Warranty Experience with Chef's Toys and Mulberry Technology…read moreInitial Purchase and Expectations In 2023, we invested a total of $26,472.61, which included taxes and two warranty insurance plans, for a 3-door KINTORA refrigerator and a 2-door KINTORA freezer. Our initial experience was smooth and hassle-free, largely thanks to our salesperson, Estaban Aguirre. Unfortunately, we later discovered that Estaban was no longer with the company. The Issue Arises On March 6, 2026, the hinge of our 3-door KINTORA refrigerator broke, rendering the refrigerator unusable. Since we had purchased a warranty, we immediately reached out to Estaban for assistance, only to learn from Raul Flores that Estaban was no longer employed with Chef's Toys. Raul provided us with contact information for Mulberry Technology, who was supposed to handle our warranty claims. Challenges with the Warranty Process This marked the beginning of a frustrating ordeal. It quickly became apparent that Chef's Toys was not well-acquainted with Mulberry Technology. Raul initially gave us an incorrect contact number for starting our claim. He directed us to Joshua Wohl at Mulberry, who, while not involved in claims processing, was helpful enough to connect us with the appropriate department--after we had already experienced several unhelpful responses from Raul. After sending our purchase order to Karime, our contact at Mulberry, we learned that Chef's Toys had never registered our protection plan with Mulberry or transferred the necessary funds for our warranty. We attempted to follow up with Raul but received no response until we escalated our concerns to Chef's Toys' corporate office. Unfortunately, reaching out to their main line at 714-662-2433 during business hours of M-F between 9am-5pm only led to a voicemail, and our emails through their website also went unanswered. This is TERRIBLE! Resolution and Lingering Frustrations Eventually, Raul from Chef's Toys responded and offered a courtesy repair for our refrigerator door but informed us that our remaining warranty coverage would not be honored. This was frustrating, as we had already paid for the warranty. During this period, on March 25, the Health Department visited and deducted points from our inspection due to the non-functional equipment. We promptly notified Raul about the urgency, as another inspection was scheduled for April 6. Fortunately, the Health Department accepted our communication with Raul and a photo of the completed repair as proof. The entire process--from the breakdown on March 6 to the repair on April 6--took a full month. This delay was disappointing, especially given that waiting for a part should not have justified such a lengthy timeline; someone could have delivered the part to expedite the repair.

2.21.26 Hubby looking for a knife, I'm looking for a sharpening tool…read more It's a smaller scale store but I can easily spend at least an hour roaming the aisles. I love to cook & I see all the possibilities of the items to make life easier or more efficient here. My santoku is starting to become dull & needs sharpening. I couldn't my favorite chef 's knife (the whole knife block cannot be found!) Hubby found a chefs knife & he got me the sharpener. I told him I wanted to get the stone/honing block but he opted for the metal kind. The staff are super helpful & answered our questions. There so many "toys" I wanted to buy but I must resist the urge to amass more "clutter" (that's what Hubby calls it, but he reaps the benefit when he eats what I cook). I still need a dumpling rolling pin, but they only have standard types at this location. Aisles are fairly spacious & inventory appears well stocked, neatly arranged & sorted. Prices are fair & marked accordingly. It has its own designated free parking lot. Good shopping trip, met our goals.

It was a pleasure working with Andres Vega at Pacific Sales in Torrance. I explained to Andres that…read moreI needed to replace my high-end 48" side-by-side Thermador refrigerator that I had purchased new in 2004. Unfortunately, after spending thousands of dollars on repairs over the past five years, it continued to break down and was no longer reliable. Andres listened patiently to my concerns and then asked what type of refrigerator I was looking for. I told him I wanted something similar to the Thermador but with much greater longevity. He recommended Sub-Zero, explaining that while it cost a little more than Thermador, Sub-Zero refrigerators have a long-standing reputation for lasting over 20 years. I mentioned that I had read all Sub-Zero 48" models are 84" high, which is 1/2" taller than my existing Thermador, and I was concerned they would not fit in my cabinet space. Andres confidently told me they would fit, but to make absolutely certain, he offered to send Pacific Sales' certified Sub-Zero installers to my home to take measurements free of charge and with no obligation to purchase. The installers arrived the very next day, took measurements, and confirmed that all the Sub-Zero 48" models would fit perfectly. I then met Andres at the store, where he showed me the different 48" Sub-Zero models and honestly explained the pros and cons of each style based on customer feedback. I ultimately decided on the Classic French Door model. Since I had already been without a refrigerator for weeks, I told Andres I wanted it as soon as possible. He assured me it would not be a problem, and amazingly, he arranged delivery and installation just three days later. The installers arrived on time, completed the installation in less than an hour, and thoroughly tested everything before leaving. The entire process--from measurements to installation--took only three days and was completely painless and stress-free. I could not be happier with my new Sub-Zero refrigerator, and I truly appreciate all of Andres Vega's help. He is extremely knowledgeable, professional, intelligent, and genuinely knows his stuff. I highly recommend Andres Vega at Pacific Sales in Torrance to anyone looking for a high-end refrigerator or premium appliance shopping experience.

This is an honest review of the Home Depot Tool Rental Department; STORE 6670 @ 110 E Sepulveda…read moreBlvd, Carson, CA 90745. I needed to rent a vacuum to clean up some dust & dirt inside of my motor home van. I went into the Tool Rental Department and was greeted by an employee named Fern. I told Fern that I wanted to vacuum some dirt & dust in my motor home van that was parked in the parking lot. Fern walked me over to the shop vacuums and picked one out for me. Fern said "This one will do the job for you". I gave Fern my credit card and he did the paperwork for the rental. I took the vacuum out to my motor home van in the parking lot and started to vacuum up the dust & dirt. I then found out that the vacuum hose was too short. I walked back in to the rental department and told Fern that the hose on the vacuum that he picked out for me was too short. Fern told me that he would exchange the vacuum for a smaller vacuum with a longer hose. I agreed. I took the smaller vacuum with the longer hose out to my motor home van and started to vacuum up some of the piles of dust. For the first few minutes, the vacuum was working great, then the vacuum started to blow the dust out of the vacuum and all over the inside of my motor home. It seemed like the filter got disconnected somehow. I took off the top motor part of the vacuum and seen that the air filter was lying at the bottom of the canister. I took the top of the vacuum & the filter into the rental shop to tell Fern what has happened. Fern was gone but there was another employee named Mena behind the desk. I told Mena what happened and he came out from behind the desk and looked at the filter. I showed Mena where it looked like there was a missing nut that held the filter in place. Mena played with the filter for a few minuets then told me "Look, I fixed the problem". Mena was still holding the top of the vacuum & filter in his hand and the filter fell off again and hit the floor. Right then I realized that I was dealing with an employee that was Dumber than a bag of hammers. I told Mena that I didn't want to deal with this piece of junk anymore and that I was going to go to Lowes and rent a vacuum. Mena told me that he would just cancel the rental and return my money but he had the Nerve to say that he was going to have to charge me for cleaning up the vacuum. I told him that the dirt & dust in the vacuum was because of the vacuum malfunctioning. I told Mena that the piece of junk vacuum made a mess in my van and now I how to spend a couple hours wiping down the entire motor home inside because the vacuum malfunctioned and made a mess all over the inside of my motor home. Mena still had the Nerve to tell me Again, that he was still going to have to charge me for the return of the dirty tool. I told Mena that I was going to give his Home Depot tool rental department a very Honest and Negative Review. After hearing that, he told me that he Was Not going to charge me anything for the clean up of the vacuum. He also said Please don't leave a negative review of the department because it goes against him. Bottom Line; I WILL NEVER AGAIN RENT ANYTHING FROM THIS HOME DEPOT!!!! Fact; Fern & Mena seem to be nice guys but they just don't know what there doing!!!! Fern & Mena really should be retrieving shopping carts in the parking lot and NOT working in the tool rental department.
