Just started getting into denim and was gifted a pair of slightly large Japanese selvedge. Didn't need hemming but I wanted the waist tapered so I gave this spot a shot since I saw great reviews. Parking here was easy but was kinda lost since there is no outdoor sign. Had to give them a call just to make sure but once I was inside, it was an amazing experience with tons of vintage denim to browse. Shoutout to the amazing employees who were warm and answered all the questions I had. Originally was told it was going to take 2 weeks but the turn around was 4 days which was a nice surprise. The denim now hugs my waist perfectly and I look forward to wearing it for a long time!

Before

These guys are WIZARDS! I came in with 4 brand new Levi's, including 1 pair that I had gone and gotten altered at another place and they completely butchered them (pic attached, that place charged me $65 for this monstrosity). The denim guys immediately told me what I already thought and it was that my altered jeans were not supposed to look like that AT ALL. About 1.5 weeks later and they were completely transformed. All 4 pairs fit like they should and they look perfect! I won't be going elsewhere to get my denim jeans altered.

Bought these Rock Revival jeans about 4-5 years ago, and the crotch area was beyond ruined. My parents said it's trash now and to buy new ones but I guess rock revival stopped selling this specific jean so i had to get it fixed. Looked everywhere and came across Denim Doctors. It took a week to fix, and honestly the results were worth the price!! They look brand new and I couldn't be happier. If you got ruined jeans, this is the place to fix em.

I brought a pair of jeans to these guys that I thought were beyond repair. They fixed them in 20 minutes. They are true artists.

Trove is a wonderful resale and consignment store. They have a huge selection of gently used items…read more You can get designer or name brand clothing, all sorts of accessories, purses, shoes, things for your home and they even have a baby section. Their prices are quite reasonable. Many items are up to 80% off what you would pay for great clothes and bags. They also have some nice art now and again it is all fairly priced. This is not a Salvation Army type store, yes, all items are used, but all are designer or something you may have seen in a store. They do not have a huge vintage section and that is fine. It has just really nice things that I would end up paying a lot more for new. The service is great. The staff is nice and knows what is in the store and where. If you are looking for a nice bag, they have it or some nice clothes. I have bought a few things there and I have never been disappointed.

They took my phone number and said they would call when they found the match. I gave them my number and about a week later, they called and had found the match. I returned and bought it. Yesterday, we went there and bought a few things. Super cute stuff and fun to shop. My daughter found new Stan Smith Adidas. They couldn't sell them because they lost the key to unlock the block thing that the alarm goes off if cut. Again, I gave my number and today, they called and found the key. Went back and got the adidas.

Raggedy Threads is my favorite vintage store in L.A. - no contest. Don't let this tiny little store…read more- located in a tiny little corner of Little Tokyo - fool you: It's like a treasure trove of rare finds. I've been on a huge vintage kick lately, so this store has been my go-to source for old tees. My reasons for going vintage are primarily environmental since the carbon footprint and resources needed to make new clothes are substantial - and incredibly wasteful when there's so much awesome used clothing out there. Another reason: Your friends can't copy your style. Most recently, I picked up a few tees from the 1970s and 80s. Being in L.A. they get a lot of local and California vintage shirts with logos, designs, and jokes that only true Californians would get. I couldn't resist buying a Castroville "Giant Artichoke" tee they had over the summer. Personally, I tend to gravitate towards regional finds like these because they bring back such great memories of my youth and of family road trips up and down my home state. They also carry old college (Go Bears!), high school, and everyone's favorite - summer camp tees. Plus, you cannot beat the vintage fit from the 70s/80s. Caveat: Today's "S" is equivalent to an "M" or bigger because people were presumably thinner back then. So do your part for the environment and look effortlessly stylish doing it by shopping used and vintage! And there's no better place in L.A. for this than Raggedy Threads.
