat here! We had a group of 8, and 1 is vegan, another is dairy free, 2 are under 13. Needless to say, we often struggle to find a place that makes everyone really happy. This place did it. They have pizzas and salad, and it's up to you to put on it what you want. Everyone was very happy with the selection and amount of food we received. They have one size, which could be an issue if you have smaller portion eating people, but we did not. Thin and crispy 11 inch crust. They were also helpful in explaining the whole process to us, as it was new to us. Thank you to the staff for all your help. We would definitely eat here again if we are in the are. read more

This is a really fun idea for a pizza place and offers something different in the Dells. I visited with my husband and three-year-old. I loved that we could choose any toppings we wanted and our pizza was ready in minutes. The pizza was good, but not great. The crust didn't get that crispy/chewy combo and the cheese was melted, but not bubbly. Not the end of the world, but these are items that may cause me to choose a more traditional pizza place where the prices are similar, but the pizza quality is better. The other thing I wasn't really excited about is that there's not a kids menu. They offer something called the "Junior Scientist" which is an 11" pizza just like the regular pizzas, but with only 1 topping. I'd prefer a smaller crust and more toppings, and it would be great if there were some healthy kids beverage options. The service was fantastic when we visited. We enjoyed our meal and all took home leftovers which were yummy cold the next day. read more

I enjoyed my experience at Dells Pizza Lab. I'm not going to lie, all I wanted was a vegan-friendly option in the Dells so I was beyond thrilled that I found this place. They offer vegan cheese which is a must for a pizza place for my family. That being said, they charge an extra $2 for vegan cheese which is ridiculous given that you are omitting the cow cheese. I would never accept something like this in Chicago where there are options but in the Dells... beggars can't be choosers! We love Blaze Pizza and this place is very similar. However, unlike Blaze, Dells Pizza Lab has a build-your-own salad option which I loved. They also had some nice local beers on tap. Definitely appreciated that. We wanted a reasonably quick bite for lunch and hadn't been to a build-your-own-pizza spot in a long time, so thought we'd give this a whirl. I'm glad we did! We thought we'd have to list off all the ingredients we wanted from the get-go, but the girl who started us off said they do it Subway-style so that you say what you want as you go down the line. I'm sure she's had to explain it a million times but she didn't seem the least bit annoyed at having to tell yet another couple of tourists what to do. Something that I thought was notable - you're not forced into picking one topping and then having to pay for more. Even for cheese, you can do more than one! I was expecting my mozzarella-cheddar combo to be a limited amount of each, but they loaded it up realllll good. Our pizzas were also ready sooner than I expected. They can do some fast baking. The pizza was hot enough to have the cheese nice and melted, but not so hot that you'd get a third-degree burn if you waited less than ten minutes to take a bite. Oh, and get the garlic butter drizzle on top of your pizza when you pick it up. You will not regret that decision. read more

The pizza and salad were good enough but here are a few things. The price is pretty high. Gluten free crust cost $3 extra. That alone is ridiculous. But mozzarella cheese is extra. In a pizza? That is also ridiculous. (For those who never eat pizza, pizzas traditionally have mozzarella cheese.) So I piled on the toppings because that is the idea at the Lab. The pizza came out hot on top, but only slightly warm on the bottom. It was not crispy and the cheese was not starting to get brown, as in good pizza. I think it was not cooked long enough. The two young people who work there don't know why we were disappointed. They only work there. We won't be back. read more

This was an absolutely delightful restaurant! The prices are fair in comparison to other nearby eateries, and you can add as many toppings as you would like! There were lots of choices in toppings and sauce, as well as finishing drizzles that added extra flavor. If you have a kid who likes cheese-only, there is a less expensive cheese option that still gets choice of sauce, type of cheese, and drizzle. Each 11" pizza was enough for one super hungry adult or 2 adults otherwise. The staff were all friendly and had great suggestions for toppings. This place is so much like MOD Pizza but i like this one better. You pick you base and then add everything you want for one price. I would give one extra star over mod pizza because of their crust . They have a pretty thick crust compared to the flat discs at mod pizza. Both tastes good but this place is better for people who are not a fan of thin crust pizza. Mind you we arrived 10 min before closing time and still we are welcomed with a pleasant smile !! Love the Pizza !!! A must try food location if you are in dells. read more

After reading the other reviews I was excited to try this place out but we were rather disappointed. If you have a group of people who can't agree on a pizza this is the place I guess. But the meat (pepperoni and sausage) had little flavor and there was an excess amount of cheese.
