It's not a shield from legitimate safety failures, nor is it a valid defense when a customer provides photo evidence of an unsecured carabiner mid-air on your ride. Saying "we've never had an incident" is meaningless when the situation I documented could have become one. Safety is not retroactive. "People cannot get out of the parachute unless they want to." This is a completely inappropriate, condescending, and dangerously dismissive statement. The issue here isn't whether someone wants to exit the harness--it's whether your equipment is secure enough to prevent accidental failure. My daughter's carabiner was visibly open and unsecured, something you can clearly see in the photos I sent that your company took. "You are making assumptions... we understand the equipment." I didn't make assumptions--I took photos. I didn't just say "I felt unsafe." I described, in detail, a chain of negligent actions, and backed them up with objective documentation. Your unwillingness to acknowledge this, coupled with a blanket statement that you "know better," is both arrogant and alarming. "You tipped the crew $20." This is perhaps the most bizarre and inappropriate point in your entire response. A gratuity, given under social pressure or out of politeness, has absolutely nothing to do with the safety concerns raised. Bringing that up is both irrelevant and in poor taste. The fact that your only real defense is to list credentials and dismiss my firsthand experience suggests a total unwillingness to engage in honest self-evaluation. That, more than anything, is what worries me most. I reached out to you privately, respectfully, and constructively. The experience we had last week was extremely scary and I'm honestly still shaken up. Photos attached where you can see the open carabiner on the right side. I've also reached out to the company multiple times about it and originally received a response that they'd be in touch immediately. To date, a week later and after multiple follow up attempts, they've completely ignored all additional follow up attempts although I can see that all messages have been received. The negligence that day and since is alarming and frustrating. I cannot believe a business would conduct themselves in this manner and completely ignore a customer with such serous and legitimate concerns who was just trying to ensure safety of their customers, employees, and business and share it with them directly. Instead of contacting me I got a text asking for a Google review. I contacted them yet again letting them know so they could contact me directly to discuss but that final attempt to communicate was also ignored. Below is my initial correspondence to the company. Last week my daughters and I went out with my husband and a bunch of other people at 10am. I truly feel the boat was understaffed for the number of guests. The employee (non captain) was scrambling much too fast to ensure safety or compliance. They were loading groups on and off so speedily that I was concerned there was no time to check things accurately. When we were in the air my daughter said that her carabiner was opened. It was hard to see. I told her it was ok to keep her calm. As you can tell in the attached photos, it was never secured. I'm unsure why you don't have locking carabiners or at least check what you do have much more carefully. I was sick to my stomach the entire time afterward imagining what could have happened. Also, as the one staff person was running around he left the camera box unattended and it slid off the seat forcibly, slid across the floor of the boat and smashed into a younger passengers toe. It started to bleed immediately and he was in a lot of pain. The crew played it off like it was nothing--seemed they knew how to play it down as to not make it an issue. After that, the staff continued to leave the box unattended and my husband caught it a couple times before holding onto it himself for the duration of the trip. The staff person was rushing between attaching people and taking photos and doing anything else that was needed and it was too much for one person to do safely. They also allowed a person who was only riding along to parasail which added a whole ride to the trip and caused them to rush even more so they could stick to the tight schedule. There were several other things that happened that were disconcerting during our trip but the harness issue is by far the most serious. I'd like to discuss this issue and understand what steps will be taken to address it in the future so that nothing terrible happens to any passengers, crew, or your business. This isn't the kind of work that can afford rushing or carelessness and as nice as the staff person was, he was not setup for success with the staffing or materials he was provided with today. This business is unacceptable. I was going to bring my family parasailing as we're staying in Cape Cod next week. So I was checking the reviews and I saw responses and they were so unprofessional and not based off facts. One example is when the lady said they needed a refund because it got canceled and you said they would get a refund but they said they didn't. I hope they do get a refund. Another example is saying you said someone would get it made up to them if they were to get wronged. I saw the photo of one of the carabiners being open on a costumers harness while in the air and that would definitely be an unsafe/wronged situation. Another example is you saying I rate my customers... I give you 1 star as a customer- like excuse me how unprofessional. On one review there was evidence of messages sent to you and you said there was only 1 message but there was clearly more so that is just plain lying. With your over all rating being a 2.8 I would not generally go with a company with this low as a review. Pros: -customer service was great, we didn't have any problems -crew was fantastic, very professional and accommodating -our van was clean and our driver drove very safely (about 5 min drive) -our jet ski looked brand new and cleaned before we used them and our tour guide was able to take wonderful pictures for us -we had a great time on the water as it was our first time jet skiing Cons: -it was very expensive... $219 plus tax plus a 10% mandatory tip that I do not agree with, customers should decide how much they want to tip. That almost an extra $22 I paid before tax! -insurance should be recommended on the website or on the phone before customers get to the store. -phones weren't allowed on jet skis. I understand that a previous customer broke their collar bone because of an incident related to a phone on a jet ski but just have your customers sign a waiver- not all tour guides are going to want to take a picture for you with their own phone. read more

As a post-cancer "me treat," I wanted to go jet-skiing and found Dennis Parasail & Jet Ski online. When I called for more info., the rep was very pleasant, answered my questions, and I booked a jet-ski for that afternoon (Wed., 8/18/21). An hour's rental isn't cheap; all told, with optional insurance and gratuity I was in it for about $250 for 1 hour. When you first arrive, you check in, sign a release, get fitted for a vest, then load into a van head to the marina for a brief dockside safety talk and instruction. Once on your machine, you putt-putt through the channel which is a nice, slow-speed chance to get acquainted with what will become your new best friend, then get turned loose in open waters and... OooooooMmmmmmGgggggg!! That was the fastest, most fun hour EVER!! My teenage son and I did the parasailing today and had a great time. Colin and Tom were very helpful, explaining everything to us. It was a beautiful sunny day, weather was perfect, and created a great memory. A couple of negatives: it was quite pricey, as we ordered photos and the mandatory tip was a bit more than it probably should have been. Also, when we were in the air, there was another boat that came close to the one we were in. Colin explained that this boat wasn't supposed to be in that area and there could have been an accident. When we passed this boat on the way back, Colin yelled at them to "get the f--- away from our boat." I thought this was an unprofessional way to handle it, especially when you're part of a business; it makes the company look bad. Overall, I'm glad we did it. read more

Worst experience. First, I had terrible getting through. Multiple hang ups, no apologies, took twenty minutes to book. We booked parasailing and jet skis. They called us to cancel due to rain. We rescheduled for the next day, drove all the way to East Dennis with an extremely excited ten year old only to be greeted by a group of sullen teenagers who claimed they called and cancelled due to high winds. Never got a phone call. To add insult to injury, they then continued to insist they called us instead of apologizing. No attempt to make things right, left with my son crying. I wasn't sure what to expect with some mixed reviews, but all was great from the booking, paperwork, quick ride down to the marina, and prep before hopping on the jet ski. The location is ideal, and the jet skis operate like new! Also, you could go really fast out on the open ocean, unlike other places I've rented from that have the jet skis set to only go a slower speed. Hi everyone! My boyfriend Justin and I (Sabrina) went out yesterday with Autum and Mike who run Dennis Parasail and Jet Ski! This experience couldn't have gone any better it was amazing! They both were extremely professional and so much fun to be around! They made us feel extremely safe as it was our first time and really made us feel comfortable! Autum came out with us and she was so helpful and so much fun! We laughed with her so much! Also they were amazing in the fact that they really did as much as possible to try and make it as cheap as possible with no extra parking charge as they drove you down to the harbor, no extra fee for a locker and even no extra fee for pictures and videos they really went the extra mile! Spending $212.24, including taxes and tip, for parasail excursion for one's self and one's teen, never go, be misled by the company, and have your credit card charged anyway. That's what happened to me on July 21, 2016 after a web reservation with Dennis Parasail. I received an email confirmation of payment processing at 9:52 a.m., shortly after making a reservation for 5:30 p.m. that day and a second email 10 minutes later at 10:02 a.m. stating Dennis Parasail was processing my order and that I'd receive a third confirmation email. An hour passed, nothing. Two hours, nothing. Finally at 2:47 p.m. I called Dennis Parasail to check up on my reservation. I was immediately told by the nameless male representative on the phone that they had no 5:30 reservations for that day. I offered up the purchase ID number from my email (1286069174) which the employee didn't even pretend to copy down correctly. He rattled it back incorrectly and when I corrected him he immediately countered that it didn't matter, because there were no 5:30 reservations. OK... I asked if I could reserve by telephone since we were speaking and he told me no because they don't accept day of reservations after 3:00 p.m. (which it wasn't yet, cell phones have nifty call logs). Regardless, I offered to forward back my emails from the morning showing a 5:30 reservation but he completely dismissed that. I followed up by asking about my credit card which already had a pending charge for Dennis Parasail. The employee dismissively stated nothing would be going through because they didn't have a reservation for me anyway. I was highly skeptical and said as much and expressed regret at their unprofessional manner of dealing with me. Did I mention the employee was rude, sarcastic, and talked over me? Yeah, well, he did. After expressing my surprise at his lack of concern at losing an over $200 sale, I hung up and called my credit card company at 2:58 p.m. (still not 3 o'clock, hm) to inform them of the whole shake down. They had no brochures, and we couldn't get anyone to spend time explaining anything to us - basically, too overwhelmed to help us and not even paying attention. Nice experience. But would never do parasail at this place ever again. Don't get fooled by the driver. At the beginning of the ride he says when you 30 sec out put your arms up and down if you wanna go extra high ($49 a person.) Few kids went before me and they never put there arms up and down. When it was my turn he just asked "wanna go that high to?" I was like sure why not if he's asking and let other kids go that high why not do it. When we got back to shore the lady came up and said "so want us to charge on same card?" And we were confused and she said we did the "extra high one" when we didn't give any signal he just asked us. She called the driver which I think was the "owner" and I said my point all he said back "your lyin" and turned back haha. Caution: Money back guarantee is a lie. Should something go wrong, don't bother asking for it. Also, Customer service is awful! Should something go wrong, be prepared to be completely ignored. Also, I think they are very clever in extracting a 25% tip over the parasail fee. Also, their photos were all awful. We took better ones with our cameras! Save money there too. When I first stepped in i got hit with a wave of a wet dirty dog stench. Other than being expensive, boring and dirty, they try to up sale with a bunch of bull shit. While jet skiing my girlfriend and I fell in the water and nobody helped us. The jet ski was more then 50 feet away from us and the guide was too busy doing circles in the water. My gf was having major anxiety attack and they wouldn't even let us go back to the dock. Probably because they wanted there money. So we were just stuck there in the water not knowing what to do. The waves kept on tipping us over and over again. My gf was tearing up and shaking and STILL they wouldn't let us leave until the time was done. DONT COME HERE Ok, where do i start. Me and my boyfriend came to the cape, to provincetown for a little vacation. We wanted to do something fun and different, and tried the jet skiing. My 13 and 14 year old sons just went parasailing. Before booking I asked if a parent could ride on the boat and not ride the parasail. "Not a problem!" they said. When we got there they didn't have room for us. I asked a few clarification questions as I was nervous to have them go alone and I was completely blown off. The employees were rude and very unprofessional. During the boat ride, they told my children "your parents should not have let you go alone." This comment completely freaked them out and they were so nervous that they DID not get to enjoy the ride the way they should. Additionally, this company pushes extra items and upsales like crazy! THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! MONEY LAUNDERERS!! EXTREMELY RUDE and DISHONEST. PLEASE READ ALL THE 1-STAR REVIEWS BEFORE YOU TAKE A DECISION. --Took us out on the boat for parasailing, but after just a one round closed down stating bad weather. Well, that was fine. But, when we asked for our money back, the owner asked us to leave (extremely rudely). I mean, there is a way of putting things when you're working face-to-face with customers. They definitely need some customer-service training. --Looted 3 more people in front of us, one of them came back with tears demanding her money back. Believe me, I am not lying and I have videos to prove the course of these events. --I was in the parasail boat (although we couldn't do it due to bad weather - thank God!) - the captain opened the parasail and it just fell into the water. Not very efficient considering the dangerous nature of these adventurous water sports. --Customers repeatedly complained about the jet-skis not having enough fuel to complete the promised "1-hour" trip. Looks like they are fooling customers by taking them with half-filled fuel tanks, and returning in just 30 minutes stating "fuel issues". I mean, you're paying over $170 - you gotta get what you paid for right?! --The funniest part was the fact that they compare themselves to an AIRLINE !! Look at yourself people, you're just running a water sports business, you are nowhere even close to comparing yourself to an airline. And just so you know ( Maybe you haven't taken enough flights, I'm not sure) - airline companies have an extremely efficient customer service, they refund/reschedule customers for bad weather and even do the best they can to put you back FOR FREE if you have missed your airline by a few minutes. The lady there is so rude, she was unwilling to even consider accommodating her customers. --Customers repeatedly questioned the 5-star rating they have received. I'm not sure how they have this, maybe they are paying people to write reviews with all the money laundering going on ! STAY AWAY. There are many other companies offering the same services, please save your money and for the sake of your peace of mind, book other vendors. These guys are rude, nasty, cheap and foolish. read more

DANGEROUS AND HUMILIATING!!! It was my first time on a jet ski (which I made clear to them). The guide left me alone with next to no instructions on how to use it. He offered a few vague safety rules like "keep the green buoy in sight at all times." I managed to figure it out it but made some honest mistakes because none of the rules were clearly explained. When I returned to the dock (almost at the end of my time) the owner violently screamed at me (I feared he would hit me) about rules I didn't know I'd been violating (and had been honestly trying to follow). He did all of this in front of my family and the crew. When I explained that I thought I'd been following the rules as best I could (and that the guide never corrected any of my mistakes the entire time on the water), the owner continued to scream and blame me. After this, several employees reported to me that the owner was "stressed" because several of his jet-skiing guests had been in accidents over the past few days. The owner of this poorly run business has no problem humiliating his guests and doesn't seem to really care about fixing the glaring safety problems he's created by failing to train his staff. read more

What a rip off!!!! Had a 2:15 appointment got there at 1:45 Rented a wave runner for 1hr. Was only on the water for 25min using the wave runner for a cost of $135 an hour..... There shuttle driver which you have to take to get to the rentals was late and didn't have the wright amount of keys which made us late bring us to the wave runners looked at my watch when we got on the wave runner heading out the channel it was 2:45!!! then at 3:03 the instructor was waving us in to follow him back in to the channel cause our time was up. That in no way is a hour rental!!!! This company is a rip off and a scam I would never give them a second chance to take advantage of me again. read more
