Paid 125.00 for my deductible for my kitchen sink that was leaking. the gentleman said that I had wear and tear on the sink....and that it needed to be replaced in order to fix the leak. Bought a new 300 sink and had it professionally installed. Called the company back to put the sink in and he said it would be another 200 due to the drain being different from the first original sink. Left without putting my pipes back in or drain line . PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I wish I would have seen the reviews before I paid my money. This company was assigned to me by my warranty company so I trusted their judgement. The owner came out to complete a service for my water heater. He told me the services were not covered to fix my water heater, but it could be replaced under warranty with the service fee. He assured me that all he had to do was order the hot water heater and he would come back by Friday to install it. I called Delmar Construction to follow up the next day and was told the hot water heater was not covered. However, I had already paid the service fee. read more

Only had to replace a dripping hot water heater valve and knew that before coming to the house. We rearranged our day to be there at a time convenient for them and they forgot to bring the part and never contacted us to reschedule. When you hire a professional contractor, make sure this contractor is qualified to do the job and that he is not "farming" the work out and taking a cut of the sale. My experience with this company was less than satisfactory. 45 minutes late past his 3 hour service window...no call concerning lateness- not happy about this. After his diagnosis of the plumbing issue, he stated very easy and quick fix, I will be back in a couple of days. One week later, he calls me for an appointment...I take another day off from work, he shows up, not prepared to do the job...determines that it was more involved than he wanted so he contacted my warranty company to state that it was a leak in the roof (I was in the attic with him to verify that it was not a roof leak and he agreed at that moment). He cut holes in my ceiling and left the debris behind, basically telling me that I would have to find someone to look at it. My thoughts- Collects $100 service call fee, doesn't fix the problem, leaves a mess in my house, I lost 2 days of work to no avail...What kind of Business is this??? Buyer Beware !!! read more

I have a home warranty. One company came out and diagnosed but could not repair as they had not insurance for working in condo apparently. So the warranty company sent this Delmar guy the job... He was supposed to be out a week ago to replace a garbage disposal. After multiple "No Shows" and constant excuses (or lies) as to why he did not keep an appointment or could not be reached, he finally kicked the service order back to AHS. The problem was already diagnosed and it appears to me that they were only looking to collect the service fee and not do any real work. Of course, I had rearranged two days of work and doctor appointments. Delmar is very unprofessional at a minimum and totally unreliable. But you can easily see that there is a pattern with the other reviews... Steer well clear of this "supposed plumber." I am reporting all of it back to the warranty company and BBB. read more

The worst customer service that I have ever experienced with vendor. I myself am a small business owner and value my customer interactions, but obviously this company does not. After scheduling 3 separate appointments and giving him the benefit of the doubt, I received 3 no show, no call. I would stay away from this company. His first excuse for a no show was that his driver left the paperwork at the office, but you would think that they would call the client to let them know as opposed to having the client sit at home all day awaiting his arrival. The 2nd no show, I never did receive a reason. I called to complain and they just simply scheduled a 3rd trip. The 3rd trip was scheduled for between 10am and 12 noon. At 12:05, I received a text (not a phone call) stating "not going to make it, got an emergency sorry". If you value your time, stay away from this circus act. read more

Stay as far away from these crooks as you can. My warranty company sent them out for a second opinion on a stoppage issue. The owner Delmar himself came out. He was supposed to hydrojet the line which he appeared not to do and told the company there were roots in a pipe. The pipe and the roots didn't exist but he told the warranty company that to insure that the repair wouldn't be covered and then told me the repair would be $6,500! I told him I needed a written proposal to show hubby. He said he would send it that evening but he never did. He did text me two more times to ask when we were ready to do the repair (he was anxious to scam me out of my money) but still would not sent the proposal as he knew it was BS & the pipe he claimed ran along the side of my house and thru the backyard didn't even exist. He didn't want me to have proof of his lie. I texted and called but of course he never called back since he realized he didn't have a sucker. I found another amazingly honest and professional company (Arrowhead Plumbing) that came and repaired the actual pipe that was in front of house AND installed an extra cleanout for $4,000 LESS than the con man Delmar demanded. The pipe was within the foundation wall and should have been covered by my warranty company. Now I have the burden of trying to get American Home Shield to refund the money we paid out of pocket for a repair that should have been covered. Unless you enjoy being parted from your money, DO NOT USE DELMAR CONSTRUCTION for plumbing or anything else. I'm telling everyone I know to do the same. read more
