One of the only restaurants in the area so prepare for a wait, and there isn't much parking. We had to park at the museum down the street and walk. Our server was great and was doing her best to keep up. Food and appetizers came out fairly quickly for how packed it was (35 min wait on a Saturday night), definitely try the crab puppies! I got the Jackson Creek Boil and I was wowed! It was cooked to perfection and the seasoning was just right. The andouille sausage was some of the best I've ever had. Key lime pie was just okay. I got a half dozen oysters too which were lovely. Lovely view of the marina, just be careful where you park! Also be warned, they do sell out of items. They were out of rockfish when I arrived, and while I was eating, they ran out of crab legs. Get there early! read more

Nice little spot attached to a local marina. Marina customers get all the close parking spots, we ended up in the overflow about 50 yards away. Not a big deal until we left in the dark, there is NO lighting to find our car. Service was pretty good, quick and with a smile - place was packed. Service is just a disaster. Period. Everything else is good for this level of restaurant. Food and drinks are fine- not gonna knock your socks off, but quality is aligned with expectations. Location is perfect- on the water with boats to look at. Heard some rumors that the owner of the property is trying to subvert the restaurant/tenant (for their own reasons, allegedly). No idea whether there's any truth to that, but if so, shame on the property owners. This spot could be a great addition to the Deltaville market, which doesn't have great dining options in general. read more

It was over an hour from when we ordered to when our food came and one entree came after we finished eating. No one paid attention to me trying to order at the bar window for 20 minutes and they filled my to go drink to the halfway mark. I asked the bartender to top off two drinks and she charged me an extra $11. They should've apologized for being so late. They should've comped something. They should pay attention to their customers and offer customer service. What a shame because the setting is beautiful and we were prepared to spend lots of money. read more

Spent a rainy Saturday afternoon hanging out at Deltaville Tap and Raw Bar. Sitting at the bar, we had a nice view of the water while we enjoyed the oyster raw bar, some other apps and a drink or two. Was really happy to see 3 Hands Oysters featured, a local favorite. Enjoyed good service and my husband ended up chatting with the head chef, exchanging food stories. We will definitely be back. read more

Yes it takes a long time to get your order in and yes the kitchen is often backed up by n food hold but bigger than that, the servers and manager are not friendly. It'd be one thing if the food was just slow but asking someone to take your order here is like you asked them to clean a toilet. Kitchen is super slow. Just ate here and it was slightly above average. I got the brunch burger and it was covered in oil and sauce making it hard to eat and it was subpar, my chocolate milk was okay and the tuna bites were yummy. We came here on a busy Friday night. The wait for a table was at least an hour. Luckily we spotted a fresh pair of stools at the bar, and were told we could have them. Service was fast and friendly. The fried shrimp and oysters were very good. The French fries were mediocre, definitely frozen and sitting under lamps for a while. Given the size of Deltaville, this is one of very few options for dinner, and they know it. If it wasn't for the price, I would give an extra star. Over $100 for two entrees, two beers and one marg. Meh... Hate to give a local place a not-great review...especially in the winter when they need the customers, but I have to be honest. The food was pretty mediocre. We do Sunday brunch with our friends most every Sunday. We always take a bottle of wine and prefer to take what we like to drink and pay the corkage fee. Here, that wasn't an option. So we had to choose from their (VERY) limited options, none of which any wine drinker would find very good. $25 for a $4bottle. That's OK, after all, it is a TAP HOUSE, as the bartender was sure to remind us. Still would've been nice to have a decent glass of red. The menu is quite extensive, with everything from raw bar options to sandwiches to specialty " boils ". For appetizers, our friends ordered the crab balls and the Hatteras Chowder, said it was just OK, the balls had minimal crab meat, the soup very salty. We got the fried mushrooms, portion was huge, and just like we remembered when they were served everywhere....very tasty! For our main meals, hubs ordered the Buffalo Bill sandwich, which he said was swimming in the sauce....which overpowered the chicken (breast). I had the soup and sandwich (pimento cheese) it was Ok, but I prefer my PimChz to be less mayonnaisey.. the red pepper soup was just OK, too, had globs of cheese throughout, bagged croutons, and wasn't very warm. Our friends ordered the Admiral's platter and the oysters Rockeller. The platter was mainly what seemed to be frozen fish/seafood (think Ms Paul's). The oysters Rockefeller looked a good size, but they were loaded with cheese and bacon jam. A twist that just didn't seem right. Lastly, the service was just OK. We had to flag the waitress down several times and to even get our check. At one point most of the waitstaff was outside, either smoking or visiting a puppy... We will try again, especially once the warm weather returns and we can sit outside (and can hopefully bring our dog). We will try more of the seafood offerings or sandwiches next time and stick to beer or sodas, as even the water was the local off-color, stinky stuff. And for all the mediocrity, the prices were way steep. And what's the 'service fee' that was added? All-in-all, based on the other reviews I've read here, best to probably go with lower expectations of the food ...or to just go for the beer. read more

First night we ate here, Kim was an absolute rock star. She should own, run and wait the place all the time and the food was delicious. This is the third time I've been, and each visit had been consistently great. The last visit I had the steamed shrimp (excellent) and a side of collard greens (outstanding). I truly hope they keep the collards as a side dish, they're really good. I've also had the tuna bites (very good), and my boyfriend has high praise for the fried flounder and the fish and chips. In my mind this was a five star review as the menu and venue all look great, but the marina blocked our access. I would love to leave that positive review for this restaurant as we were really looking forward to the oysters as appetizers and they had several tasty looking beers on tap and delicious looking entrees. Unfortunately, the marina out front changed hands and no longer allows boaters to access the restaurant by dinghy. We went to the public dock, but it would have meant a four mile walk round trip (due to water ways) or a $27 Uber that we would have needed to wait an hour for. Since we arrived to Jackson Creek by boat, a dinghy is our only vehicle. There were signs posted everywhere that the marina did not allow restaurant traffic. This prohibited our chance to not only enjoy what looks like a great restaurant, but also the local museum. In addition we cut our stay short because we just didn't feel welcome. If any residents of Jackson Creek see this, perhaps you could start a water taxi service or encourage the marina to be a bit more welcoming. The restaurant lost what would have easily topped a $100 meal, the museum lost patronage, and we would have also provisioned at the local grocery. It would be great if the local marina would support the local businesses rather than blocking access to them. read more

Fun little place to stop in if you are ever that way. Just don't be in any hurry for anything. The food was good and well prepared. The view and location were good. The service was struggling and sounds as if thats the norm. Didn't affect me too much as i wasn't in a hurry and went to the walk up bar outside for my own drinks. We have been to the restaurant several times and it had been great. Employees have always been great especially Missy! She is our favorite and goes above and beyond... Tonight I called on the way to the restaurant asking if I could make a reservation I was told they do not do reservations. Told me it was about a 45min at the moment. 10 mins later we arrive and was told it was an hour wait: We said okay; and waited due to the past experience. 1.5 hours go by and we still were not seated, and we were told the owner had called in and said he needed a table for a party of 10.. So we waited 2 hours before we got seated just so the owner could be seated and have his table. As a business owner myself, very unprofessional as customers should come first... Very frustrating seeing the owner and his guest getting served before the customer. Even more disturbing is seeing the owner go up to another male customer and kiss him. The food, sans the crab puppies was awful. Extremely overpriced for what amounts to Captain D's frozen seafood. Our poor kids were served what was supposed to be macaroni and cheese but looked and tasted more like cheese dip with macaroni lightly dispersed within. We dined here on 6/14/20. Everyone in our party enjoyed their meal. Crab puppies were delicious and our 6 year old picky eater consumed the majority of the order. Steamed shrimp were jumbo, steamed and seasoned perfectly Crab cake sandwich was great as well, not fried, light and full of crab.
