Requested a quote online. Received an email confirmation that a limo was available for the date and time we were inquiring about. Contacted the company via phone to confirm limo availability and to book it. Mike said he needed to check to see if one was still available as they move fast. He was supposed to call me back in a few minutes to let me know if the limo was or was not available. Never heard back. I would not recommend this company. This isn't costumer service and after reading reviews, I think we escaped a potential disaster. read more

I would give this company zero stars if possible! First of all the driver was late. The limo was older and well worn and a dirty rug, but we had hired them for a 4 hour narrated tour for our out of town guests who wanted to see up-scale homes in Beverly Hills, Bel Aire etc. They are building a home on the East Coast and wanted to see CA style homes. To make a very long story short, it was 95+ degrees that day and the Limo had no AC and the driver knew it did not have Freon. As we drove the Limo kept blowing hot air and it was getting hotter by the minute. Complaining to the driver was useless as he ignored us. Driving through the city we were stuck in the limo unless we wanted to get out and walk. We had to put the windows down in order not to overheat and pass out. My friend was feeling sick from the heat. When we passed a park we told the driver to stop and got out for 45 minutes to cool down and dry off. Our clothing was wet from sweating! Forget looking nice for dinner at an LA restaurant later that day. Dave was no tour guide and never narrated anything or anywhere that we were passing even though he had a PA system but spent most of his time with his ear buds in and on his cell. No wonder he ignored our requests! Getting out early from that limo was the best part of the day! Our friends had brought a bag with an extra pair of shoes, some snacks, and personal belongings. When we got out Dave grabbed her bag which my friend thought was a gesture to help her but then Dave rummaged through the bag as if she had stolen something. She was really upset he dug through her personal items. Dave obviously did not want to be there that day and his attitude showed! Beware of Deluxe Limo and Transportation! I feel compelled to leave a review because of all these negative reviews. I voiced my concerns with Mike, the owner, when setting up the limo service for 17 of us to go to Malibu from Santa Monica (round trip) for 6 hours at a way below market rate of ~$420. The reviews were my main concern. He made a great point that he has been in business for many years and despite all the negative reviews he has been able to be a successful business - I get it. The driver, Roger, was on time, courteous and very friendly. We had absolutely zero issues and he was prompt to pick us up too. We called deluxe limo last minute for a bachelorete party. They were very accommodating and gave us a good deal on really short notice. The day of the service the driver Wayne came on time and waited for all of us to be ready to leave. One girl was 30 min late and he was very patient with us. Would never use this limo company again. When I booked the hummer limo I specifically asked Mike if it had a DVD player and he assured me it does. When the limo arrived the DVD player didn't work. I called Mike who stated that he never told me the DVD player worked and that no one uses DVD anymore !?! On top of that the limo was pretty dirty on the inside with hair and worn out carpet and very dusty around the bar. Mike is as about as shady as the condition of his limo. He waited patiently for the last few photos to be taken before taking our kids off to prom, more than an hour from our home. It was a relief, as a parent to entrust our twins and their friends to such professionals. I knew they would arrive safely and on time. And, they did. If I could have left zero stars I would have. We had a complicated booking. 3 stops to pick up a total of 8 people. The price was good and we had used this service once before for an airport drop off. That all went fine. Except that the limo was dirty and smelled like dirty feet. That's for starters. When I booked with Mike I told him it was my birthday and we wanted to celebrate. Mike said it would be a full bar and we could request anything we might want. Called back a few days later to request a certain whiskey and was told that they didn't provide that. Oookay. So once they had my credit card, it was a different deal. It was obvious that the limo had just come off another trip and had not been cleaned. Glasses were dirty. But given the fact that there were no real drinks in the limo that ended up not being a problem. There was one regular soda pop, it was open and it had leaked all over the cooler. There were 3 diet sodas which no one in the car drinks. 4 sodas for 8 people. One open. I think there were like 3 beers. Some water bottles in the car, most of which were sticky from the soda. There was a bottle of champagne as promised but not enough glasses so we had to share. We called and Mike gave me a hard time about the situation with the limo. Finally he agreed to have the driver go to a liquor store and buy a six pack. What a sport. We thought the driver would pick that up while we were at dinner and the show. Nope, he drove right past the freeway to get to some liquor store. We still had another group to pick up and dinner reservations to make. We told him we didn't have time to do it right then. The driver was horrible - rude and a bad driver. At one point he stopped so short that we all ended up on top of each other near the partition window. On the way home he drove so slowly you could tell he was trying to get another hour out of us. He kept taking the wrong route. Didn't know that the 405 would be closed at a certain hour that night, and had to use side streets. I wouldn't pay the extra hour. When I talked to Mike about the condition of the car, he kept asking me "What do you think, a limo is a bar?" This is the guy who assured me that the bar would be fully stocked and we could get our drink on. Mike told me that I was a horrible customer and was pushy and he didn't want my business. I said that wouldn't be a problem. I forbade him to use my credit card to charge the extra hour. And we left each other's lives. It was a real "you get what you pay for" situation. read more

Mike the owner took a week to send confirmation he is very dishonest And then escalade that showed up broke down and stranded all the kids at a gas station two miles from original pick up. He makes an offer and once you decide to do business with him he decides to retract it but doesn't even have the common courtesy to let you know. Did not respond to my email or call. I know I didn't have the wrong email address since we corresponded through emails prior to him disappearing off the face of the earth. I used Deluxe Limo to take a group of about 10 people to TAO on New Year's Eve in a van. No easy task, but the price was doable and the driver got us there faster than expected. The guy I spoke with when making arrangements (owner or manager, I assume) offered me the same rate on the way back, but I declined, since we weren't sure what time we'd be leaving/if we would all leave together. After the event, most of the group went to an afterparty, but I couldn't hang and wanted to bounce, along with 2 others from the group. We were competing with every raver in LA for cabs, and after trying for about 45 mins, I figured I'd call the driver from Deluxe to see if they had a smaller car available that they could dispatch to us. The driver said he was actually around the corner with the van he dropped us off in. He had a group in the van that he had to drop off about 45 minutes in the opposite direction of my house, but he would take us for a lower price than what he charged on the way there. Yay! He got us home (eventually) and I thought I would be writing Deluxe Limo a 5 star review, until the next day. At about noon on New Year's Day, I got a call from the owner/manager I had made the arrangements with and he started questioning me about how much I had paid to be taken home the night before. When I told him, he scolded me, saying I was supposed to pay the same rate for the ride back with that van. I explained that I had called to see if there was a car available and the driver offered to take us for a lower price. He then continued to yell, accusing me of taking advantage of the driver. After trying to explain that I wouldn't have taken the ride for only 3 people if it cost the same as it did for 10, especially since there was another group in the van, going to a different city, he stopped me, saying that he didn't know there was another group in the car. Instead of apologizing, like I thought he would, he yelled even more, saying I should have told him there were more people in the car, and that this was still somehow my fault. At that point, I just hung up. I understand why at first he may have thought I was taking advantage of the driver who didn't know how much I was quoted over the phone, but after explaining what happened, he still treated me like I did something wrong. He was overly aggressive and altogether unpleasant to deal with. I'd rather pay a little more and not be spoken to like I'm a criminal. read more

Would not recommend this company at all. Long story short is that we were meant to go on tour of LA but after the limo overheated first up and then broke some sort of shock absorber - thankfully at low speed- would hate to think what would of happened if it had been on the freeway (considering it only had seatbelts for 8 people and we had asked for a limo for 10 people). We then wasted hours waiting for the poor driver to try and contact his boss, who chooses to run his business 7 days but is not available to fix problems. We were assured we would not be charged for this tour - which was the only compensation for a crap day - but my family was charged $360 and had to make numerous calls and then received a refund for only $200. Totally not acceptable. There is certainly nothing deluxe about this company, it's limos or its customer service. Avoid at all costs. The response from mike at deluxe limos is clearly wrong. Unless you'd be happy with a 3 and a half hour tour of the dog park looking at the Hollywood sign for $160 and the the waste of your only free day to see LA!! Yes they did have to pay another company to take us home - but who's fault is that? I will now be reviewing your company on all Australian travel forums. I work for a non-profit and we have used this company three times. The first experience was ok but the next two experiences not so much. For my first trip the van must have been from the early nineties. In addition it was dirty, torn vinyl seats, very uneasy on the eyes. I would say use a different company if you can. The owner is a man with a lot of potential. He seems to not value manners and customer service, at least from my observation. I saw him provoke a customer rather than try and appease him. You would think that an owner would take responsibility and try to make a situation better. The vehicles are old and leave much to be desired. I was praying the vehicle would make it to the destination without breaking down. The third and hopefully last time we used DeluxeLimos was on April 13, 2015. WE got transported from high desert to Redlands. The air conditioner did not work in the 14 passenger van. We had elderly, young children, and babies in the vehicle. Come on!!! We live in So Cal. UPDATE!!! (4/16/18) The manager messaged me two days ago- REALLY!!! 3 YEARS AFTER I POSTED THE REVIEW!!! Stating that they had no record of my services. I replied that i have 3 invoices in my file and can email them on request. They may have updated their fleet recently but my reviews are from 3 years ago. Also the owner may have taken some classes and read some books on customer service and respect. So you never know Deluxe Lime could be great. This company might be better for you if you were using it more in the winter. I went with my family on a ride in a limo to see a tour of Hollywood hills. We were almost to our next stop when our driver pulled over. He said "The Limo Is Over Heating I Will Get Us Another one". We all were fine with it as we were already cooking in this limo. We waited about a hour. The limo came and it was a taller one that was higher off the ground. My grandpa has MS so we had to lift him in. This 2nd limo had A/C problems as well. We had to get home quick for my grandpa because of his MS. This limo had us all sweating majorly. So as you can tell we had air conditioning problems in both of the limos. You should probably also make sure you know how to work the air too. read more

Booked Deluxe yesterday at the last minute. Was very worried about the driver getting to Calabasas on a Friday with the traffic. The driver actually showed up 15-minutes early. Booked for the 8-hour special ($55/ hour plus 20% tip) and ended up using them for 9 and a half hours. Even the extra time was charged at the low rate. Pleasantly surprised by the service, the driver and the low cost. The driver (David) was very professional and always waiting for us at the multiple stops we made a long the way. The stretch limo, while a little old looking on the outside, was very clean and nice inside, with the usual glassware (not plastic) water, sodas and hard booze. I have never seen such incompetency, while price is important to everyone, if you can't rely on the companies services the price is a mute point. I would not recommend this company to anyone. I hired this company to take 6 of us on a Hollywood tour. They picked us on time. The limo had 3 waters, some sodas, beer and glass containers had less than an oz each of liquor. The speaker in the back never worked as he was speaking about Hollywood as we were touring we never heard a word of it. We made two three stops to get out and site see. The last stop was The Grove where we had lunch and informed the driver we would be out for lunch and meet him back at 2pm. We got back to the limo it was very hot outside which meant it was even hotter inside the black limo. He opened the door let us in and walked around to the drivers side all the while he was talking on his phone. He continued to talk on his phone while we were inside with no ac. I got out of the limo as it was well over 100 inside and asked him to turn on the ac. He continued his conversation outside. The AC inside never cooled the limo for the entire rest of the tour. We asked him to stop for ice as all the drinks were very hot. We had to ask him again to stop for ice. I think if he knew we were coming back at 2pm he should of turned on the AC a few minutes before and cooled it down for his customers as it was a very hot day. He also should of restocked the ice while we were out so we could of enjoyed a cold beverage as it was very hot that day. Or at the very least carry a cooler in his trunk with extra ice. Instead he had to leave us in the Limo and run into a store to get ice after we begged him several times. The places he showed us were nice. We would of loved to hear about them also as the small speaker he was using was not working he kept playing with it while driving.
