Yelp told me that my review was removed. Someone is always complaining, yet, my reviews are always honest and accurate, so any claim otherwise is false. Problem is, after 1000 reviews, it's not also easy to recall an experience, but this is what I recall about this place. The service wasn't friendly. Although I wouldn't go as far to call it rude, but the guy did act like our business was interrupting him. They had a homemade salsa that was better than anything you would buy in a retail store. They also sold something I can recall the name of, but it was chicken fat and my dog loved it I put it in a pot with water and simmered it into a broth and she was in doggy heaven. I also bought a pack of hot links that were probably closer to a spicy chorizo than traditional hot link. Since the business appeared to my Mexican/Latino, that just makes sense. Ive been back to Olympia and honestly regretted forgetting about this place, because my dog really loved the chicken fat and I haven't seen anyone local to me that sells it. Pricing here was also fair. Nothing was cheap, but nothing was overprice either. Short of the sour attitude, it would have been a win, 4 star for sure. read more

Best selection in town! They're new, but we hope they're around for many years to come. This place has absolutely everything - if you don't see it, ask! The owner is super knowledgeable and helpful. We picked up a 16lb brisket to smoke for a BBQ and the quality was incredible. It fell apart on our plates, no knives necessary. Our guests were pleased. Beyond the huge selection of meats and cuts, they also serve as a mini Mexican grocery. You can pick up much of what you'd need to go with your meat right in the store - seasonings, produce, etc. They have homemade guacamole and pico de gallo, plus drinks such as beers, cider, and non-alcoholic options like horchata and sodas. Gone in a couple times to get some standard cuts of meat. From the customer service to the quality of the meat, to the cleanliness of the store, I am impressed every time. Please support your local butchers! These are people with a true skill which we should support. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. They've got some amazing cuts for people but they also have raw dog food which Stuart's meats offers but only in their Yelm location. I'm planning to get a meat locker from Cutz. If you're looking to support local business AND buy reasonably price, good quality meat, this is your place. Way better than Delmonico in price and better quality than Stuart's AND better selection than Western Meats. Swung in today (5/11/23) and bought a Porterhouse. Staff was friendly, shop was clean and the meat looked absolutely phenomenal. I messed up and cooked the steak to a medium...still delicious. They offered me a seasoning in-house when it was wrapped...it's absolutely delicious. Will be back soon!! read more

I have been in here at least 5 x now and bought over 250.00 in meat for myself over a month of time. They still ask, if its my first time in and every few minutes another person comes from the back and asks. Can I help you? and its another story about nothing from them. I look at the meat and pick and chose what I want. I dont trust them to do anything other then grab the closet one to them on the tray. p I go to other markets, stores and places in the area and at least they recognize I am a repeat customer after 2-3 times. This place, that concept is lost on them. I live in the neighborhood and I am the customer base they want to shop there. Meat is fine, prices are high but, inline with the neighborhood sources. Chicken is just regular southern cheap chicken, prices at other stores is better for the same stuff. They have Waygu A5 quality, but over the last 5 weeks it appears to be the same stuff on the tray. I do not care if its 99.00 a LB, I buy it at costco for that price. I was excited to see that quality in the shop. I buy good quality beef on a regular basis. Everything is cut extra thick and the steaks have been good. But the lack of any sincere appreciation of my business is hard to overlook. They are part of a big family it seems I am patient and hope they make it, it is a retail shop that relies on their commercial accounts to keep them in biz, it seems. Hope it works out for them. Many people in the neighborhood were excited to see them open. read more
