Everything about the Elmhurst Delta Sonic screams "GREAT" and "PROFESSIONAL". The folks at this car wash get the job done. Perfect. Efficient. More importantly...full of value. Do they try to upsell? Yes! And that's what they should do, that is their business. But their pressure in selling is far less than that of their waters. They clean a car like no other. Get in. Get out. So disappointed. I have been getting my cars washed here for a little over a month and wash above your basic wash you can come back within 5 days for a free wash. Well previously they just hand you a receipt giving you the 5 day expiration date...my last visit I purchased the SUPER KISS car wash and was handed my receipt with a folder/flyer...I honestly thought it was an advertisement explaining their monthly car wash membership, so I tossed it. I went back today to get my free wash and was asked for the bar code. I asked "what bar code? I have my receipt that was given to me on 3 days ago and that was it. The girl said "didn't you get an advertisement envelope with the purchase...that had your barcode for the free wash inside it" NOBODY TOLD ME I NEEDED TO KEEP THE ADVERTISEMENT...WHO PUTS A RECEIPT THAT YOU ACTUALLY NEED INSIDE A PIECE OF JUNK. That must be the plan...put the receipt inside something people will think is garbage and don't inform them their receipt is inside so this way when the customer comes back they look like fools and have no choice but to buy another wash! I'd give no stars if I could. Signed up for monthly for two vehicles, was not informed in any way that it was auto renewed. They don't allow you to cancel it with a refund even if you didn't get a wash during the next month. They did say that they would talk to their people. Doesn't get much more awful. That is other than the fact that their blow dryers don't dry the car. They hand dry them with towels. It's like getting your car washed in the 70's, and the front of our SUV was still dirty after the wash. Worst wash and customer service ever. read more

Frank Chavez, the manager who interviewed him, was one of the kindest and most respectful managers I have ever met. He was incredibly patient, he explained every question in great detail, he listened carefully to every question that was asked of him. He responded with courtesy and reverence. I have been going to all the Delta Sonic for about 15 years. This morning I had a wonderful experience and I thought I would share it with you. I drove up to the car wash line and the attendant who you pay to get a wash introduced himself to me as Sergio Bardes. He welcomed me to Delta Sonic in this joyful voice. He explained everything to me and wished me a great day. This has never happened to me at Delta Sonic before and he made me fell so good in starting my day. I thought he did such a good job that I wanted to tell the manager. As i was getting my car dried up I asked to speak to the manager to tell him how good an em[employee he has. The manager comes to my car and it was Sergio. I was not surprised because I could tell he really cared about the customer. You have a great employee there and he should be in charge of training for all your locations. read more

I love this place! I live very close so it's super convenient. They do a great automated car wash and then as you pull out, they have people drying off the car before you pull onto the street. Very thorough car wash. They often have a buy 2, get 1 free deal, also. I dig it. read more

By far the best car wash around. Been going here every week for years. They have Premium D 2 Diesel...not the biodiesel stuff. I use the rewards program which is a strait-forward discount on fuel. Too expensive for what I got. $20 for exterior only. Paid for the top level wash and the wheels were still covered in brake dust and there were drip marks in the back. No towel dry. Disappointing. I don't live in this area but wouldn't come back if I did live here. People who worked there were very nice though. Can't have a top package that does not clean the wheels. read more

first it takes forever to get to the gas station crossing the road then you have to wait for a pump to open that also takes forever. if you get something in the conveinince store they dont even give you a bag lastly if you get a carwash when they hand dry your car they take forever to then you have to get back onnorth ave. read more

One evening I visited the car wash this guy did a thorough detail during waxes and all the works at the end during final drying I tipped him was very pleased!! Excellent job! But on other nights I am not sure where they have hired these clueless slow attendants from. That is why I can't give it 5 stars. Only one time had a fantastic job done on my truck! read more

This is a great car wash because it's "no-touch." I have a car with a body kit on it, and a lot of car washes make me nervous because they are too rough. This car was was perfect and there are barley any moving parts that touched my car (other than the soft cloth strips that are standard in most car washes). The smell of the car wash is also nice. It is a very long car wash compared to most, where you pull up and your car is sprayed down prior to entering the wash. The employees are also very nice, teenagers. They hand-dry your car at the end, so make sure to bring a dollar or two to hand to the person drying your car. Car looks great and would definitely go again, but I did take off one star because the cost is fairly high compared to most of the $3 car washes that have started to pop-up (I don't think the $3 car washes are superior to this one, but the price at Delta Sonic is a little higher). I think I paid $13 for the middle package, and I just found out that means that I can come back within 5 days for another wash! That's great to hear! So it's a great deal if you live close by. read more

I have been using Delta Sonic for years and have been part of their Unlimited Club. Today, I stopped at this Delta Sonic on North Ave, a location that I don't normally use, the manager approached me and informed me that my vehicle is now considered a Commercial Vehicle due to being affiliated with Uber. I only have my car washed about once a week and have always tipped well. I am very disappointed, as she has informed me that SHE will be canceling my plan. The employees do a fantastic job but because of the unprofessional nature of this young girls attitude toward me, I will no longer do business with Delta Sonic. This location is definitely off my list of friendly businesses. read more

Just got home from Elmhurst location and found DEEP SCRATCHES on my black 2013 BMW. I went back to the Delta Sonic to file a claim and then some employee showed up saying: "Car wash can't do that". Well, after just a few minutes and Google search "Delta Sonic scratch my car" I'm sure it CAN and it DOES SCRATCH CARS. It freaking DOES THAT. Identical scratches just like on the pictures, that other people posted. And its already happened third time with my car for the past 14 month!!! First time it happened on March 16, 2014 when my car wasn't even 1 year old since brand new. State Farm paid for the paint job back then. When I noticed the scratch I couldn't even think it happened from Delta Sonic car wash. I spent hours watching a week-long video from outside surveillance camera trying to find out who vandalize my car. And I yelled at the dude who parks next to me (just in case). Second time it happened in February of this year and I blamed my wife of removing a snow with a plastic scrubber not carefully enough. And the third time - Today I noticed a fresh scratches right after morning car wash. And now I feel like a moron of blaming other people back then because those scratches was coming from that Super Kissed Car Wash EVERY FREAKING TIME! I heard rumors of car washes being able to scratch cars and I was never too lazy to hand wash all my cars. Always. Just in case. But then I moved to Addison from WI and my buddy was: "Dude you should try that Delta Sonic, its awesome and its only 18 bucks a month!!!" Lazy dumbass! There is a paint-job and buffing for a thousand of dollars already. Not including stress and all that BS trough my insurance. read more

The girls that work inside here are super sweet! Have only gone through the car wash once here (more expensive than my normal $3 car wash), but the one time they did an AWESOME job! Only negative I would say is it's hard to get in here, hard to get out of here, and hard to move around IN here!! Extremely close to my house, though- so for now I'm sticking with them! read more

I have been coming here for years and was the only place I would go too because it would clean my SUV's fully, but that is not the case anymore. The wash has gone downhill and the price has gone up. Every time I leave now there is dirt on my car after washing it. In fact I just went back to have the car washed again because when I came home I noticed it wasn't cleaned fully again, and the attendant had the nerve to tell me it doesn't even look like this car was washed. That was why I was coming back, to have it washed again because the first time was a horrible job! The second job was no better, still dirty. If you have an attendent drying your car wouldn't you think they would notice that it is still dirty? Nope. No more! read more

Fuel Review: First I would like to say that the employees at this location are extremely friendly and honest. With that said, approximately a month ago I filled up my truck (32gal tank) with their fuel (regular). About two days later, while driving on the highway, my truck pinged several fault codes with a check engine light. I had my local dealership check out the problems. They came back and asked what type of fuel I used. I told them that I only use regular (as the engine calls for) and that I get my fuel from delta sonic. They also asked if I put anything else in the fuel tank. I told them no and that no one could because I use a locking gas cap. They then checked the fuel and found the gas to be terrible. They said that the fuel was either months old or watered down heavily. This was the reason the truck was having issues. They went ahead and dumped the entire tank (About $68 worth) and put in Shell regular gas. It ran for about 30minutes and all codes disappeared and the truck ran like new. The next day I went back to Delta Sonic and asked about this issue. The manager and register worker told me that the gas is just terrible. They even said "we don't buy our own gas from here". They explained that Delta Sonic does not use a single supplier but several suppliers. Delta Sonic purchases old fuel or fuel that doesn't meet quality standards and that's why they always have the lower prices. From that day on I only purchased fuel from Shell and found my truck to run 100% better. Bottom line, DO NOT buy fuel from Delta Sonic until they start purchasing good quality gas. Wash Review: I have been an unlimited wash customer with Delta Sonic for about a year. Overall the wash job is decent. Again I have a large truck and the car wash does a decent job with it. A few issues that I have, like other reviews state, something is always broken. They installed a new spray system to help clean your vehicle before entering the wash. Bad news, it only work about half the time. Once in the wash I pay attention to what is happening. Sometimes the soap right at the beginning doesn't always work, then other times I found that the under spray didn't activate, a few times towards the end of the wash the body gloss doesn't spray (lights up tho) and then sometimes the air dryers aren't running at 100%. When all done I pull out and park in a drying bay. I get out and check my truck. If I find it dirty or soap still on it I run it thought the wash again. I do this until the wash is done correctly. (Once it took me 4 washes) Once cleaned I always ask the employees who work the drying station to use clean towels. I always tip depending on the job they do. A bad dry job will end with a $1-$2 dollar tip while a good job will earn them a $5+ tip. read more
