We ordered the Pomme Pilot crepe and it was delicious! Tasted just like an apple pie. The crepe was fresh and the apples were sweet and flavourful. The vanilla ice cream was the perfect pairing. The service was excellent. We were seated and had our order taken immediately. Definitely one of our favourite demetres location.
Decided to give this place a visit for a nostalgic dessert hang after years. Everything is pretty much the same in terms of vibes, service, and portions. Their menu has remained the same, but this time around I noticed a few trendy items which was fun. They also have 4 different kinds of waffles to choose from too -- from Belgian, liege, and croffle. I ordered their new ube flavour (not sure if this is a limited time offering) croffle. I was so glad I got the croffle because I really enjoyed the chewy texture. I tried my friend's liege and it was really heavy and had a bit more of a savoury taste. The ice cream scoops they give are also huge. The price is slightly higher, I guess it's the inflation after all these years... after tax and tip the one waffle cost me almost $30 which to me is insane for dessert. Overall their stuff still hits the spot.. very fun selection of flavours and a cute vibe for a dessert hangout. We came shortly after a pretty big dinner which was our first mistake. Make sure to come hungry because their waffles are huge and filling.
It's been ages since I came back here. The service was great; we were always asked if everything was good or if we needed anything. I have to say, no matter what time, this place is busy and crowded with people. Good thing we were able to be seated. We ordered two different desserts to try. I must say that both desserts were delicious, but the Ube one was much better. The matcha one with the white chocolate sauce made it a bit too sweet, in my opinion. You have to try it for yourself to see, as everyone's taste buds are different. Also, even though it was crowded with people, it wasn't loud, and we were able to talk amongst ourselves. Even when I had my baby there, the noise level was decent.
Always a great time to be at demetres! We went after watching a movie with two other people. On the outside, they had a lot of empty tables but when we arrived, there was a long long waiting. Not sure exactly why? We waited probably about 20 minutes and when we got inside, there were still empty tables so not sure what was happening there. Decor was alright, there's an open kitchen and you can see the staff making your waffles and crepes right there. We ordered the fudge waffle and it did not disappoint - fudgey, gooey and paired perfectly well with the warm waffle. It was a great complement to the salty and buttery popcorn we had had during the movie.
the service is okay and we didnt have to wait long probably because we went there @ 10pm. Since it's fairly new, the place looks neat and clean. But let's talk about the desserts... $22.5 for Belgian waffle $17.5 for Parfait Was the price justifiable? Hmm... no, i dont think so. I dont think a $56 bill is justifiable with risking my sugar levels in this cafe. Will I go back again? If im a teen and dont care about i eat and how much money I spend, probably yes but now that I know better, No. Just a true and honest review for this chain.
Opened late night and as we were debating which dessert place to go, so glad to have stumbled upon Demetres! We saw it full of people at 10:30pm and knew we had to try especially when we saw "best ice cream ever" We got the crepe w/ banana and Dulce ice cream! LIFECHANGING Their menu was extremely cute and had so many different flavors! Not ordering the whole menu was difficult. Must try if you're in downtown Markham!
Demetres is definitely a very delicious dessert spot, but we've noticed that the prices have increased quite drastically over the years. With that being said, the crepes are still VERY delicious, especially with the homemade ice cream. We ordered the Apple Pom crepe to share, and it satisfied our sweet tooth craving. It was very busy and chaotic inside when we went (around 10pm on a weekday night), and only one server was on the floor, so service was a bit slow in terms of placing our orders and getting the bill. However, the space inside is huge and can definitely fit lots of people, and is also very family friendly.
The desserts are SERIOUSLY SO SWEET. Neither my friend nor I could finish what we ordered because the sweetness became a little intolerable. I can see how that can appealing for some people though! The ice cream was very creamy and rich. The brownie was pure sugar though. I'll likely come back in the future when I am craving something very sweet!
The best part of fall? Cozying up with something sweet and indulgent! Demotes Fall Menu is something I tried and it's packed with warm, comforting flavors that capture the essence of the season. Every seasonal menu is designed by local Toronto artists !!! My favorite was their Fashionably Latte Belgian Waffle with hazelnuts. I love their ice creams and Thats why I went here. One of the best dessert spots in the GTA. The waffles are to die for, I had the moo lala. The server was kind and prompt, they were busier and so it did take a bit of time for us to receive the food, but my friend and I were chatting so the timing of everything was great. Presentation was on point, very instagram worthy. The quality of the dessert as mentioned was excellent, probably my go to dessert spot in the GTA.
We frequently dine at this location, but tonight we decided to order from Uber Eats for the first time. We tried the Splitsonian French crepe, and unfortunately, it didn't meet expectations. The banana was unripe and very bitter, which was disappointing since the menu only offered two fruit options: banana and strawberries. How could they serve unripe fruit? There wasn't enough Nutella to balance out the bitterness, and I didn't enjoy it at all. I called Demetres to express my concern, and the response was less than helpful. The staff apologized, and after waiting for any further assistance, I was told they would inform the kitchen staff and advised me to contact Uber directly about my dissatisfaction. The call ended abruptly without any meaningful resolution.
They say a good salesman can sell ice to an eskimo. In this case, sell ice cream to Canadians while it's freezing and snowing outside. This place is a favorite everytime we visit this area. The service is great and the food is delightful. The kids love it and so do we. I imagine this gets packed in the summer.
From a friend's recommendation and it was worth going to. Parking - small parking lot available near by but additional parking available going up to locations parkade. Not meter parking in the parking area Ambience - clean, colourful, great atmosphere Service - only one person working for everything on a Thursday I went with my family but the service was still great. The person was tentative with smile and readily available. Food - dessert was . Had the following *Choc This Way - ice cream in a waffle cone with chocolate brownie and dark chocolate sauce *Split Personality - banana split with 4 different flavours of ice cream and the works *Earl Grey Raspberry - earl grey tea base with swirls of raspberry jam and crunchy earl grey streusel Would recommend and go back again.

We were scouting for dessert place after dinner and we stumbled onto this place. Demetres brand brings back a lot of memories during high school/university time. So we parked and walked right in, this Demetres is very well lit and clean. So far so good. We sat down and ordered something quick, as we were both hungry. So the choice is obvious, go with waffle :) Not long after our dessert arrived and this thing is huge! We devoured this thing quickly. Brings back good memories, but I believe both of us agreed that we are pass this stage. read more

It's been awhile since I have stepped foot in a Demetres but I had to relive those memories as this specific location just because its aesthetics are beautiful and so insta worthy! Blush - Crepe $19.75 Strawberry Royale Ice Cream, Fresh Strawberries, and Belgian White Chocolate Sauce. Unbrulevable Waffle $19.75 Dulce and Banana Ice Cream, Brûléed Bananas, Praline Croquant, and Butter Caramel Sauce. We were quickly seated at a table with the menu, but we waited for a long time before the server came by to take our order. We did not get cups of water until a long time afterward, maybe because it was quite busy in the restaurant. We got the Splitsonian French Crepe, and it was nicely made with fresh strawberries, banana, Nutella, and topped with a huge scoop of vanilla ice cream. It's our first time to visit demetres. There were so many choices so we asked the waiter for his recommendations. As we don't like desserts which are too sweet, he recommended splitsonian waffle with mango ice-cream for us. It is definitely the best recommendation- the waffle looked so pretty and colourful with a balance of sweet and sour. The chocolate had a nutty and rich flavour, making the waffle and fruit tasted sooo good! And the mango ice cream was natural with no added sugar, so we can taste the real mango flavour! Also the environment was so great. We visited on weekday evening so it was a bit quiet. We can enjoy our dessert time. Price was a little bit high good for dating. Today we shared a lovely waffle at Demetres downtown Markham and had a lovely experience. We were promptly greeted by a cheery and friendly waitress who was quick to bring us a couple of waters while waiting on us to decide on our dessert. We finally settled on the Pomme Pilot in the Liege Waffle and it did not disappoint. Upon receipt, we noticed that the portion was extremely generous - the apple crisp topping and the cream scoop itself were both very large! The waffle was perfectly done and paired wonderfully with the apples, and the ice cream provided a nice relief from the rich flavors. We left full and very pleased. I came here with a friend on a Friday evening. It was very busy at the restaurant but we were fortunate to be able to be seated rather quickly. The restaurant is gorgeous and perfect for Instagram photos! The service was a bit of a let down. I don't know if it was because it was busy, but our server was cold and rude. We felt judged when we made our orders, even though we ordered a lot, and it was pretty hard to flag the waiter down when we needed more water or the cheque. He didn't seem very pleased when I asked for a to go container either. The food made up for the service though. The Severus Shake was perfectly creamy and sweet. My friend loves their crepes and always orders them whenever she is in the area. Parking is a breeze at this location since there is a parking lot with a ton of empty spots nearby. It is a bit more annoying to get to this area from Toronto as you will need to transfer from the TTC to YRT. read more

It's my first time trying dessert at this place, overall store decoration is nice and sweet, which giving a welcoming atmosphere. The service provided was satisfactory and patient. I ordered a Belgian Waffle with Strawberries and strawberry flavored ice cream on top, it is a delightful blend of sweet and tangy flavors, with the rich creaminess of ice cream complementing the crispy texture of the waffle. The fruity notes of the strawberries add a refreshing and juicy element, making each bite a delicious treat for my taste buds! read more
This was my first visit to this Markham location. I previously went to the one that was at East Beaver Creek before they closed down. Compared to the old location, there are a few changes. The menu size, options, and servings are greatly reduced. The prices however are greatly increased. The food is still good. read more

Demetres has done it again! The Belgian waffle was fantastic, as I selected "the last straw", which consisted of vanilla ice cream and strawberry coulis! The golden waffle was great and it melted in my mouth instantly. The strawberry brings a nice tartness to the whole meal! The waffle presentation was stunning and the amount of ice cream put on top was the cherry on top! Moreover, the friendly and efficient customer service enhances the overall dining experience. read more

I visited on a Tuesday evening, it was pretty quiet at this location. One off putting sight was the sofa seating at the booth was quite dirty. It was dusty mixed with food debris, and had pieces of hair stuck in the crevices. The food was otherwise fantastic. I ordered the crepe with strawberry icecream - icecream was a substantial scoop, and the crepe was light and fluffy that complimented the icecream well. Overall service was decent, no complaints. read more
This Demetres used to be located near East Beaver Creek in Richmond Hill and they made a good decision relocating here in Downtown Markham! The place is always popping on weekends and average wait times are usually at least an hour. The good news is you can add yourself to their waitlist and you'll receive a text when your table is ready so you can walk around the area while you're waiting. The decor in the restaurant is absolutely stunning and is very appealing from the outside. I've walked by on weekdays and there are even customers eating inside in the afternoon! The presentation of the food is always up to par and eating here is great for any occasion. Portions are pretty big so if you are going with a group, I would recommend splitting/sharing rather than getting one waffle/crepe for yourself! I love their Pomme Pilot! read more

Very cute location, and much bigger than the previous Demetres I've been too. Food was amazing, tried the Face pomme cheesecake, and previously tried the red velvet cake! Portions are huge though so you might want to consider splitting a dish with someone! read more

I had a lovely experience at this location. The hostess/server was very pleasant, interpersonal and hospitable. It felt like I was dining at a friend's home. I ordered the Looking Pine on French crepe. The presentation was divine and absolutely mouthwatering. I loved the caramelized banana that was sprinkled in cinnamon. The scoop of pineapple sorbet was also nice and light. I felt very good indulging in this dessert today! read more

Came here on a Monday night after dinner for a date night dessert. Ordered a Waffle Splitsonian to share. Food quality: Really good! The waffle was not dense, fluffy, and was freshly made. The ice cream was Vanilla bean with a hint of honey. The ice cream wasn't too sweet and compliments the fresh fruits really well. The ice cream portion was huge! Definitely shareable between two people. Food presentation: Food came really nice and fresh. The waffle was still warm. The plate was nicely decorated with icing sugar and Nutella, not too much of either decoration and a nice balance between the two. Customer service: Even though it was a Monday night, there were a small handful of people at the store. Service was prompt and attentive. We were seated immediately upon entering! My go to place for ice cream waffles! I love the decor and vibe of this place, it is beautifully decorated with a pink and yellow floral theme. I was seated quickly and I got served water right away. Menu is always updated seasonally. I opted for the tongue depressor Belgian waffle to share as portions are big. The waffle arrived quickly and it looked as good as the description. The Cocoa Chanel ice cream was rich and decadent but the waffle was a bit soggy for my liking. Overall, great food and attentive service! read more

We were quickly greeted and seated upon arrival. We ordered the Pretty In Pink on a Liege Waffle. A softball of pink strawberry ice cream which left no doubt that it was homemade from real cream and strawberries. Set beside the best waffle with it's hard caramel coating and a generous mound of fresh strawberries. From the unique caramel waffle, to the delicious ice cream until the final whole red strawberry, it was delicious and we highly recommend. read more

I had a chocolate Crape called The Toung Despressor, and I must say this is for chocolate lovers! Fresh Crape topped with Chocolate Ice Cream with chunks of chocolate, brownie white chocolate chips topped with chocolate drizzle. Your chocolate craving will surely be satisfied with one! My experience today at Demetres was quiet nice. lets start with the service. given the time i went, the cafe was empty when I got there. even being the only customer there I find the service very professional and helpful. I ordered a tongue depressor on a French crepe. The desert was very delicious and the crepe was cooked fresh and taste as good as it smelled. the presentation on this dish was quiet nice also. the only negative I have is I find the price a little steep for a desert plate. with tax and services tips my bill came to $30. i find that would be my only door stopper for being a regular ice-cream muncher read more
I've always visited this location ever since they shut down the Beaver Creek location in Richmond Hill. Parking is a few steps away from the actual location, it was a bit confusing at first. Their service over the last few times I visited (before COVID) have always been average, but their dishes are consistently presented well and in big portions (I guess that's a Demetres thing). After Mar 2020 I've ordered from them a few times, including their 6 pint ice cream bundle. It's packaged well and comes with a cooler bag! The crepes are just not the same on take out as they are when it's hot and fresh when you dine-in. Last night I had an ice cream craving so I decided to do a last minute search on UberEats. Surprising to find them available on the list at 11:30PM! Ordered 2 ice cream pints (Honey Vanilla & Strawberry) & Chai Fall + Hot Couture drinks (too sweet, way different than dine-in). They had a promo that came with a few Banana & Dolce ice cream pint with orders over $30. Nice bonus! Order delivered within 40 minutes, and surprised to find an extra ice cream inside (Rocher), a little something on the house, now by far my FAVOURITE ice cream flavour. Will definitely order again the next time when I finish devouring my pints of ice cream! Cheers to outstanding service during the pandemic! read more

They changed the ingredients to cheap ingredients and also the price went up by $3. The strawberry ice cream taste is so artificial now plus it tasted like honey dew flavour instead of strawberry flavour. The sugar taste was also replaced by either stevia or aspartame which is so gross. I would never go to any Demetres ever again. It's very disappointing that the taste changed for the worst. read more
I remember going to the small cramped demetres @ east beaver creek. Heck, I remember going there well because I blame my freshman 15 (more like 25) on it because I used to go a few times a week. It's been 7-8 years since I stepped foot into demetres and normally I wouldn't but my sisters decided to take me here for early birthday celebrations. It is huge and beautiful. The decor is on point and happy, making young people crave sweets. Even with the huge space they have, there was still a 20 minute wait @ 10pm on a weeknight. Fucking summer and millennials. We waited anyway and we found that it was hectic in terms of understaffing the floor but nothing unmanageable. The menu although revised hasn't really changed. The same old good items were still on. I used to eat these whole waffles and crepes by myself- HOW??? We had the tongue depressor + the big apple. The big apple definitely upgraded - the pie looks AMAZING with a huge scoop of honey vanilla ice cream on the side. Jeeeez. Th tongue depressor, although heavenly after the first 2 bites turned "too much" after and definitely a chocolate overdose. It was so sweet and I have no idea how people eat this whole thing. A few bites of each dish and I had my sugar craving satisfied for the month. Honestly, if you're a sweets and dessert person, this is your spot, dawg. There's also a gym next door if you want to do this guilt free. Win! read more

Ordered dessert via UberEats and went to pick it up. I was impressed with the packaging! We ordered a crepe as well as a Belgian waffle, both items were packaged separately from the ice cream so they didn't get soggy. The ice cream came in sealed cups, portioned generously! Because we ordered on UberEats, there was a deal to get a free pint of ice cream if we spent over $30! Haven't tried this yet, but the pints usually sell for $10 on their own. To sweeten the deal even more, they added an extra waffle for us on the house! Everything we ordered held up just fine for take out. We don't live too far so the ice cream was still good and frozen after transport. Been here a few times pre-covid and they were always pretty busy but also pretty consistent. Fruit was fresh and the actual dessert was very good! This place will always be one of my favourite go-to's for yummy desserts. read more

A friend and I popped into Demetre's for something sweet after a late lunch. It was very spacious, with high ceilings, and very colourful. It has a very playful ambiance. There are lots of choices on the menu if dessert is what you're looking for. We chose to share a waffle, topped with honey vanilla ice cream, Nutella, fresh strawberries and bananas. It was huge, too much for one, but perfect for sharing, unless you're starving. This was a good choice. It tasted good. It wasn't exactly cheap so you may want to share that bill also. Just sayin'... Kid free date with my hubby. We went out for brunch and after a couple of hours of running errands, my hubby suggested we stop in for some dessert at Demetres in Downtown Markham. I love the variety of restaurants in this part of Markham, there is so much to choose from, i just which it wasn't overrun with condos! Pleasant surprise when we found out a Demetres opened here after they closed the one on East Beaver Creek in Richmond Hill. I haven't been to a (Cafe) Demetres since frequenting the ones on the Danforth & East Beaver Creek (Richmond Hill). I couldn't recall any one dessert of theirs that stood out or was a fav. I sneaked a quick look at their menu online and a few items looked good so we headed over. Conveniently located across the street from some great restaurants & the Markham VIP Theatres on Enterprise Boulevard. This is a nice cozy place to stop in for a coffee, dessert or both! We were seated fairly quickly, it was only 1/4 full when we arrived in the middle of the afternoon. Service was quick & friendly. It really was the dessert that left me underwhelmed. It wasn't until i ordered and received my dessert did the server mention that next time i could customize my selection!? Also, several items in their menu there weren't in the online selections, so as i write this i have no reference to the name of the item i had because it's not even on their website. My dessert ($14) had 2 thin crepes with a HUGE heaping pile of milk chocolate ice cream, a streak of chocolate sauce on the plate (which was visually unappealing) and a bunch of mushy, sour strawberries. I really didn't care for the overly sweet chocolate ice cream. It was way too sweet for me and i ended up only eating the 2 crepes and a few spoons of ice cream. With crepes so small & thin, this should've been 3 crepes, 1 scoop (not 4) of dark chocolate ice cream, strawberries & chocolate sauce drizzled over it. That would've won me over in a heartbeat! My hubby had the Summertime Fatness ($12) - this was huge too! Coco Chanel Ice Cream (dark chocolate ice cream and exactly what my dessert needed!), brownies, white chocolate sauce & french dark chocolate sauces topped with whipped cream. He enjoyed it, but couldn't even finish 1/4 of it! Had we known how large the desserts were, we never would've ordered 2. Sharing is best here as their portions are really big. Would i try them out again? Sure, but i will make sure to customize my order - hopefully a $14 dessert wont end up costing me $20! read more

A brand new Demetres opens in Downtown Markham right across from Cineplex! I love the different restaurant options in this area and Demetres dessert only menu is just different vs others! The interior of the cafe is spacious with really high ceiling! Love the bright colour themes and floral decor. It just screaming and popping even before my sugar high from all these sweets! Menu selection can be overwhelming but the price point and portion size is perfect for sharing. Splitsonian ($15.99) Waffles topped with Honey Vanilla Ice Cream, Strawberry, Banana and Nutella. It was beautiful presented. Though the combination is classical and simple elements which I probably would able to make one at home, it is different when you enjoyed that at as cafe with friend! The ice cream so rich and sweet, probably the highlight if the dessert. Americano served with a piece of biscotti which is a nice touch. Staff is laidback and we were served a coffee though we didn't order that. We did solve out the confusion. Since we were here during late afternoon, only a few tables were occupied so we have no issue with service or wait time. I might be back with a friend if I have craving for waffle or crepes after a movie. read more

It's probably one of the most consistent dessert chains I've been to. It's pretty good but the price has definitely taken its toll at this point. Waffles are great since the ice cream portion is generous, and the strawberries were very sweet. Got the winter special parfait but it unfortunately was disappointing as you get hit with a lot of ginger and spices, but nothing else to balance it out. We waited a bit over half an hour after ordering which we didn't mind until we noticed a table that ordered after us got their food first. Of note, that did not impact my rating today. I'd likely come back here if I'm craving some waffles. read more

One of many dessert restaurants in Downtown Markham. I ordered the Splitsonian Liege Waffle, which is banana, strawberries, Nutella, vanilla ice cream on a yeast-based waffle. The fruits looked and tasted really fresh, and the vanilla ice cream portion was enormous (see photo)! The waffle, however, wasn't anything interesting, was rather firm, and tasted a bit bland. The service wasn't fast nor efficient, and it took a while for me to order, and get my food, even with a reasonable amount of customers in the restaurant at the time. Overall, if you're free on time, and looking for a haute dessert in a restaurant an upscale feel to it, I'd recommend this spot. read more

This Demetres that opened up in the heart of Downtown Markham is SO CUTE and packed af. I was here Friday night around 9 and waited nearly 50 minutes to be seated and then another 30 mins for our food. Like other reviewers have mentioned, I saw many tables that either needed to be cleaned or empty...I guess they need to hire more people especially when their lineup is out the door. I opted to create my own crepe which included a choice of ice cream and 3 toppings and my cousin got one of the pre-made ones. I chose the ultra ripe mango sorbet (it tasted ultra ripe indeed ) with fresh strawberries, brownies, and strawberry coulis (taste like jam). The strawberry coulis actually didn't go well with the mango sorbet...it was quite bitter. So don't get the two together if you're planning to creat your own! The scoop of ice cream was MASSIVE. When you look at it carefully it looked like 3 scoops instead of 1, and when you look at the full crepe as a whole, it just looked very u proportional hahah but that's not something to complain/worry about. read more
I've been to a few Demetres locations (as evidenced by my belly), and this one is the prettiest, BY FAR! Give the designer of this place a medal! Just had some dessert delivered via Uber eats and the packaging for the delivery was perfect. We ordered the caramel brownie cheesecake and the chocolate fudge cake. I enjoyed the Carmel cheesecake. It is a large portion and I had some leftover for tomorrow. My son enjoyed the fudge cake. He said it was moist and very filling. Demetres is located across the Markham VIP Theaters. There aren't sidewalks to go directly across but it is not that long of a walk from the theater if you want to enjoy desserts/ coffee afterwards. The place is huge and very nicely decorated- it has a very happy/sweet atmosphere. However, even with the large seating, it took about thirty minutes after 10PM on a weekday night. Service was friendly and even though it was very busy, the waitress checked up on us every once in awhile. The orders also came relatively quickly. We saw the next table eating crepes and they recommended on sharing since they could not finish theirs on their own. After being here, I also recommend sharing the crepes. Their portions are huge (not worth the price) and the over sweetness would keep you from finishing it completely. The Last Straw features two thin crepes, Honey Vanilla Ice Cream, Fresh Strawberries and Strawberry Coulis. Out of all the ice creams, I think this was my favorite. Although it did not really taste like the description- I'm not sure if it is because it is a blend of honey and vanilla but I couldn't grasp either flavor- it was still uniquely good. Pomme Pilot features two thin crepes, White Chocolate Silk Ice Cream, Warm Oven-Baked Apple Crisp, Butter Caramel Sauce, Cinnamon Streusel. This was the desert I looked forward to the most because of the description but for its price, I was pretty disappointed regardless of how appetizing it looked. The apple crisp did not taste fresh (similar to canned apple pie filling) and the ice cream was ultra sweet and we couldn't finish it. The cinnamon streusel made up for this desert but overall, I wouldn't get this again. Katy Berry Sundae comes in a Waffle cone and features Strawberry Royale Ice Cream, Fresh Strawberries and Belgian White Chocolate Sauce. This was okay but not worth the $$$ price. I've been to another Demetres (Richmond Hill) and similarly, my experience was okay but I wouldn't come back unless my friends really wanted to. Everything was too sweet for me but if you are a sweets person, you would definitely enjoy it here. Note: Even if you are sharing deserts, I still think it is pretty pricey. read more

RATING (2/5): First off, yes definitely would recommend this place for desserts! However, this rating is based on the service received during my first visit (ever) to a Demetres. My friends and I waited an extremely long time for our DRINKS not desserts, but drinks. Our other friend received his dessert in an appropriate time span. However, considering we only ordered drinks I didn't expect it to take 45mins... I was very unimpressed. I sent my "Matcha heaven" or whatever it was called, back to the kitchen because you could not taste the matcha at all. I'm also not the person to complain or send things back, but I couldn't let this one go. Nor am I too sure where the naming of the drink came from, but it is nowhere near heavenly. I felt as though I was drinking steamed milk for $6. Not worth it. Do not recommend. Although, our waitress was kind about everything and I really didn't want to make measures worse for her. I appreciated her being patient with us and trying to do her best to accommodate. Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan of the desserts and would come back to try the crepes or waffles, but maybe at a different location. read more
I rarely order hot chocolate beverage at restaurants bc Ive always believed it was a rip off. That was until I went there wirh my Godson an hour before his birthday dinner. I didn't wany to get too full so I ordered a dark hot chocolate with a toasted marshmallow, a red velvet cake with vanilla ice cream to share. The ice cream scoop was gigantic and velvety. Cake was solid and my hot chocolate was creamy with just a hint of sweetness. Both items were presentable too! read more
Pretty good place for hangout and chill with friends. Can't get my favourite crepe anywhere else: strawberry banana with Nutella. To top it off chocolate ice cream?!!!?? What do you think??!! Isn't it delicious! I honestly love how cute and girly they have renovated this new demetres! Absolutely amazing!!! Not impressed at all this time they had our food left at the counter for 5-10 mins as I kept my eyes on my order I saw ppl just walking around. When I saw Demetres opened 10 minutes away from me, I made it a mission to check it out the next day. :D I originally thought this opened in the Cineplex plaza but it is actually located across the street...so if you parked on the wrong side be prepared to run across the street. Be careful though! The decor of this restaurant is delightfully bright, full of pastels colours, and florals. The chairs and the seating of the restaurant were plentiful and spacious. I ordered the pomme pilot with Roché ice cream and it more than satisfied the sweet tooth. The ice cream scoop was very generous and the apple pie and crumbles covered most of the crepe. The crepe did get soggy near the end, but you can ask for the ice cream to be served separately from the crepe. Also, we ordered the Nutella milkshake and omg, it was like drinking melted Nutella. Sooo good, but way too much chocolate after eating the giant scoop of roché ice cream. read more
