We had pipe spring a leak and flood our garage last Friday and Tony sent Alex out right away, literally, and Alex did a wonderful job repairing the pipe. Tony was amazing!! I had some bad luck with another plumbing company where they basically put 27 holes in my wall for work that was never completed. He went out to give me an estimate immediately and was at the house the next day and finished the job they couldn't and in record timing too! He replaced and installed new pipes (2 in total) his price was almost 3xs LESS then the other plumbers!!! He is my go-to plumber now!! My hot water heater was leaking so I called DeMiguel to replace it. Tony quoted me a new water heater with a 10 year warranty. The water heater comes in two parts, the tank and an anode. Tony brought the wrong anode, so he replaced the water heater without it, promising that he will bring in the next couple of days. He asked for payment, and I made the mistake of paying in full, even through the job was not done. Needless to say, this is four months later and he still has not finished the job, he still has not given me an invoice for the work and payment, I have no warranty, and I can't get him to return to finish. I have contacted countless time and each time he promises to come by and it never happens. Very questionable ethics. Buyer beware. read more

An old plastic pipe from the house to the street cracked down under the front yard. I am not doubting the work done was professionally. The rating is based on having to constantly watch and push them to do the job properly. At first, this was just a leaking upright, (or so I thought). 650 to fix. Ouch, but ok. I was when they dug down that they realized I didn't have copper, so 2500 to reach the street. Obviously, I was not pleased, but Tony seemed quite professional, stating he would replace all of the corroded piping outside of the house, so it would essentially be like I had all brand new piping into the house (his words). After a day of them digging, I received text, asking if I had a water filter. I did not. I used to sell them, so I know that a filter removes, while a water softener, which I did have, adds to the water, so I said no. After everything is "fixed," I found I had no water to the pool. I call them back out. They need to go around to the back of my house to "see where the pipes are going." I found this extremely odd as it shouldn't matter where they are going, since all that needs to happen is to make it look like it did when you arrived, but without the leak. They asked this while I was asleep and when they didn't receive an answer, took it upon themselves to do this on their own. Not pleased, but ok, they reconnected my water softner (still have no idea why that was even a question to reconnect) and when they turned the water on, my yard water started spraying everywhere. Evidently they didn't know/remember that there was a separate valve for the house and the yard water, so that had to be done as well. After they leave finally leave, I am called away and return 3 weeks later to find a leak. It is not big, but the ground is wet right where they were working. I call, Tony comes out and sends me a photo of corroded piping just above where they were working (remember: I will replace all corroded piping) and text that says, "pin hole in the copper pipe. Nothing to do with our repair." I try to be understanding and forgiving of people, especially when you don't understand their job and what they must go through, but I finally had to say, "the leak is in the EXACT SPOT where you did your work, and weren't we replacing all of the corroded piping there anyway? Of course, another complete avoidance and simply, "I will not argue. I will fix the elbow for free." Well, considering all of that should have been replaced to begin with, I would hope so. I am waiting for them to come out tomorrow. If he cuts out that elbow and doesn't replace the 1 foot of corroded piping that is clearly visible on the photo he sent me, I will be updating or leaving another review. Again, I am not doubting the quality of the work, but after having many days to stew on why they would need to see where pipes were going, I can only come to two conclusions. Either they cut a pipe they later didn't know whether it was connected or not, or they were hoping that pipe simply didn't go anywhere so they didn't have to reattach it. That is blatantly cutting corners and trying to do as little work as possible in my book. Seeing this latest leak and the corroded pipes around it only seems to reinforce that feeling. If you decide to go with these people, I truly hope you are lucky enough to get 5-star service like many of these other people are saying they received. Personally, for as much as I paid, plus the statement "my name will be on this, so I want everything to be done right," one would think "above and beyond" would be the target, not "as little as possible." read more

DeMiguel Plumbing is amazing. Matt, the owner's brother, installed a hot water heater for me yesterday. I got four bids and the other three were quite a bit higher than what Tony, the owner, quoted me. After seeing that they have been in business since 1951 and reading their reviews I decided to go with them. Matt did an amazing job, was even early for my appt., was very professional, very knowledgeable and an all around nice guy. He even did a couple of extra things but didn't up the price. Have had the whole crew from DeMiguel plumbing work on multiple projects both expected and emergency calls. Not only is Tony and Matt professional but cost effective for any job from small to large. A year ago my mothers water heater broke and leaked water unexpectably in the middle of the afternoon on a Sunday. I called Tony and Matt and they were onsite within a hour to fix and clean up the problem. I also just bought a new house a week ago and had Tony come look at the inspection report and property and he came up with a itemized list of what needed to be taken care of immediately and what still had life to it plumbing wise. We called DeMiguel Plumbing on Friday 11/22/2013. We advised the plumber of our situation and he stated that it dodnt sound like a big issue and that we might just need a roter rooter. The owner said that someone would call on Saturday morning between 8am-9am. We never recived a phone call so we called the owner and he stated that his brother said that he called us 10 times but we never answered which couldnt be any further from the truth. He then said that his brother would be there later that day which he never came. We then called the owner again and asked what was going on and he mentioned that his brother may have been "hung over" Very professional right? We then receive a call the next day from the brother apologizing for the inconveniance and that he would be there first thing MOnday morning. My husband agrees and takes the morning off but guess what no one shows up. He gets a call late monday morning around 10 stating that his truck broke down and that he was going to be late. He ends up showing up in the early part of the afternoon and has the worst attitude. He stated that the problem was too much for him to do and that he couldnt help. Remember, we already knew what the problem was but the plumbers obviously didnt listen. My husband proceeds to call the owner who is very apologetic and tells him he will be there first thing Wed morning to fix the issue. The owner calls Tuesday night and says nothing about time assuming that we would be the first on their list because of everything we have gone through. My husband again takes time off of work and again they dont show up. The owner calls at around 9 telling him that he is in northern AZ and on his way down to our house. Not long after that, he calls my husband again this time saying that his truck has broken down. Long story short.....worst company ever. They are very unprofessional and even though prices are reasonable I gather you get what you pay for. For your own good......find someone else to work with. Done read more
