    The Blender

My carry on bag got flagged at TSA with my Travel Ninja blender. This has never happened before and I travel quite a bit. There is barely a blade on it. The TSA folks were very kind but let me know that it would have to be checked. Walked me and gave me a fast pass reentry for TSA. I had plenty of time and I have pre check, but they were treating me like my flight was in 10min's. Very kind. Shirish, is who I first uncounted when attempting to check the blender. I have him the sinario and he was very kind light headed and understanding. He suggests that I don't check my computer bag. He then brought over Janessa, who it seemed was the sight manager. She laughed that they wouldn't check the blender, then jumped into problem solving high gear. She said, I'm going to find you a box. She the quickly started the hunt. Less the 5min later she had the perfect size box. I wrapped the blender with my jacket and she tapped it up (as seen in photo) this was a mildly busy day during the strikes happening across the United States at other airports and these two really showed me kindness, staying cool, calm, and collected the whole time. So I just wanted to thank them here!

It's 4 dark 30 and my flight has a mechanical. At least I'm not alone .

I've always enjoyed my travel experiences with Delta Airlines. I've travelled between SEA and DEN a few times. As airports go, DEN is an incredible facility. For outbound Delta customers arriving by car, there is a dedicated curbside check in counter. They are located at Doors 614/612 and Level 5 Door 512/514. Junessa is our gate agent. Delta-style pleasant disposition; clear announcements and from my observation, very patient with distressed customers. This is why I choose to fly Delta.

THere seem to be multiple "Delta Air LInes" throughout Yelp. So, If you feel that you've seen this review before, you probably have. I can't say enough good things about Delta, they always do a wonderful job getting me from here to there or... in reverse. it is an amazing airline. It has always been a great airline. Their planes are always clean when we get on. Unfortunately someone always stashes that piece of garbage and I'm usually the one who finds it. LOL. They do a great job of preparing flights from customer to customer. The attendants are always very friendly, courteous and professional. A great group of very talented and committed individuals. They should all be very proud of themselves. I have flown both economy and Delta Priority 1. BIG difference and depending on the length of the flight, it may be worth it. I recognize that there is a big price difference in the two so it's not always an easy choice. The seating is always comfortable and there is always enough legroom. (I'm 5'11"). The video screens are a good size and there is always enough entertainment choices. I'll give the snacks an ok. Nothing spectacular but OK. I definitely miss the blue chips. I definitely miss the free hi speed WiFi. If it's a long flight, you can buy and it's pretty reasonably priced. I don't mind flying, really I don't. When I do, Delta does a great job. I'm not always thrilled about be put into a tube and shot across the country sitting for 3-6 hours but when I do, Delta is a great way to go. KUDOs to the team at Delta.

The attendants on delta flight are very friendly and welcoming. Though the boarding line wasn't very well organized, and it took a while to get on the plane and load the carry on luggages.

I feel like I have not traveled by plane in forever let alone, I cannot recall if I have flown via Delta Airlines. Well one thing I do know, this was my first Delta One (first class) experience on this type of aircraft. I have seen other first class flight seatings, but this one here, I felt was state of the art. My husbae usually flys first class and this was his first time experiencing this level of seating as well. We were both impressed. The most comfortable seating I have experienced, ever! While our flight was diverted from JFK to ATL, I felt the crew and team, did their best to ensure we had a great flight with less hiccups as possible. Overall, I would definitely fly Delta One again and recommend you check them out as well. This is definitely a great treat! Have fun ~ be safe ~ enjoy life :)

My flight was delayed after boarding because they "lost necessary paperwork" .So here we sit waiting for the paperwork that prevent this plane from flying. Flight DL530 from Denver to Atlanta, on November 11 2023. We are already 34/5 minutes passed our takeoff time. I flew with Air, since I've heard they're the best airline. The experience was terrible. Firstly, they lost my suitcase. Since this was my first time flying I put everything in my suitcase. I didn't carry a single item that couldn't fit in my pockets on the plane. The baggage claim customer service sucks. Every representative I spoke to told me something different. They all also act like they can't open my file and read the notes the previous representative made. Delta also changed my seats on all but one of my flights. I will say I booked through chase. I don't know if that matters any. But I went from the front of the main cabin to almost the back of the plane on every flight. I complained about this on my last flight and I will say they moved me to comfort+ seating. So what's the best airline for future reference?

On two separate occasions, we sat on the plane for about an hour before takeoff because of "paperwork."Delays happen, but repeatedly boarding passengers and then leaving everyone sitting there for an hour because paperwork isn't ready is incredibly frustrating. What makes it worse is the attitude that wasting passengers' time is simply no big deal. There was very little sense of urgency or concern about the inconvenience being caused. Frontier already offers essentially no included amenities. Everything feels like an additional charge, so at the very least I would expect the basic operation of getting passengers to their destination reasonably close to schedule to be handled efficiently. Low fares are only a bargain when you can actually depend on the airline. After experiencing these delays more than once, the savings are simply not worth the frustration, lost time, and poor customer experience.

It is one of the two airlines we use most often…read more Our experiences were different on our eastbound trip from that on our westbound trip home. Everything on our departing flight could not have been more perfect. We had a very new jet with updated interior seating. We left on time, the weather was very good and the staff could not have been nicer. The snacks are more meager than our other preferred airline, but the options suited most others seated near me. We had excellent help from TSA and from United as I used a wheelchair for airport mobility for the first time. I hope I will not need it for our next trip. We landed on time in Hartford at BDL and were met by our friends who were picking us up. We had not checked bags so we merely had to walk out the door to meet them. There had been plenty of room for our carryons. Our return from Hartford could not have been more different. We had booked the same class seats in almost the same row. These seats were older and the bottom cushion of my seat was broken or detached from the back cushion. The plane was so full, there would not have been an option to relocate, so I said nothing. They had to take a lot of carryons from the back rows of passengers and send them through as "checked." We did not have to relinquish ours, which played out later for those who surrendered theirs. We took off on time but we knew we were heading to Denver during afternoon thunderstorm predictions. The snacks were even more meager. When we got close to Denver, the pilot alerted us that there had been some storms and ground stops already and we would be circling for quite some time. He thought we had enough fuel to do so. We spent about 2 hours coasting and bumping over Texas and New Mexico, seat belt signs on all the time. None of this was United's fault, of course. But it led to much discomfort on the plane. Finally the pilot told us that refueling had become necessary so we were landed in Grand Junction to do so. We were not allowed off of the plane because GJT does not have TSA in the evenings. But at least we could get out of our seats, stand or walk a bit to stretch our legs and use what water and snacks we had left of our own supplies. The flight attendants had nothing more to offer. People with a nearby destination were able to call for pickup by friends since GJT had no rental cars, and never has one way rental options. Also, no checked luggage could be dispensed. About 6 people got up and left with only their carry on. The staff had no resources but were as nice as they could be under the circumstances. We finally arrived in Denver, a little after midnight, 5 hours late. I am not sure even a cancelled flight could have turned out better. They made the choice to fly, being optimistic. I was relieved to be home by 1am. I would never want to repeat this event though. Just bad luck, but a nicer plane and more snacks and drinks would have been nice. It is a guess on how to rate this, so I am giving the best guess for an average of the 2 flights.

Everything was on time and the first flight crew was great. The next flight out, the crew was equally great, the boarding process was fast, and the flight arrived early. Hard to beat that. They also were offering a $1500 travel credit if someone gave up their seat, but on the heels on a fun but mildly exhausting trip, I couldn't rally for it. Just wasn't in the cards this time but I appreciate them not crapping out a low ball offer like I've seen from Southwest where they roll a few points onto your account. $1500 is a real, "we mean business" kind of offer which is a good sign. In an era of consolidated airlines and travel delays, this was a welcome breath of fresh air. I probably need more info to really gauge it, but glad to try them out recently.

This strategy created remarkable loyalty and made Southwest one of the most admired and fun airlines in the industry. Today, the company appears to be moving in a very different direction. Following pressure from activist investors and changes in leadership with the CFO being promoted to the CEO, Southwest has embraced a more revenue-driven strategy focused on increasing shareholder returns. The introduction of checked-bag fees, paid seat selection, and other ancillary charges marks a significant departure from the business model that differentiated the airline for more than 50 years. Today, checking a bag can cost around $90 on some fares, and passengers often have to pay extra to secure a desirable seat. Without doing so, many will end up in a middle seat toward the back of the aircraft. I did on all my flights to SLC via Denver and Los Angeles. These initiatives may improve short-term cash flow and earnings, but they also risk weakening the customer loyalty that was once Southwest's greatest competitive advantage. In my case, i will avoid Southwest like the plague and i really fly a great deal. Over the past couple of years flights are systematically delayed, luggages are lost , agents at the gate have little authority to change things as the focus has shifted away from customers and operations. Profitability and shareholder value are essential goals for any public company. However, the strongest businesses create long-term shareholder value by first creating exceptional value for their customers. Time will tell whether Southwest's new strategy proves successful, but from a passenger's perspective, the airline has lost much of what once made it special.

Revisiting major hub airports in America (1 of 2)…read more I am updating this review based on a broader range of experiences connecting at DIA, the local nickname for DEN. At first glance, you might pick on this airport for the crazy tented main terminal, for how large it is, and for how far it is from the city and its suburbs. In more recent years, I have connected here during a winter snowstorm and connected from a domestic to an international flight. The tented area is centralized and shared for check-in by all carriers as well as where the security process begins. The cable stayed tents do not look as impressive from inside, so I'm not that wowed by this gimmick. However, it is definitely an inimitable signature for DEN. Aside from one landing during a snowstorm at Montreal, I both landed at and took off from this airport during a snowstorm, connecting on Southwest. Both the landing and take off were seamless, as was the deicing procedure and this airport seems to have that down to a science. Gates for international partners of the most important carrier here - United - are often not that far away from the gate where a person may be deplaning. I was able to connect to a Lufthansa jumbo here and it was almost simpler than domestic connections I've had at other airports. What brings on more love for DEN are its grandiose three terminals: A, B, and C ... and how well they seem to function. In addition to many gates, there are many concessions, numerous restrooms are always close at hand and fairly clean, and there are moving walkways within each terminal. What's especially impressive is that there are four parallel walkways, meaning two in each direction. (It reminds me of some of the subway lines under Manhattan where there is express and local service, thus requiring four tracks!) Many similarly laid out airports, such as Atlanta, did not provide for this type of space in the design of the airport and its terminals. I also like that they have commercial grade carpeting in the terminals. I definitely prefer it. Lastly, rides on the automated tram between the terminals are short, as is the wait for the next tram. Of course, there will be the funny things about this international airport. First and foremost is DEN's tented main terminal. I thought it was really weird when I first saw it. I also felt that the airport was located too far away from the city area and the local joke was that it was in Kansas. The city's rapid transit system has a terminus here for one of its most important lines and a spur of the freeway known as Pena Boulevard easily takes vehicles to and from the airport. It was putting it that far out on such a spacious property that allowed for the 3 parallel runway system. Not only that, this metro area exhibits continuous growth and there is infill in that direction. Lastly, seeing people sleep in this airport is not that uncommon. I have done it myself. I had a flight on Southwest arriving in DEN at 11:30 p.m. with the next one departing at 6:00 a.m. the following morning. By the time you found a place to sleep and would leave to come back to the airport, you might have only slept for four hours. It was better to just sit there in the terminal and vigilantly snooze. It turns out I'm thankful I got to experience that. On the first of 3 flights on Southwest starting in Oakland, one male passenger was getting really sassy about masks and seat belts. He would not answer affirmatively when asked whether he would comply with instructions during the flight. Several of us passengers caught the attention of the flight crew as we motioned with a quick back and forth tilt of our heads as if to say "he's outta here." With him gone, the flights operated on time and a return to the airport for a disruptive passenger was avoided. With that explained, I was happy to have slept at, and in, DEN and still arrive at my destination midday the following day. So, in closing, DEN features a simple, logical, and capacious scheme, yet still have its quirks and make for unique stories and memories for people. However, the airport's best feature is that it's high functioning.

The queues to go through security. Had TSA Pre check and got routed to another lane. Once you get through they have these machines that spit up the trays and they take forever. I asked if we could just move to a different side (there were 3) to get a tray and were told no. TSA was so rude. They are just barking orders at you. I was trying to ask a question about something and was waved forward. Once through security more construction. Then having to navigate down to the trains. The trains are overcrowded, people just push you out of the way, the people helping others in wheelchairs just bash into you. They need someone directing traffic there. I left the airport on a layover to get down to the trains and it was hard to navigate there with the construction and it is a trek. Coming back it was less of a trek as I knew what to expect. Exiting the airpot to try and navigate your way to the shuttles car services etc was a game of frogger. I know it is my fault I flew Frontier but they are in the underbelly of the airport. I know they are in the lowest part as Frontier does boarding on the tarmac. It was lots of escalators down to get to where you need to catch your gate. Luckily the gate we left from was more modern than the one we came in on. I have only flown through this airport 2x and will do my best to continue to avoid it. I travel a fair bit and have been in a lot of airports and this is my least favorite .

They insisted I try the kiosk first. Unsurprisingly.. it didn't work. I was allowed to get in the check in line with an agent where I stood for the next almost 2 hours. Yes, 2 hours standing on a concrete floor. My back was screaming (old people problems, I know). I finally got up to an agent who said I wasn't able to check in because I needed to show my visa. I pulled up my British electronic visa and she said "no love, your American visa".. while holding my American passport in her hand. I explained I don't need a visa because I am an American returning to my home country. She looked confused but decided she needed to call someone to help. I stood while she was on hold and transferred around to different places who eventually told her it was an issue in the system today and they would remove the error. She then told me I had no seat on the flight because it was oversold and they couldn't guarantee I would get on, so they may have to book my on the next flight which was the next day or would need to look at another airline for me. She gave me a boarding pass that was or standby and said to hurry to the gate to try and get a seat. I got in the security line and about 15 minutes later, I was up.. I scanned my boarding pass and it errored out, not letting me through. An employee told me I had to get in a different line to see what was wrong with my boarding pass. I stood in anther line for a good 40 minutes. Once I got help, they told me I couldn't get through because I don't have a seat and would have to fly standby. I explained, yes.. that's why I have a standby boarding pass. It says standby on it. She said it wasn't standby in the system and it needed to be fixed, so she had to call someone to assist. Another 15 minutes later and they couldn't get it to work and I was going to miss the flight, she said she would take me through a different security line so I could get to the gate. She did that and I had to take a train to get to the gate, which wasn't working for about 5 minutes because it was having a "security sweep" with officers and dogs going through it. I finally got on the train, got off at the right place, ran all the way to the gate as they were boarding. Asked if they had a seat for me, and they huffily said they did but I almost didn't because I waited so long to get to the gate. Are you kidding me? I got on the plane and will be happy to never fly British Airlines again. I guess all the great luck I've had traveling was made up for on this trip. Just terrible.
