Bad customer service, people look so unhappy working there as if anything is an inconvenience, especially with the lady manager. The overall experience in this store is disappointing. They had a promotion today, which brought us in but they wouldn't honor letting us earn rewards on our paid purchases nor redeem our reward for a dessert (which was expiring soon). I told the lady this doesn't make sense but she just gave a I don't care look. It's counterintuitive to the idea of appreciating loyal customers, not to mention there's nothing in the promotion details that says rewards cannot be earned or redeemed. It left us feeling that the promotion rewards policy was just made up on the spot and worked against customer loyalty rather than supporting it. The lady at the register just told that us that it is too chaotic so they're not doing it. That was poor communication because it's literally a scan on the phone that takes a second. I provided survey feedback on a poor experience. Someone by the name of Giancarlo reached out, gave him the opportunity to make it right, but all he did was provide lip service with no action behind it to make it right in the future. I went to Blaze pizza in the Glendale Galleria and the cashier failed in her explanation of the PI DAY promotion on Saturday 3/14. She told me I could order any pizza and the second pizza would be $3.14. She did NOT mention that the lesser expensive pizza would be $3.14. I ended up paying full price for the first pizza and I paid 3.14 for a one topping pizza. I enjoy scraping the cheese off the top of box as much as the next person for that umami of cheese-cardboard infused flavor but for real... First time, I let it slide. Second time, I put it in the notes. Hey, I didn't want to be a Karen either but better be safe than sorry right? Wrong, they ignored me. For everyone else, maybe don't get the high rise crust. The heat from the pizza affects the structure of the top of the cardboard box, it caves in a bit, and you get all your cheese stuck to it. It's a shame, the crust is surprisingly good for a chain. I love Blaze! I like the Alhambra location, the Pasadena location, and the South Pasadena location, but what the heck happened here? Because of the Lakers playoffs game tonight (Go Lakers!), instead of going to order, I used my Blaze app to order and also had the pizzas delivered. I've ordered a medium barbecue chicken pizza and meat balls with spicy red sauce. It was easy to order it through my app, and it was delivered within 45 minutes. It's not bad timing at all. We were thrilled the pizzas came earlier than expected. However, both of the pizzas were overcooked and burned in their oven. The pizza crust edge was scorched, and the crust at the bottom was both scorched and burnt black. It was so burned that our pizza crust was bitter. We all barely ate the toppings and threw it away. What a waste of money. These pizzas should have been called carb-less burnt pizza! Lol. Every time I get my 1 topping pizza (chicken) they LIMIT me with how much I can add on the pizza. I ordered the $13.99 build your own pizza and kind of went crazy adding so many different toppings. They made the pizza pretty nice even though mine was really thick because of the toppings. Personally, I like blaze since the pizzas are thin crusted and pretty crispy. No complaints on the result, I thought it was cooked perfectly. I was craving some pizza, so I decided to give blaze a shot. I went on a Friday night and they were fairly busy. I ordered two pizzas: the meat eater (with bacon added) and the bbq chicken. I really enjoyed both pizzas, although I do with that they had been cooked a little longer. All the ingredients were fresh and quality. I would give both pizzas 3.5/5. It took roughly 20 minutes for me to place my order and receive my food. The customer service could have been better. To the gentleman in the front with an AirPod and hoop earring and nasty attitude, I have no idea how they allow you do be customer facing for their business. I walked in with a stroller and didn't realize the door behind me didn't close and when I got to the front to order the first thing that came out of his mouth was can you close the door behind you with the most underwhelming tone and unhappy facial expression. The only good thing about my experience was the gentleman with longer hair, snap back and vision glasses. So sweet, smiling and communicating as I gave him well done instructions and he wanted to make sure it was to my liking before he packed it. I'd recruit this employee in a heart beat.
