I was told that it also needed a wheel alignment so I followed up with Gentilly Goodyear. They told me that the alignment was fine but the balancing was not done properly (it would be 20 for a balance but the ones that put it on should do it free). I went back to Banner to check my options. It was 70 dollars plus tax to get my four wheels balanced or they could hold it over the weekend and get it back Monday and maybe have something done to it (price on option two unknown). Matt was ready to let me know how much he hated his job and how much he hated being there on the weekend. I'm sure he wanted the commission from my 70 dollar sale. I took it back to Goodyear, told them the crap from Banner, and that I would take the balance they told me about. Goodyear did it free. It may have been easy for them, but Goodyear got my future service and good word of mouth. Banner won a 1 star review and not having to deal with me again. Not the cheapest of options to fulfill your various car servicing needs, but they were great at responding to my needs in a moment of aggregation, and I can, therefore, suggest them over many other locations that might try to sell you rotten eggs.

For some of the more basic or routine maintenance items I went to Allen's automotive in Metairie because they were more affordable and easier to work with on smaller items. Between the dealership, Allen's, and DIY on very basic level items I must've saved at least 1k for the same quality and level of work needed to keep my car safe. I appreciate them pointing out what needed to be done tho, cut time troubleshooting for the other shops. I'd only recommend this shop if you as a customer are keen about sticking to one shop and are ok with paying dealership prices. They're very upfront about it being a premium price point. They did not like that I chose to go with other businesses after the safety inspection I initially had.
