The finished work on my boots were remarkable and even a hole that was near the laces of the boot was now unnoticeable. He replaced the soles and gave them a great paint job. I had a pair of jeans that I loved in every way except they were too long. Denim Doctors was able to shorten the jeans by 3-4" and exactly match the original hem. The stitching is raised about an inch from the bottom of the jeans and aged along the bottom and next to the stitching. You can't tell any difference from the original. This is my second time using the services of Denim Doctors, and again, they did not disappoint! Had a couple of pairs of perfectly, worked-in jeans (that aren't available anymore), which had some pretty embarrassing tears of them. I thought they were pretty much dust, but decided to send them along (via UPS) just to have them take a look. Once received, they quickly informed me that they were able to repair them and gave me an itemized cost for each item as well as the cost for shipping. The bid may have seemed a bit high for some (but trust me, it's worth it!), and considering the excellent work they had done in the past, I gladly accepted and Venmo'd the fee right over. About a week and a half later, they contacted me to inform me that the work was completed and confirmed my address. Sent in my vintage 501 hand me downs (from my mom out of the 80s). They had a massive tear through the buttocks and crotch. I was so afraid to send these to a normal tailor. I was helped by Zip and he and his team are superb. I'd requested them to tailor a pair of selvedge raw denim jeans and it turns out that's something they specialize in. It only took a few days and the jeans now fit perfectly and the selvedge is 100% intact. His shop also carries a bunch of cool leathers, denim, and flannel type clothing if you're looking for more than just tailoring. Will be recommending Denim Doctors to everyone I know who needs top tier quality work done for their clothing. I was originally very happy with my repair job and returned a couple months later with another 2 pairs of jeans with less severe crotch blowout. Payed a bit over 200 and had one pair re rip in the same exact spot after one month of daily wear second pair re rips right below original rip because it was not patched correctly after trying on not even wearing it out.Mind you my first repair was 100% darning and was great my second visit my jeans were returned to me with patches put in not darning.I contacted them and was told to bring them back in and was told I would have to pay again to repair them but that it would be half off which i find ridiculous your repairs didn't hold up as they should have and i still need to pay why wouldn't you just repair them correctly the first time? they are alot better at separating you from your money then repairing denim.they're quality has dropped and I would not recommend anyone this shop unless you want to buy the most basic goodwill uniform wash denim for 250 read more

Why four stars well it's super expensive. $95 for taking in the waist. I know it's craftsmanship but it's a lil steep in my opinion. I had a pair of Saint Laurent jeans with major crotch blowout and some knee rips fixed and reinforced. I could not be happier by the way they turned out. I had a pair of vintage Tommy Hilfiger jeans that had 4 small holes needing to be repaired. I requested a quote through Yelp, and the man that responded to me (I think Zip?), gave me a quote of $65. I made sure to show him all of the damage when requesting that quote, too. When I arrived at the store the next day to drop off the jeans, he told me that now he would be charging $85. I'm kind of a denim addict. I'm constantly on the search for the perfect vintage pair of jeans. I mostly wear 100% cotton jeans, and denim lovers know that 100% cotton molds to your body and it takes a lot of time to break them in. So when I have a pair of denim that fits me just right, I treasure them. I had 3 pairs of jeans and 1 pair of shorts that had been well loved so they had ripped and needed repair. I set them aside for probably 6 months because I couldn't find a place I trusted. It takes a lot of expertise to do invisible repair on denim, and I didn't want to just go someplace where they'd do an obvious patch repair. Finally I found Denim Doctors on yelp. Catalina helped me and was very knowledgable with a keen eye for detail. She estimated a 10 day turnaround, and they were ready within exactly 10 days! My jeans looked AMAZING, even when you stare at it up close, you can hardly see where the repairs were done. There was one small repair we had discussed that she missed, but she was able to do it for me on the spot right away. I'm so excited to wear my jeans again. For the price of one pair of designer jeans I now got back my 4 tried and true pieces of denim, that fit in all the right places. It is not cheap but to me it's an investment, and I found the prices very reasonable for the incredible, expert work that was done.
