When we first moved to Woodcrest, we enjoyed trying all the many different pizza places in the area. Pizza is my favorite food so I loved spreading the love. However, once Dematteo's opened, it became the only place we will order pizza. Everything I've ever ordered has been amazing. On Wednesday, use the code "webday" when ordering online and you get half off large and extra large pizzas. I would l love to try some of their other menu items, but the pizza is so good, I don't want to miss out. I am also very impressed with all the employees. The majority of them are teenagers/college age students. They are all extremely respectful and attentive. The food is very tasty the service was good. The place was pretty dead when I picked up but they were friendly. The pizza is yummy but for some reason not very filling (maybe the crust wasn't as thick as it could have been). We ordered a large for 2 adults and a toddler which usually gives us leftovers and we finished it quick hungry for more. I've been going here since like 1992. I was really excited when they opened the Van Buren store. I've really been trying to support them through COVID. But every time I go in there someone is wearing the mask with it hanging off their chin and you can see their mouth. I try to just roll my eyes and ignore it. But this last time on Jan 10, the guy that takes the pizza off the oven and boxes it didn't even have a mask anywhere near him. It's not like his nose was sticking out or he was wearing it like a chin strap. He DIDN'T HAVE a mask to even wear. And he touched, cut, and boxed every single pizza. That's it.
