I'm going to update my review and say that this place is hit or miss. I have been here and they have been amazing. I have been here and they have been way slow. It always depends on the server and the crowd. Most of the servers are really nice and helpful. They are more than willing to help accommodate my needs. The only time I have had to wait for a seat is on the weekends. Sunday morning is always crazy here. Expect a lot of old people because Jess ranch is so close. They like to stop and talk about random things. Kids eat free on some nights and that is always cool. Free kid food is always great to come by. The bargain meals on the 2 4 6 8 menu are perfect for lunch and some come with a drink. AARP cards will get you a discount and that brings in more people. read more

Tabitha was the worst server there. She was rude, disrespectful, and would cuss infront of all the customers. She was especially rude to her own co workers, she was acting like she was the manager. She also didn't check up on us and never gave us refills. She is very unprofessional and kept telling a customer rude stuff and was aggressive with all the things in the kitchen. read more

On February 6 we went to this location to celebrate my son's basketball championship in the morning our server who is name Astrid was absolutely amazing however three out of four of us got food poisoning from the grand slam which is $7.99 We tried to call the following day and spoke to manager/owner named CYNTHIA! She was very rude extremely hostile and yelled and screamed at us on the phone and told us we need a doctors note. We are paying customers who visit the location often and we have a receipt to prove we were there. As a manager/owner she has extremely poor customer service. I ordered curbside pickup from this restaurant using their app for breakfast. I get there to pick it up and they have no record of my order. A waitress named Brooklyn was exceedingly rude, said she would look for my order but kept "forgetting" to do so. She is useless as an employee and should not be working for Denny's! My order was eventually found after 50 minutes!! It was cold of course. Do not order online from this diner. I tried calling them but the call kept going to voicemail. I am so through with this Denny's. I had stopped ordering from them months ago because they always make my eggs hard. On their website menu they don;t give the option of requests. So yesterday I decided to give them a try again. I placed my order then I called to request scrambled medium scrambled eggs. I call 6 times. 4 of those times no one answers, the other two times i get an answering service stating the mailbox is full. the seventh time i finally get an answer. i request to please make my eggs scrambled medium. The lady says sure no problem. my order arrives about 15 minutes later. Not only are my eggs not even scrambled; they are fried hard. So I call them again. The lady, I think manager apologizes and says they will remake my order and bring it to me the next morning. So this morning I call, they say my order will be ready in 10 minuets. I ask about what time should I expect it I am now told I have to come get because they don;t deliver. What?? they delivered it in the first place. That is what I paid for. I paid $4.99 for delivery. I told them the reason I request delivery is I am a disabled senior otherwise I would have come. My receipt clearly says Scrambled and was verified by Chris. So even if they was scrambled too hard they would not look like what they were. 2 hard fried eggs. I was going to do this review yesterday but changed my mind when Teresa called and told me they would remake my order. but they reneged so here it is. I was never a big fan of Denny's and rarely went. I have completely changed my mind. I must say I was truly amazed at the outstanding service we had, from the minute we walked in, until we left today. Our waitress, gave us exemplary, friendly, prompt, impressive service. Everyone went all out to make our dining experience wonderful, and they all made sure to say good bye, and thank us for our business. Every single employee in Dennys, walked around with smiles, were working hard, and helping one another. Our turkey lunch was unforgettable, reasonably priced, hot, delicious, eye appealing, turkey was moist, gravy was delicious, and entire meal was full of flavor. Hats off to the chefs! It came with everything you see in the pic, plus two sides and garlic bread. This was the best experience I have ever had in a restaurant! We cannot wait to return. read more

New Years Eve and we're looking for a place to get not one but four Banana Splits. Every New Years we get a Banana Split . We called Denny's on Bear Valley road and ask if they would be open and could they make a Banana Split. When we arrived we were told they didn't make Banana Splits any more. When we said we had called ahead and ask we were told they would try. Then out of the Blue Omar showed up and said he had made only two and wasn't an expert. Yet this Denny's would NOT accept my coupon since it was not printed up. Also they do not have a reader to scan the coupon on my cell. This is because they are a franchise Denny's and not a corporate location. No where on my coupon does it say I must print it up in advance! My experience today was horrible! All of our food was undercooked and pancakes were soggy not to mention my glass of water was dirty. This location try's their very best to be the very best team they can be. I know first hand. I am apart of this team. We have our good days and our off days. Our cooks are just cooking away. So I never write reviews and this sucks that I have to write this since I normally love their food. So I went in today for the beyond burger patty since I like the way dennys makes them and that's all I wanted. I get home and open it to find out it's a black bean burger, to me those are the most disgusting burgers out there. I called the store and she told me that it's their new "beyond burger" that's not a beyond burger, it's a black bean patty, and I wished the lady who had rang me out had let me know or I wouldn't have boughten it and wasted my time and money. She assumed because her table the other day liked it that everyone is going to like it. They need to relabel everything since it is no longer the beyond patty but a nasty black bean that they charge more for but don't tell you until you get home 20 mins later to find out. Very dissatisfied,disappointed staff was descend some happy and some just not happy to be there. Our waitress kept forgetting about us and hardly came over to check on us. The food was good fresh and warm , no complaints there. When we tried to pay they wouldn't take a phone coupon, like most in California they do honor a phone coupon. Then I had a paper discount coupon for 20 percent off, which the inform me it was a holiday and they could not honor it ! I been here several times and the visits have been below average ! We didn't stay to order but I'm thinking leaving reviews could possibly help the staff. This Denny's is sadly under staffed! The cook is helping wipe down tables, there is one waiter and the restaurant was moderately busy. This has to be changed! We ended up leaving after not being acknowledged for over 15 minutes. The floors and bathrooms were filthy. But again a staff of 2-3, there is only so much that can be done. Please get more staff! read more

Went to have brunch with a couple of my friends this morning. Our first server was great. I have no complaints on her. I'm not much of a breakfast person, so I decided to order the boneless buffalo wings for myself. When I received my order. My chicken was drowning in buffalo sauce. I like a little extra sauce with my wings, but it looked like I had ordered soup instead of wings. Whatever, I proceeded to eat my chicken. Half way through my meal, I bit into a piece and it tasted and felt chewy. As if the chicken was raw. I have always presumed that the chicken was precooked before they fry it. But I'm almost positive that it was raw! This grossed me out! I could not continue with my meal. I was not going to complain, but decided that they should at least inform the cook to be a bit more careful. I did get a discount of $3 off my bill. I wasn't really looking for any compensation. I just wanted to give them a heads up. Although our second server (our original server went on break) seemed bothered by my complaint. It's only been an hour since this has occurred and now my stomache and head hurt. I'm hoping this is all in my head and I'm just grossed out. I've come to my local Denny's twice within the last 30 days around 12 AM, granted that is quite a late time my friends and I have been stuck with the same crappy waiter with the same crappy attitude. Just left this location and let me tell you. The service here was the worst I've ever had. Our waitress was not nice at all while taking our order, she looked mad the entire time, and when she brought us back our waters one cup had a giant piece of FOOD in it. We waited and waited and waited for her to come back, 20 min go by and she hasn't assisted us once. I just wanted to order another water and ask if she can bring us our syrup cuz she forgot. We waited so long we finished our food and she still never came around to ask how we're doing, a lady saw us sitting there and offered us more coffee which I thought was nice, and I kindly asked her if she could bring me a different water and she said ok and never came back with the water. I had to go up to the front to pay for everything cuz our waitress never bothered to come to us. This experience was overall a disappointment. Don't come to this Denny's. My husband and I are regulars at this location. Usually at least once every two weeks. We love the service and the food is usually exactly what we expect. However, we decided to try their delivery service since they were having a free promotion. I ordered the chicken fried steak with gravy on the side, my husband ordered the Sirloin. It got here and the first thing we noticed was that the gravy was missing. I called and spoke to the manager MJ and was told basically "try to fix it with the delivery service or go through Denny's.com." That upset me enough.
