WOW!!! I read all the negative reviews on this Denny's. They seem to be after 9pm. Understandable, but that's when Denny's is at their slowest so why try to impress that crowd? I am not knocking Denny's for that..... I believe all restaurant chains do that. I enjoy going to Denny's. But I only go on Fridays in the afternoon between 12pm and 3pm. I always ask for one waitress and one waitress only. Her name is Cheryl B. I always get great service from Cheryl. I have never had to repeat myself to her because she is that good. The other staff, Angel, McKenna, and Sandy are the best as well. Say hello to them if you go there between 7am and 3pm Monday-Friday. Cheryl is off Mondays so ask for Sandy or McKenna. Service is excellent here however, food is quite questionable. Got a Angus Mushroom Swiss Burger (or something like that) and it came completely burnt on the outside and just didn't taste like the other Angus Mushroom Swiss from other Denny's that I go to. Their hospitality is beyond amazing. Constant refills and they know when to bother you and when to leave you alone too. If you come here a lot late night/early morning, you're bound to see a fight. Simply leave the Denny's as quickly as possible (come back to pay your bill!) and get yourself to safety! Luckily Arcadia has an amazing police force. Their response time in that area is less than 2 minutes. Denny's is the best place to go to for late night food or to simply catch up with a long lost friend. Enjoy! read more

Worst denny's service ever 7/16/15 11:am, wish there was a way to give a negative rating. The waitress slammed plates and other things around, she only came by once after servingthe food, hashbrowns, and pancakes not cooked. Came here expecting the usual decent service for a decent price. The price was decent. However the service was greatly lacking. My food came out before my children's. I had to get up from my table to ask for silverware to eat with. Asked for refills on my kids drink amd ten minutes later the dishwasher brings out my drinks. And he even asked if i needed more water. Which is more than my server ever did. She dropped off the food and never returned. My kids were promised desert and now we're headed home for ice cream cause i wasnt going to wait 20 minutes to order dessert... The food tasted good. So, as long as your looking for taste not service this place would be good. However id personally go a couple more miles to try a different one. read more

I love Denny's but they need to fire door dash. They showed up an hour and a half later with a melted shake and cold food. I work one mile from Denny's by the way. Theres good days then there's bad days...what made me write this review is one bad day. Waitress came to get our order and I asked for my plate plain, I ordered a sandwich which had pieces of steak but plain(did not want veggies just meat and cheese) I asked to substitute for a different cheese. When I got my plate, kid you not, the sandwich had about 6 tiny pieces of meat and some cheese that was shredded sprinkled on top. Lightly. Didn't bother to say anything since i asked for swiss cheese cuz the waitress was nice. 2nd time, ordered same thing, substitute cheese. Got my plate and same thing! We asked the waitress this time if they had swiss cheese she says, no we don't make it with swiss. Well no duh that's why I asked to substitute. I have had a semi-bad breakfast experience at this Denny's 2 days ago and with the same manager on staff, who is rude and unprofessional with NOT a single customer service skill. At least the rest of the staff is a little friendlier. I thought we try it for dinner last night. BIG MISTAKE !! This is a 2nd complaint regarding a dinner experience with the same manager, Diane, in charge last night. 3 of us walked in and got seated right away. The restaurant didn't seem that busy but probably was short handed. The bus-person took our drink order, then 10 mins later the waiter (who seemed very busy) took our food order..... I asked him (Carlos) to bring the cup of Chili first, as my appetizer. We were seated at 7:05pm, it was 7:40pm by the time I got my Chili, the table next to us and a table 20 ft behind us were already complaining that the food was taking too long. The manager, seemed oblivious to the situation and didn't say anything to help the situation. She did NOT even walk over to my table. By the time I got my Chili, at 7:40pm, the Chili was lukewarm... the table in front of us also ordered Chili and returned it because it was cold. I returned mine as well. Later, Carlos returns the Chili and says he "heated it " I DO NOT wish to eat Microwaved food at a sit down restaurant. I told him I wanted a fresh cup. He took it away. Another 10 mins goes by and the table 20 ft behind us with 7 people, were complaining that the food was not served and she told the manager that they were bringing cold food out of the kitchen to other tables like mine, then to her surprise the waiter brings back a microwaved cup of Chili. The lady at that table spent about 2 mins complaining to the manager and motioned her to look at my table, with me looking very upset by this time, I made eye contact with her (manager) and she still did not come over to my table to acknowledge the situation. She was the same manager with an attitude 2 days ago when I took my kids there for breakfast. Long story short, we got up and left without eating anything, the time was approx. 7:50pm when we left. I refuse to return to any Dennys since you hire management that is definitely not fit for the job. Why would I have to endure the wrath of this unprofessional manager, Diane, 2 times in 1 week ??? .......I think you need to do something for me to go back there or to any Dennys again. read more

This place is a hit or miss. We go to this Denny's almost every week, sometimes we wait 10 minutes just to be seated even though restaurant was half empty. We also got microwaved macaroni that look like they just got out of the retail package. BUT all in all, they have been pretty consistent on service and food quality. read more

I was a semi regular at this Denny's and now I was asked to not come in because I don't spend enough money there and use up their electricity according to the night manager Diane Pan. Yet, they allow drunks who insult the customers on a regular basis. They look the other way and think this is ok! Very sick thinking management. I'm shocked that I'm actually giving a Denny's five stars but they earned those stars. My sister ordered a skillet breakfast for dinner and I had the turkey dipper sandwich. Oh My Gosh!!!, these dishes were perfectly executed and ridiculously delicious. My sister and I modify everything we order (substitute the ciabatta for a cheddar bun, replace the pork sausage in the skillet with grilled chicken, etc, etc) but they still nailed it. Service was great. Prompt, friendly, anticipated our needs and never showed any hint of annoyance or frustration with the fact that we asked for additional this or that no less than six or seven times. Our waiter was named Keith and he was really great. The iced tea was freshly brewed and we got prompt refills. For dessert we ordered pumpkin pancakes with whipped cinnamon cream (Yes, I know that's way too many calories and carbs but don't lecture me, you're not my mom ;-) and we were too full to eat them anyway) and these babies ROCK. We only had a few bites but I'll definitely be back for more. read more

If there was a Zero star option I would have chosen that instead. I have been to a lot of Denny's, and this by far is the worst. I'm surprised that it even has a 3 out of 5 stars.. That has to be out of pity... Anyways, I ordered the 'Chicken Fried Steak Dinner' and I was looking forward to a comforting meal, NOT! The waitress gave me a plate full of grease, first of all, it didn't even look like the picture, instead it looked like a fried piece of cardboard sitting in a puddle of grease smothered in what they call "gravy". I understand that it's just a Denny's, people reading this are probably saying "chill out bro", but honestly as a guy who loves to cook and does so on a daily basis, seeing that disaster of a meal on my plate... I am left speechless (yet I had so much to say). If your'e going to be a chef (no matter where you work) take pride in what you do, make some effort to present diners with a meal they deserve. The owner needs to either retrain its management or replace the one that worked Saturday night at 7pm. There were numerous clients at the front waiting to be seated , chaotic servers and one that was past her break asked to go and was denied....last time I checked it was against the law. The manager had no clue how to handle the front. We were rescued by Tippy (a server) who was quick, efficient and personable. A bunch of rude, impatient, middle-aged waitresses who want you to order quick, don't refill your coffee and ignore you until you're gone.

The food was average for Denys. The waitress was also ok. The problem came when we went to pay the bill. In an attempt to make things easy for the cashier the five of us just decided to pay with $20 cash and the rest on a card. They typed in 2.00 instead of $20 which was perfectly understandable. I pointed out the problem and they took my card and then presented me with a new receipt in which the problem hadn't been fixed. I pointed this out and the (what appeared to be manager) looked at me as if i was trying to pull a fast one. I then tried to explain when another manager came up and started explaining to me what happened...it was exactly what i had been saying. I then told them to just give me back the cash and we could leave it all on the card. Sure enough i check my credit card statement and i was charged twice. I called to complain and the manager didnt even apologize, she stated this happens everywhere and that i should call my bank tomorrow. I understand mistakes but come on! read more

This restaurant doesn't even deserve a star. Worst place ever. For it being christmas a few complaining customer (not me) and the manager weren't very kind to a homeless man. Customers were complaining that he smelled and was falling asleep. I noticed the man as i passed by going to the restroom but i can say he did not smell one bit. He wasnt bothering anyone. But apparently people arent to kind and decided to get the manager to kick him out of the restaurant. The insane part was that the manager gave to customers etiher a $20 gift card or a 20% off discount for the next visit plus they didnt even have to pay for their bill and the man was being kicked out but not until a couple asked them to sit with them and my sister payed for his bill. I have worked in a restaurant for 7 years as a manager and i have been through situations like this. I would rather lose money to some complaining customers than to kick a homeless man out. I would pay out of my pocket for his meal and get introuble with my boss for losing $40 in sales. Money isnt everything. Especially around this time in december we need to be kind to one another and realize some people are less fortunate than us and need a little kindness from others. I will not dine here again besides all this we waited 50 mins for our food. After this whole experience I can say your manager needs some training in how to deal with situations like this and be more nice to both sides. read more

After stopping going to this Dennys, we heard that it had been remodeled and we decided to try it again. Much to our surprise, it looked exactly the same, the same '70's décor, same slow wait staff. I arrived early for a breakfast date and asked for a glass of water. The foreign waitress brought the water but never came around again for quite a while. I now asked for coffee and more water. I did get the coffee, half a cup, but no water. I asked again when I finally got my second half cup of coffee. I guess the have a limit to how much coffee and water one customer can have. My guest arrived and again I asked for water and coffee for both of us. We both got our half cup of coffee and two juice glasses of water. We placed our order and actually got our order very quickly; too bad it wasn't right. The orders were tossed on the table much like a drive-by, two plates and they guessed wrong as to who got what. By the time we traded plates and discovered the errors, there was no one to be found to sort it out. We finally got the attention of someone who happened to be the manager and the errors were finally somewhat corrected. The over medium eggs were fried hard and the crispy bacon was stiff as a wet noodle. After our last half cup of coffee, we paid and left, no tip, and now remembering why we stopped going there. I think we will remember next time and just avoid the place. The pictures in the menu don't look anything like what you are served. read more
