Catered a party for 40. Food was great (lasagna, cheese ravioli, salads, and breadsticks) were all winners. Went into party with low expectations, but DeMatteo's knocked it out of the park. I understand it's mostly takeout and the small restroom is in the front lobby, but it was beyond disgusting. We spent $75 on 4 pizzas. I love a good thin crust, crisp, flaky and flavorful. This thin crust was horrible! It was like eating pizza toppings on part of the box. It was dry , tough, and flavorless. UPDATE: After leaving this review Bob emailed me with his phone number to remedy the situation. He offered to remake the pizzas using their regular dough, made thin, rather than the purchased pre-made thin crusts that we got last night. The resulting pizzas were 100% better. Thin crust with a slight raised, nicely browned edge. It was great! We did end up picking it up from their other location on Magnolia at Arlington (because it's closer to the house). The only reason we ordered from the Van Buren location is because we had errands in that area. read more

I ended up getting the Dematteos supreme pizza with Pepperoni, Canadian bacon, onions, green peppers and sausage, no olives for me! The pizza was really good and full of flavor. Fresh ingredients for sure and even the crust was amazing! 15 minutes to get my pizza. Seem like they get a lot of phone orders which is good. They have chicken wings and boneless. No inside eating due to covid so everything is to go! Great customer service. I want to try the chocolate chip pizza cookie and a pasta dish. They have ice cream inside kind of like a 31 flavor setup with about 10 flavors! Two locations so make sure you're ordering from the correct location if doing it online. read more
