My husband and I stopped at this winery last week and were pleasantly surprised. Even though our arrival time was later in the day and within 30 minutes of closing time, we were warmly greeted by the tasting room staff. We tried a number of the wines which were all delicious. I especially like Zinfandel and was very pleased with their selections. Discovered that this winery is one of ten wineries in a group with the same owner and that you have member benefits at all their wineries (including access to lodging at some of the wineries) so we decided to become wine club members. We even ended up staying at the nearby guest lodging! Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable, especially Mona, Sally and Rebecca. Decided to drop in since I'm a Mazzocco club member & have privileges here. Turned out to be a fantastic decision! Departed with a mixed case. Enjoyed the Mosaic Red Meritage - despite being cab based it didn't have too much oak or tannins. I couldn't resist the Lace dessert wine - OMG it's too yummy & the perfect ending to any meal. The big surprise was the Sauvignon Blanc. I rarely drink/buy white wine (unless it's for dessert) but I was drawn in by the clean, crisp fruity flavor. read more

I had the privilege of having a lovely lunch and wine here over the Spring months (and am just now getting around to writing a review - finally). This little gem of a winery is completely tucked away in the hillside. The ambiance and environment were both absolutely stunning and perfect both inside and outside of the winery. The staff were all extremely knowledgeable and friendly, even striking up conversations that were genuine. I absolutely enjoyed my afternoon here, along with the delicious wine as well! Beautiful winery along 128 coming from Sonoma if you're heading to Napa. If you like young wines not aged heavily this is the place for you. I felt wines needed a bit more time in barrels. The 2013 Mosaic Heritage was their feature wine and was decent but mispriced in my opinion given comparables. It did have a lasting dry finish but not as approachable as I'd like. Great service and beautiful winery. They offer a 3 bedroom stay or California King room. Try it for yourself as another couple seemed to enjoy the wines and was buying a case. read more

A friend of mine belongs here so we went with her when she had to pick up her wines for a tasting. Michael who helped us was very nice and let us taste almost any one that we wanted to try. Sadly it was his last day working here. I really appreciate that we were able to try what we wanted because I hate when I can't taste one that looks like one I might want to buy. Sally was our hostess for the wine tasting. She was very friendly and funny. She offered tastings from any of the 20 bottles that were open. It is a little staggering when there are eight Cabernet Sauvignons from which to choose. Purchased Ramazzotti Vineyards 2012 Cab Franc and the Warm Springs Ranch 2011 Cabernet Sauv. Price points on these two were very good for the quality. Would recommend a visit if you happen to be on your way to Napa from Geyserville or vice versa. read more

Such great wine and such amazing/friendly service that we joined the wine club right there on the spot on our first visit. Nicely isolated winery, minimal traffic in Alexander Valley as compared to Sonoma or Napa. Every single wine we tasted was generously poured and was uniquely excellent in their own way. The fee was only $5 and they allowed us to tasted every wine option available. I will be back for sure to bring my friends and enjoy another visit with on the lovely grounds with some great folks. When joining the club you do join up to the Wilson Group which owns 8 local wineries. Many of them have fun events and lodging options for a discount once you are in the club. There are lots of choices and all the tastings at every winery in the group are now free for my hubby and me plus two guests. What a lovely surprise on a warm, sunny Saturday afternoon. We stopped here with no intention other than a short pit stop on our way to wherever, and ended up staying for hours sipping the most wonderful reds of our entire trip to wine country. The views of the lush, green vines in the hills made a perfect backdrop for the great Blues band that was playing that day. The rear patio area is well thought out with a nice mix of comfortable furniture including tables with umbrellas to shade you from the hot summer sun, overstuffed chairs and soft green grass where you can run around barefoot while playing a game of croquet. The service was top-shelf because it was given by people who were there because they wanted to be. Make sure you make this one of your stops on your way up North and be prepared to spend a little time. You won't want to leave. Live music every Saturday through September. read more

This winery is a great place to stop when you are in the Healdsburg/Dry Creek area. They have a ton of different wines and the staff are super friendly. The wine is usually very good and if you hit it at the right time there are usually some great values to be had. First of all the Alexander, Russian River Valley wines are fantastic and being our first stop in the region, my wife and I were pleasantly surprised not just the low key beautiful vineyards but the amazing service for a mid-week visit. All there wines red and white are full bodied and have a distinctive character to them. Although the few reds and whites that are steel aged did not contain the depth and boldness of the french oak aged wines they still had considerable character and a full palate from beginning to end. Most impressive! Their '07 Chardonnay is amazing beginning to end with strong vanilla, butter, caramel flavors and slight citrus over tones. I would by a case if I were you. The reds especially the Pinot for me, is the type of wine I could sit in my back yard on a cool summer night and forget about tomorrows up coming work schedule. My wife especially enjoyed the Chardonnay and their sweet Sauvignon Blanc Lace it a was killer especially after their Artisan Wine (awesome by the way). I would suggest starting with the Lace 1st because of the crazy sweetness. Maris had a few suggestions for that dessert wine you need to inquire about. Just mention the "LPD"! I would definitely go back to enjoy one of their Friday nights entertainment with a bottle of wine to boot. read more

After enjoying a great bottle of wine on the patio with our two dogs, we came to realize a rock was lodged between our brake pads and we had to get our car towed into town. We quickly realized there was no Ubers coming out that way, and luckily our server, Sally, kindly offered to drive us back to our campsite with our dogs in tow! If friendly was what we were looking for on our last visit to Geyserville, we found it here in spades. Two women helped us out (a veteran, and a newbie who was just learning the ropes) and both were generous, inviting, friendly, and helpful. Not a single wine passed our lips that we didn't think, "yum, I would totally drink a bottle of this" - so we joined the wine club. 6 bottles twice a year, plus access to their rental properties at discounted rates, and discounts at all of their sister wineries (Soda Rock, Pezzi King, Wilson, Jaxon Keys, Matrix and Mazzoco)? Delorimier is by far the best winery in Alexander Valley. Every visit they have given my group outstanding customer service. I brought my parents here for my Mom's birthday and they waived the tasting fee. All of their reds are great, but my favorite is their Chardonnay. I am not a Chardonnay person, but this is one of my favorite whites. Basha has recently helped me fulfill an order and was excellent. Can't wait to visit again. read more

4 stars for their Sauvignon Blanc! I didn't enjoy their other varieties as much (Zinfandel, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon), but that's because I'm not big on dry wines. The staff here is what really makes this winery often- they are super chill but knowledgable, and don't charge you for the tasting! It says they charge $5 on their wine tasting list, but they were really cool about it. Their wines have also won awards in the past, so they have some good stuff. Parking is ample here, and a definite stop if you are close to Geyserville! read more

Wine: 4 Stars Views: 4 Stars Service: 5 Stars We dropped in on a lazy mid-week afternoon driving from Ft Bragg to St Helena. Lovely grounds and vineyard views lead you into a tasting room with standing bar that looks out through a glass wall over the vineyards. Terry was great & we took copious notes! We ended up doing side-by-side tastings of most varietals -- Merlot, Malbec (nice -- one of my favorite malbecs to date), Sangiovese, Petite Verdot (hard to find & quite lovely), and then had four "reserve/estate" verticals of their Cabs from their different vineyards. Very nice to be able to taste the changes from the "reserve" to the "estate" in the same vineyard and how the winemaker uses the strengths & minimizes the weaknesses within a vineyard depending upon that year's harvest. With some vineyards we preferred the "reserve" offering, and others we preferred the "estate" bottle. Some of the best CS we've tasted at their respective price points (around $50 for reserve & $36 - $40 for estate) We then finished (yes, we tasted 15 different wines) with three of their Meritages (1999 and 2 2005s). Ended up buying the 05 Artisan Meritage (CS, Merlot, Malbec blend). We didn't join their club (kind of need to regroup & figure out how many bottles of wine will be arriving at our front door any day now . . . .) We definitely will drop back by when we can & try their sister wineries offerings too. Jaxon Keys is next! read more

One of my favorite places to go tasting! Bring a picnic, they have beautiful seating in the courtyard, and on othe lawn. Very heavy on Cabs - so not much white/light wines. The Cabs are all really nice - and they produce a variety of vineyard designates. The staff is very friendly! We went there three years ago and had a great experience with their chardonnay and malbec. Last week again I enjoyed most of their whites. especially the 2008 chardonnay from alexander valley is very dry and refreshing with a great touch of fruity flavor. I loved the malbec reserve since it has a great after taste. If you like heavy merlos, you'd love it but my very favorite is their "Artisan". The vinyard is also very beautiful for events and the staff is very friendly. if you like a down to earth place where people are not snob but have a great quality wine, you'll enjoy this vinyard. read more

Two of the most helpful tasting staff (thought they where sisters). Everyone has their own taste in wine, so I'll just say, I highly recommend you stop here and see for yourself. My husband and I have been members of deLorimier for almost 1 year. We became members while visiting the winery during a trip for our 2nd Anniversary. The wines--fabulous. The people--just as fabulous! One of the best Sauvignon Blancs I have ever tried and might I note that I'm not normally a fan of white wines. This SB has nice grapefruit flavors and isn't too sweet. Love their red wines--the "Reserves" are most often better than the non-reserves, but not always so try them both! They just seem to be more complex at earlier ages; however, I'm sure the non-reserves will age well over time and soften up. The Malbec, which they only recently began to bottle, is very "plummy", very smooth. Their cabs are a must as well as their Primitivo. It is jammy and delicious! Don't forget to taste the available dessert wines--you won't be disappointed. They have various club options, we are part of their Cellar Club: 12 bottles, 2x/year, 25% off all wines. Great deal and makes it easy to pick up the wines since they only ship out twice per year. Highly recommend this winery. We recently stayed here and had a small wedding ceremony here and We have nothing but great things to say! The Artisan suite was super cute, the views of the vineyard at sunrise and sunset are awesome! The wedding went great! Isabella took care of EVERYTHING, I literally just had to show up! She was sweet, attentive, and went beyond the call of duty to make sure the ceremony was perfect! She even had someone patrol the parking lot so that we didn't have cars in the background of our pictures! We really pleased with the staff and everyone who made our day so fun and so pretty! Six of us stayed in the Vineyard House for 5 nights. There was plenty of room with 3 bedrooms and 3 baths. The large kitchen made it easy for all of us to maneuver around. We loved the back deck where the views were beautiful - especially in the mornings. We went to a wine pairing and we all agreed it was the best we had ever been to. Chef Kate did an awesome job pairing the wine with the food. All of the staff were very friendly and helped us with directions and suggestions for other boutique wineries. We joined the wine club because the wine is fantastic. Highly recommend this place. WE WILL BE BACK!!! read more

I will say that the gal that was pouring during one tasting was a bit demanding when it came to her list. Last weekend we celebrated my birthday with family. I would recommend this place to anyone who loves and enjoys good cabernet sauvignon. The winery is off the beaten path and is in a gorgeous setting. We were given a large table on the outside patio. But it was a hot day and soon the heat and sun was too much so even though the server had to help us move our wine glasses he readily and with a smile set up a new table inside in a private tasting room which was air conditioned and cool. I have been to many wineries in Napa and Sonoma for wine tasting. most of the places are too commercial and mostly interested in selling membership to their wine clubs. But the personal attention and courtesy, deLorimier Wine Tasting Manager Jim Ferguson and his staff paid to us was wonderful. They gave us the information on their club but did not hard sell. Jim Ferguson personally attended our group and not only shared the history of the winery but the excellent cabs we tasted and the vineyards from where the grapes were harvested. He gave us his own personal background and qualifications and then mentioned the owner and winemaker Diane Wilson and her awesome wine making experience. We tasted all the cabs on the list and even one which was not on their list. Usually they only open it for special dinners for their buyers and wholesalers. I loved the attention and pampering we got but above all the Cabs were outstanding. I highly recommend this winery to all Cab lovers. Alexander Valley Cabs are truly excellent. I am basing this review off of my wedding. I would give the location and the staff that works in the tasting room five stars. Now up until the day of my wedding I would give the management five stars as well, but unfortunately they disappointed me. Isabelle the event coordinator was great up until the day before the wedding; I received an email saying Harvest started early and I cannot have my ceremony under the oak tree. I understand it is not her fault, but no one warned me that this could be a possibility. This is the only reason why I wanted to have my wedding at deLorimier was because of the oak tree. In the contract it shows one of the locations to have the ceremony is under the oak tree and on the contract it does not say anything about early harvest...she argued with my husband and told him "you are wrong and asked where on the contract does it say that because I am looking at it right now." My husband and I were shocked at how she was talking to him. Once she found the oak tree on her contract as part of a location to have the ceremony she did apologize and took control of the situation. The tractors and bins were moved from the location so that we can have our wedding ceremony there. I did appreciate that from her...unfortunately there was no grass or lavenders surrounding the tree like Ryan the tasting room manager told me there would be, but the oak tree was beautiful and perfect. Isabelle was great for rehearsal. My husband and I were satisfied with her in the end. Now, Ryan the tasting room manager was not so pleasant the day of the wedding. My husband and groomsmen dropped off the kegs and equipment into the cellar and I do not know who Ryan thought the groomsmen's were but he told two of them not to steel any of the wine in the cellar because he has counted everything and knows his inventory....can you say RUDE and DISGUSTING. I was appalled when two of the groomsmen's told me that. The other thing that rubbed me the wrong way was that my DJ asked Ryan if he can use an extension cord for the ceremony and Ryan said he did not know if he wanted to let him use it because it was really expensive. My DJ made sure to give it back to him right after the ceremony. I do not know what was up with Ryan, when I first met him he showed me the location he was so nice. He gave me a wonderful tour of the winery and was the reason I chose the site. I understand people have bad days but when you work in that business suck it up and put a smile on your face. My guests and vendors did not deserve to be treated like that. He had a grumpy look on his face the entire time he did not acknowledge my fiancé and I once. I am not a diva at all but if I smile and waive at you do not be rude...smile and wave back. I enjoyed my special day other wise and blocked his grumpy self out. The location is beautiful, the wine is very tasty, the sauvignon blanc and cabernet (I forgot which cab we ordered) were very good. My guests had a blast and loved the location. Other than the few hiccups it was all in all a great wedding. Just make sure if you have a wedding at deLoriemier only deal with Isabelle and review the contract.
