This is an honest review of the Home Depot Tool Rental Department; STORE 6670 @ 110 E Sepulveda Blvd, Carson, CA 90745. I needed to rent a vacuum to clean up some dust & dirt inside of my motor home van. I went into the Tool Rental Department and was greeted by an employee named Fern. I told Fern that I wanted to vacuum some dirt & dust in my motor home van that was parked in the parking lot. Fern walked me over to the shop vacuums and picked one out for me. Fern said "This one will do the job for you". I gave Fern my credit card and he did the paperwork for the rental. I took the vacuum out to my motor home van in the parking lot and started to vacuum up the dust & dirt. I then found out that the vacuum hose was too short. I walked back in to the rental department and told Fern that the hose on the vacuum that he picked out for me was too short. Fern told me that he would exchange the vacuum for a smaller vacuum with a longer hose. I agreed. I took the smaller vacuum with the longer hose out to my motor home van and started to vacuum up some of the piles of dust. For the first few minutes, the vacuum was working great, then the vacuum started to blow the dust out of the vacuum and all over the inside of my motor home. It seemed like the filter got disconnected somehow. I took off the top motor part of the vacuum and seen that the air filter was lying at the bottom of the canister. I took the top of the vacuum & the filter into the rental shop to tell Fern what has happened. Fern was gone but there was another employee named Mena behind the desk. I told Mena what happened and he came out from behind the desk and looked at the filter. I showed Mena where it looked like there was a missing nut that held the filter in place. Mena played with the filter for a few minuets then told me "Look, I fixed the problem". Mena was still holding the top of the vacuum & filter in his hand and the filter fell off again and hit the floor. Right then I realized that I was dealing with an employee that was Dumber than a bag of hammers. I told Mena that I didn't want to deal with this piece of junk anymore and that I was going to go to Lowes and rent a vacuum. Mena told me that he would just cancel the rental and return my money but he had the Nerve to say that he was going to have to charge me for cleaning up the vacuum. I told him that the dirt & dust in the vacuum was because of the vacuum malfunctioning. I told Mena that the piece of junk vacuum made a mess in my van and now I how to spend a couple hours wiping down the entire motor home inside because the vacuum malfunctioned and made a mess all over the inside of my motor home. Mena still had the Nerve to tell me Again, that he was still going to have to charge me for the return of the dirty tool. I told Mena that I was going to give his Home Depot tool rental department a very Honest and Negative Review. After hearing that, he told me that he Was Not going to charge me anything for the clean up of the vacuum. He also said Please don't leave a negative review of the department because it goes against him. Bottom Line; I WILL NEVER AGAIN RENT ANYTHING FROM THIS HOME DEPOT!!!! Fact; Fern & Mena seem to be nice guys but they just don't know what there doing!!!! Fern & Mena really should be retrieving shopping carts in the parking lot and NOT working in the tool rental department. read more

Bought a shower spout. When I opened it (@ home) the plastic tube was broken in half & the plastic bag holding the small parts was also open. So drove back, returned it & went to look for another... as I'm looking I come across a used, filthy spout. I'm assuming someone returned their old one they replaced in the new packaging. Hear me out, I'm a very open minded person... but this experience was pretty.... Unsatisfying. I wanted to take my partner for a Father's Day gift which this gift was going to assist our weekend of celebrating not just for Father's Day but we also had graduates. I found the item online.. they had in store. I surprised him by showing up and pointing the one we wanted. The woman that assisted us was... kind but wasn't prepared to help us. Seemed overwhelmed by our request. We waited awhile to finally have her scan the item w her phone. She told us none were disassembled -it was a grill. I understand that the person who assembled may be unavailable... but you're telling me no one.. knows how to use a screw driver to help us? The rep ended up stripping the screw so we didn't want it anymore. We were tired at this point and understood, maybe we can come back with power tools. We were there before closing and left just before closing. My car is a medium sized SUV if we can just take off the side shelves it'll fit. But no luck. I had to return it and come back next day. Unknowing when my refund would show in my bank. i returned in the morning thinking it'll work.. a little doubtful but tried anyways. We showed up they took my payment waited for someone to grab the grill... just to wait for some time and they said they could not disassemble it nor hold it for me to have a truck pick up after half an hour waiting ... I ended up getting cash back and... I went to Lowe's where they had the boxed grill I wanted, the exact item. Picked up curbside and went home and assembled to the rescue. Look, if Home Depot cannot make a sale based on the their employees not knowing how to handle... say something. They should speak up and say something instead of making the customers wait. I wasted a lot of time on this and was so was upsetting. It wasn't the grill.. it was the customer service for me that was the issue. Went to Home Depot in Carson and from the moment I walked in I was enjoy some cool music. The "oldies" were rocking out. OMG I have to share my experience at Home Depot on Sepulveda and Main As I was shopping the salesperson came up to me asking if I needed help. As I was price matching certain items he offered to price match my purchase. He walked me to check out, to give me discount and encouraged me to sign up for the pro rewards. As it was a little time consuming and I couldn't apply rewards immediately so he gave me a discount. My bill was $98, to my surprise he took $40 off the total. Of course I was pleased. So then I went to the self-checkout register, which by the way "IS ANY" register only to find that it doesn't take bill payments because I have not worked here long enough to know how to do that which, Ari, is why I went to Customer Service!!! Home Depot is one of those places where you go when you gotta get something fixed or created. All of them are pretty much the same. They are these gigantic warehouse facilities full of tons and tons of stuff. This location is no different. Like all the Home Depot's this business has a gigantic parking lot in front, so you should never have any problem finding a place to park. Inside, I find this location to be a bit more strangely organized than some of the other Home Depot's in the area. This is not to say that you can't find things, it's just the way the aisles are laid out if you don't know the store you kind of have to calculate where are you going to find what you are looking for. This being said, this location has all the stuff that all of the other Home Depot's are known for. As at all Home Depot locations, the staff here is very knowledgeable and nice. If you need any help, I'm sure they are happy to give it to you. Overall, if you're looking for what Home Depot has to offer, this is the place to go if you're in the area. read more

I had the best customer service at this Home Depot today so I had to write a review...Alex, John, and Chris all went over and above to help me get the items I needed for my work. This wasn't an easy task because the fork lift wasn't wide enough to get down the pallet I needed items from. Thankfully, Alex made it happen though quickly and efficiently. Located off Sepulveda Bl in Carson. Lots of parking shared with other businesses in the center. Came here to get some gardening gloves for my mom. Found a pair to find out they couldn't sell it me cause it wasn't ringing up in the register so after a few tries the gal had to pull all that particular brand and style off the floor but as I was about to leave she pulled me to the side and gave me a pair for all the trouble very nice of her and thank you to her. A definite 5 stars on going above and beyond customer service I didn't get her name but she was working in the Garden area she was very friendly and bubbly to all the customers that were in line. Overall a very good experience here although while in the rest of store it was hard to find a worker I was looking up and down all the aisles until I finally saw one to ask where the gardening gloves were at. read more

It's a Saturday, many workers are standing around on their phones laughing not helping guests, and when I asked for help it seemed like I was bothering them and they actually sent me on a wild hunt bc no one knew where clamps were. I finally found what I was looking for on my own and turns out you can't buy a single clamp. You have to buy 4. This is a commonly used product. Why do I need to buy 4??? I caved in and just took what I could get. Finally making it to the cashiers. That's where the natural disaster happened. 1 self check out and 2 cashiers for the ENTIRE STORE!!!!!! Unacceptable. One of the biggest (if not THE biggest) Home Depots I've been to. Also the most organized. Unlike all the other Home Depots I very recently visited, every aisle I walked through was clear of clutter. It couldn't be easier finding what I needed. I was looking for bathroom and mosaic tiles and everything was labeled and located where they were supposed to be. (This was a first!) Gotta give a shout out to Daniel. He was incredibly helpful. He went out of his way to bring down displayed sample tiles so I can see how they'd look on the floor. He even made suggestions which mosaics would go with it. Excellent service, excellent experience. Far better than the HD closest to me. I'd go out of my way, for sure read more

As with most of the other customers here, I strongly agree that the customer service here needs to improve a whole lot! If I could give them one star I would and as a grade I give them the lowest F. I came to this particular location yesterday and the service was horrible. All the workers do is laugh and joke around and don't pay attention to their customers. When you come up to them they don't even say hello how did everything go today. I went to the nursery yesterday to buy two gallons of roses which were quite heavy. They have a portable or mobile scanner gun so the lazy cashier could have got out of the booth and scanned them for me. I asked her kindly to do that especially I had some pokes and scratches from the thorns and she replied in a nasty tone and gave me a dirty look sorry it's not our problem, either you put at least one in the counter or else I can't scan them for you. I'm never coming to this Home Depot again. At other Home Depot stores and Lowe's too, they care about their customers and are polite and courteous but here, they treat their customers like garbage and talk to them like garbage! they have a great selection yes but I did curb side for the first time because I'm in a rush and as soon as they told me my order was ready I came and put in the parking spot, but no one ever brought out my order. Inconvenience! I wish they would have checked... obvious if you have pick up orders coming through check them! I was referred to Molly, the HD landscape specialist and she spent quite a few minutes with me explaining the pros and cons of different plants that would be appropriate for this area and my garden foliage. Home Depot is literally taking your money and forgetting ALL about Customer Service! My DRAMA with this specific Home Depot location began when I paid $14,582.90 on June 14, 2021 for installation of Bathroom and Laundry room tile and Wood Floors for our upstairs bedrooms and stairs. We were informed by the store that it would be 7-10 days before products started arriving. After 3 weeks of waiting I called and I went to the store and the turnaround time was almost 3 months On Friday, September 3, 2021 one lone Home Depot employee dropped off EVERYTHING and basically left it in our driveway. The work began on September 7, 2021 and it was a total NIGHTMARE! Only ONE carpenter arrived with 1 day worker to pull up carpet in two closets and 3 bathrooms. The ONE guy showed up ALONE the next day to lay tile in 3 bathrooms and a laundry room knowing ALL THE WHILE that 4 adults were still living in the house and needed one bathroom. Although "we paid" for removal and reinstall of toilets I had one of the toilets removed so that he could install the tile and I would have a working bathroom. He took his time laying tile for this one bathroom and specifically told me "it wasn't his job" to put caulking the baseboards when attached to the wall. He told me to hire a carpenter! This guy and his work was terrible! When I contacted the store regarding my displeasure I literally had to repeat my issue to several people over several days and by this time I just wanted him out of my house. The store manager promised compensation of $300 for my displeasure and I was promised by the flooring department (Alex) reimbursement for toilets not removed or reinstalled by this guy. Regarding the wood floors on my stairs and bedrooms this process was fine. The morning the install started they arrived with a total of 6 people. The carpet on the steps and bedrooms was removed and the wood floors were installed in a couple of days. Unfortunately the job couldn't be completed because the Home Depot staff didn't order enough transitions for our bedroom and laundry room when the flooring was ordered. On Friday, September 17, 2021 the wood floors were completed and the installers told us they would return when we received the transitions. The transitions were ordered on Monday, September 20, 2021 (in which I had to pay additional for these) they arrived on October 15, 2021. I made multiple attempts from calling the store several times a week as well as visits to the store and calling Corporate to contact whoever I could to get my transitions installed. The issue we faced after MONTHS of waiting for our floors to be completed was extremely frustrating and very stressful and no one cared! Instead they preferred to send someone back out to my house and inconvenience my family and rip up the baseboards and basically held my transitions hostage. I made it clear that I no longer wanted anyone coming back to redo what should've been done correctly in the first place. On December 16, 2021 is when my transitions were FINALLY installed. This job took less than 30 minutes for two people! Does ANYONE get my frustration! I am attaching pictures of the work that was never completed to our satisfaction. Home Depot put me and my family through months of turmoil and never followed through with compensation or promises made or even a phone call to inquire about this overall experience when it was finally completed I am a Navy veteran having served 30 years of Military service and I've never experienced such disorganization in my life! The crazy thing is that if my Debit card was tracked in this store they would find out that I've spent probably $20,000 in 2021 alone. My suggestion for anyone looking for flooring installed please use a Flooring EXPERT for your needs and not Home Depot! Had someone warned me I would have definitely spent my money elsewhere. read more

I've reached out to multiple Home Depot associates and multiple managers about this refrigerator and it was always the same result.... Nothing was done about it. No one cares When I walked into this location to resolve the issue Kevin was the only associate who handled my order with kindness and patience. I asked two floor representatives certain products are and also for assistance and the response I received was I not sure where the product your looking at is to be honest. Also, the way they responded was very sarcastic and unprofessional. I didn't get there names because I was so upset at they treated me. I dread coming to this Home Depot, like most others. It feels like I spend way more time in here than necessary because good help is hard to find. Assistants are never near the aisles where people seem to need the most help. Yet, you will see several employees sitting in sections such as cabinets and blinds, doing absolutely nothing and helping absolutely no one! I can't stand the parking lot. The entry door is on one side and exit door on the complete opposite. If you park toward one end to go in, you'll walk a nice distance back to your car. I come to this store weekly for job material and rarely need assistance but with more and more items being locked, I struggle to find help when needed. Please train your employees to not just say "I'll call Someone" but to make sure assistance is actually on its way when they make an Inter come request. After a pretty horrible experience at another Home Depot and the necessity to buy a fridge, I had to find another location and try my luck there. I was really hoping I wouldn't have another bad experience with people working the night shift again and I'm happy to say I didn't. I came on a 9:30pm which is half an hour before close. I talked to one of the employees Elsa about information for free shipping/delivery of appliances. She took the time to explain their policies and even walked me through some of the different types of fridges and how much they would cost. She also gave me advice from the different types of fridge brands to the delivery process to other tips that I wouldn't have thought about otherwise. She was also fluent with the employee tools whereas the other employees were not. I asked the same questions that I asked employees at other locations and I was able to fully understand the process rather than being rushed to leave since it was almost closing. I ended up buying the same fridge I was looking at at another location but definitely left happier and with peace of mind. After finishing the purchase, I made sure to thank her a ton for the great experience. The other location had people on their phone and complaining while working and Elsa was polite and super helpful. Of course, it's a chance game that you might run into an employee having a bad day but there's always the expectation of an employee to maintain professionalism so I'm really appreciative Elsa was able to do that and help me out when I was more than stressed. read more

Most, definitely not all, but most, of the staff are nice enough. I don't jump to leave reviews but I just would hope that the management would take this to heart. Their online stock frequently fails to reflect what is currently on the shelves. I like to check online before I spend my time and gas driving in, and more than half the time, the items are not only not in the aisle and bay indicated on the website, but the staff and customer service have no clue where the plentiful stock has gone to. Why offer the feature online if you don't adhere to it properly in the store? Certainly things must be moved around, so why not AT LEAST make the information available to the staff? read more

Annita or Anitta who is the older lady with the fake tattoo eye brows is HORRIBLE. My boyfriend has been helping his parents redo their house. They've had a Home Depot credit card for the last almost 3 years now and have made thousands and thousands of dollars of purchases. I personally have gone with him to four different Home Depot's, Inglewood, West Chester, Marina Del Ray, Los Angeles, and Woodland Hills. Not once have they ever asked at the cashier to see ID for the card being used. A few days ago he made the mistake of getting in line with this old woman named Anitta at the register. He had already made two trips to that exact Home Depot that same day with no issue. And then when he went back to get more laminate flooring as he was approaching the cashier when he went to pay she saw a Home Depot credit card in his hand and demanded an ID or he was not allowed to purchase. She told him he was not allowed to purchase and made him leave. Does she make the rules or does EVERY single home depot employee break the rules by not checking ID. So the next day I decided to do a test and I went back with the same Home Depot credit card and guess who is there again, Anita. I approached her in the cashier line and went to pay with his family Home Depot credit card and she was much nicer to me when I was alone then when he was there. she gave me no issue. It's funny how she gets to pick and choose AND be racist towards who gets to get cashed out and who doesn't.
