Some of the detailing staff have to be called out for their lack of attention to details and their lack of pride in the work they perform. Case in point, I requested full service interior detailing. upon completion I looked inside the back of the truck to see the floors not vacuumed but floor mats were washed and put in place. I noticed the associate working on the passenger side take the vacuum and took 2 swipes on the front passenger floor then as slowly as possible, put the vacuum hose back in place. I brought this to the attention of the other associate working on the driver side and proceeded to vacuum the entire truck. Kudos to him. Unfortunately, this is the second incident of poor service. i love delta sonic and have had a membership for probably over two years now. it's relatively cheap and pretty much pays for itself after the first wash of the month. i chose this membership over other carwash locations with memberships because of the towel dry option as well as additional detailing services they provide. i believe they also offer oil changes and tire services at select locations. it's great in a pinch for the summer when i don't have the time to do my own handwashing and additional detailing. it's even better in the winter when it's ungodly cold and the hose isn't connected to the house. the only thing i haven't been too happy with recently is some of the people who towel dry seem to just be over it and not care to dry your car properly which in turn leaves water spots. i get it but i also don't. i mean at the end of the day you're the one who applied for the job. i also have taken notice that since getting my car pinstriped, the people with the power washers just love to spray right at my pinstriping like they're trying to see if it'll come off. it's like they want to deface my car and i absolutely do not appreciate it at all. i take great pride and joy in maintaining the appearance of my car (hence my membership). i paid 350 for a man to do the pinstriping with actual paint by hand and no stencils or guides in miami. he came from nothingfacing problems of his own and turned his life around. he's now making a great living and has done work for some pretty famous people so not only does it hurt me because it's my car, it hurts him because you're disrespecting his work. i just wish the employees had a little more respect. i'm sure they wouldn't appreciate it if it were their car, so why they think it's okay just blows me. read more

I got $47.99 package for inside and out. They were supposed to steam clean seats, floor mats, vacuum and clean all vinyl on dash and doors. When I paid the you g woman did not give me a receipt. I thought she had stapled to card but when questioned by the attendant at the detail area he asked if I had verification that I purchased that package. When it came out of detail the floor mats were not clean, hardly looked vacuumed, seats still had crumbs and dirt. I opened back doors and dust on doors was as if they hadn't been touched. I did this as a gift for my daughter (her car) and I feel like I am going to have spend an hour plus on it once I get it home. read more

A week and a half ago, I took my car in for a wash and interior detail to the DS Joliet location. The interior detail included the base package plus front and back map shampoo, both front seat shampoos, and new car air fresheners. Four or so days later, I started to have a pissy smell about 15 secs into turning the car on and turning on the air. The pissy smell got stronger and stronger with each passing day. Too me, the smell would last for about 30 or so secs then dissipate. Maybe it was still there, but I could no longer smell it; probably because I was used the smell by then. About 10 days in from the original visit, I can no longer take the smell, so I took the car back to DS to share my concern. I was greeted by Gabe who I explained the situation to and he was very receptive to my concern. I never made an accusation that the pissy smell was as a result of the interior detailing they did 10 days prior. I was simply looking for a solution to rid the car of the smell since they are a detail shop. Gabe took my situation to his manager, Milo. The solution Gabe returned with was to have the mats and front seats re-shampooed. Gabe/Milo did so at no charge. Although I was not prepared to go through with it today, my appreciation for the solution of a re-shampoo outweighed the wait. No matter what my previous experiences have been with DS Joliet, good or not so good, it was clear to me today that the management of this location has a desire to make happy customers. I just asked and they obliged. I can't speak for all situations, but today, I was made whole. You have an issue at DS Joliet, see Gabe or his mgr, Milo. They aim to take care of you. My father takes very good care of his truck. It is a 2022 Platinum F-250 Super Duty, his pride and joy. So the disappointment of when he left the car wash was huge. It was his first time visiting. After spending $60 on the car wash (exterior and interior) he was expecting a near perfect wash. He asked the girl that charged him if they could please focus on the rims, seeing that they were the dirtiest part of the truck, she said they would take care of it. When they told him his truck was ready he noticed right away that they did not wash the rims. He asked if it was extra to clean the rims and the guy told him that he should have told them to focus on the rims before entering. He explained that he did. The guy reluctantly started to clean the rims. When he was finished my father noticed that they were still dirty. Instead of arguing he gave the guy a tip and left. Upon further inspection when he got home the windshield, windows and mirrors still had specks of dirt and water. He says he will never return. Horrible Experience! Pulled in bay to have a F150 dried. Was told to back up and come to another bay. Couldn't back up because everyone coming out of wash. Really someone can't walk 5 feet over to dry the truck. No cones up even to block the bay. It was busy even on an evening. Never got it dried and paid $26.00 for a Super Kiss Plus and it looks like crap. The line was backed up. You all try to back up and move. Really this is how they treat customers. Went inside and the guy at register wasn't even interested in knowing about our dissatisfaction. The truck looks like crap still. Not very happy and won't be back. Yesterday I went in for a car wash because my car was hideous from the outside it was full of bugs on the front bumper and dirty so there was a guy power washing and a female her name tag said MARITZA (or something similar) sending cars in. I just want to say they both did a GREAT JOB but this girl went above and beyond. Not only was she super nice but she stopped me nicely to get the bugs from my car. I've used them occasionally for car washes and made the mistake of using their detail services. Their wash leaves a white film on the car and the towel dry service is terrible. They reuse the towels until they are soaking wet. I paid $15 for an inside cleaning and an extra $20 for an upholstery shampoo. There are still spots on the upholstery and they didn't even wipe down the dashboard. There was a small dried leaf on it and it was still there when they were finished. I had even vacuumed the car before I brought it in and the floor mats still had mud on them. I will likely cancel the monthly unlimited wash and go back to doing it myself. If the gas wasn't the cheapest around I'd never go back again. read more

We explored the store, HUGE selection of beverages, freshly ground coffee (nice feature-self serve), brick oven pizza was hard as a rock frozen placed into an oven(you can do this at home) It has the potential for so much more! Car was clean on the outside, interior mats soaked, not sure why. I had mentioned it to the young man ( he just apologized but offered no help). I still had to go home and dry my own interior mats. The dash looked nice and the new car smell was nice. We tried the coffee (not good). The inside is huge and beautiful with an entire INSIDE wing for vacuuming your car in the winter!! Very cool! I have been here just twice, my first time wasn't great- as soon as the wash was done I notice the whole back side of my car didn't get washed ?!? How does that happen, they did run me through it one more time. Only until I noticed when I got home and came back and asked the girl that works there to look at it. So I gave it another try, $13 dollars for a crash is so expensive, since it's an express wash and I have been to others that do a better job for $5,$7,$10 with add on's. After my wash I notice there were still sports that had dirt. I came to delta sonic for a car wash and an interior detail. After an hour and a half I got my car back. It had black spots on the interior ceiling from their sprays, my touch screen would not work (was actually freaking out) and would not respond to my finger touching it. Dealership said they used a cleaner they never should have used on my touchscreen. And now I have stains on the leather behind my driver's seat from their cleaners. All my windows are streaked and worse than they were when I got there. I paid over $100 for a detail and my car is worse!! Please don't waste your money on their detailing. When I called and explained to the girl on the phone her response was that she couldn't help me and all the detailers were gone (I called 8 mins after I left), and to call and speak with a manager the next day. I brought my Monte Carlo in for a wash, as it was being pulled into the car wash a guide rail came loose and blew my left front tire out, This is where I'm not sure on how to rate this place, the manager came out, had his kids change my tire, and told me to get a new tire and bring him the bill, OK sounds fair, I asked him what caused this to happen, he said a truck hit the rail earlier that day and broke the rail, well I went and got my new tire $328.00, it took three days to come in, but it's fixed, I took the bill in and I was surprised, they took the money out of the register and paid me on the spot. five stars + for making things right zero stars for not fixing the damn thing when it broke. will I go back? If someone told me I could only visit three places outside of home for a year, the Delta Sonic would be one of them. This place has everything - Gas, convenience foods, lottery, post office, restaurant, casino, and interior and exterior car wash. I go here at least a couple of times a week. My wife and I have the unlimited exterior plan and I have the unlimited interior plan. With this comes a few cents off of each gallon of gas. It used to be a weekend ritiual - go to the Delta Sonic, fill up the car, and get the inside and outside of the car done. Now that I don't drive nearly as much for work, I still manage to make it here at least once or twice a week to get the exterior of the car done. Their exterior wash does a pretty decent job as long as your car doesn't look like it hasn't been washed in two years. The unlimited plan is where it's at, especially if you live close or travel to other areas where they have a Delta Sonic. Not only can you get your car washed once a day, but if you have the unlimited plan, there's a special lane that reads the RFID tag that they affix to your car that allows you to go through the line with no human interaction. On those slightly warmer winter days, this saves you HOURS of waiting. The attended lines are generally backed up 10-12 (sometimes longer) deep, but you just cruise on past and get in and out in minutes. I am also a big fan of the 10 minute interior. They run your car through their conveyor belt and a crew of car wash techs vacuum your interior, clean the windows, wipe down the dash, clean your floor mats, apply tire dressing, toss out any obvious trash, and give you an air freshener. They then pull your car out and one of the techs wipe down the exterior. You get back a car that looks great for the effort and price involved. The 10 minute interior is also a great deal, especially if you have the unlimited plan or if you can get in on a "Buy 2 get one free" deal that they run a couple of times a year. If you can get the B2G1 deal, you essentially get 6 months of interiors for $30 at the time of this writing, as they give you another free interior cleaning within 30 days. They also offer some advanced "quick" detailing services that you can add on to your interior for between $30 and $35 - 3 month wax, interior shampoo, leather conditioning, etc.. Protip: If you want to get any of the advanced quick detail services, go when it's slow (i.e. midday on a weekday, early in the morning, later on a Sunday) - you can usually get them to drop the price to $20 on most of the services. I've also gotten a full detail from here and they did an excellent job with that as well. My car came back looking like it came from the showroom. There's also free vacuums on the north entrance side if you want to simply vacuum your car out yourself - no purchase required. I can't say enough good things about this place. I recommend it to everyone who asks and even some that don't! read more

Very disappointed with what I got for a $37 car wash that I could got somewhere else for 25 and done better. Got the "super kiss" wash, 15, and added the interior for 20 something. Did not get the glasses cleaned inside. Had to insist to get the break and accelerator pedal cleaned. Vacuum missed more that a few spots, same with the front grill. Dust in many corners was ignored. I will not come back. Delta sonic it's easily the most expensive car wash around so you must expect superior service. In this location I highly doubt that there was anyone over 21. You could see that they were all doing the least amount of work they could get away with. There was a lot of talking and standing around between the team members. When I gave them my car at the entrance of the cleaning bay there were easily 6 kids congregated around the cashier. All chatting. I could not see a manager managing anywhere. Very, very dissatisfied. I can not recommend this place. Don't take your car there. You will waste your money. read more

I recently came here to get some detail servicing to my car. I was a little hesitant at first because of the reviews but I decided to go anyway. I started with the buy one car wash get a second one free, and then I paid for the 15 minute interior cleaning. But I needed more because my car is filthy, so I paid for a steam clean sanitation and a vinyl treatment. They told me it would be about 35 to 45 minutes which was no problem, it ended up being an hour still fine. The guy who came and got me was the same guy who cleaned my car his name is DOM LEO! He did such a great job!! He payed so much attention to detail and it was just so clean!!!!! I was so happy with how he did that in writing a review mainly on him! I highly recommended him. BEWARE of this Delta Sonic Detail Center in Joliet First of all, I myself had gone here a few months back and got the $120 detail job done on my vehicle . I had left change in the car and didn't think much about it when I dropped my vehicle off . I just assumed they'd place any left change in a bag and give it back . When I picked up my car my change was missing . I spoke to the manager at the time who apologized and gave me a free car wash card. Today my husband dropped off his vehicle for service and his money was missing as well when he picked up his vehicle . My husband spoke to the manager today who seemed less than sympathetic and uninterested in theft going on at this location.
