I think I've come here three times (each time on Friday night at peak dinner time), yet each time, my partner and I haven't had to wait long for a table. Haven't been to an Olive Garden in over a decade. I was surprised to see them so busy with a 35 min wait for a party of 2. Fairly nice in there with lots of seating. Service was average, I think they are spread thin since paying and ordering apps is through the tablet on your table. But food came out quickly. Overall the food was WAY TOO SALTY but I guess that's well known. The breadsticks and the mozzarella sticks were great. The entrees, both the chicken Marsala and the tour of Italy was very bland and salty at the same time. The only flavor was salt. The soups were only average, felt like canned soup. The tour of Italy dish was supposed to come with lasagna but they were out so they replaced it with a ravioli in meat sauce. It was inedible; no clue what was in there. The pasta was also overcooked. I think if I were to go back I'd just get the breadsticks, salad, and apps. Also disappointed that the breadsticks you get with your entree do NOT come with marinara. Came on a Wednesday night, with family and had a good experience. Beatriz our waitress was really good, attentive, friendly, and answered any questions we had. We all chose the promotion where it was buy one take one home. We ordered, lasagna, spaghetti, and chicken parm. Came to celebrate a birthday and really wanted some soup and salad!! We only waited a few minutes given it was Wednesday night, we ordered drinks and a calamari appetizer to start. We got to sit near the back which was more intimate and a little darker than the other rooms. We noticed they had lighter options on the menu which works out since I plan to have lots of endless gnocchi soup! The calamari was just as good and crispy, love their spicy sauce that comes with it. The bread was warm and glad they gave us another basket when the salad and soups came. We get to dip fresh bread into the soups. I got that new spicy steak and shrimp option. It was meh. Also got the seafood which was good. My main concern though was the service. Waiter disappeared after we paid (we were still waiting on dessert which was partially wrong). There was a soup we really liked and when we asked for more, the second batch didn't look the same at all--it looked like some of the soup we requested + another soup we had also ordered. It made me worried we were given like a leftover and something not fresh like maybe someone else's table who had mixed soups together. So I don't know if this waiter didn't like us or something and gave us weird stuff. The manager-type was also reaching out to tables just to be friendly (?) And he talked with us about stuff (like his job before at OG Glendale) and our waiter saw, hope he didn't think we were complaining or anything and proceeded to snub us. When we first walked in, the hostess wasn't as welcome as the rest of the service was. But to be honest, the rest of my experience was great. Our server Beatriz was great. She was on top of everything, and never forgot about us. I got the stuffed chicken marsala, and it was good. It wasn't anything special but I enjoyed it. The calamari was not bad, I'm used to getting very rubbery calamari from other places. But it was actually pretty good here at olive gardens. I think the thing I enjoyed the most was the salad! Standouts of this deal included the spaghetti with meat sauce (plenty of meat in this sauce), the meatball topping (meatball is tender), the crispy chicken fritta topping (very crispy on outside), the zuppa toscana soup (soup with decent flavor and tasty sausages), and the breadsticks (good flavor). The weak points of this deal were the alfredo sauce (very bland) and minestrone soup (too many beans in this soup and the beans were not that flavorful). Service was amazing. Our waiter was professional, frequently checked in with us, and brought food/refills very promptly. After having a pretty good meal but pricey meal, I walked out at closing and just as the door closed, I realized I'd forgotten my to go drink. Door was locked, but the employees had seen me leave. But instead of letting me back in, they just stood at the counter. I motioned indicating I'd like to come back in and they motioned they were closed. I mimed and said I'd forgotten something and they just looked at me laughing and work amusement. Finally, one of them went to get the manager. And they just stood there looking at me and smiling and chatting at the register. Truly this became annoying as a few of their folks came walked by, joined in the laughing conversation--hopefully not at me waiting-- and one waitress finally seeing all them went back and didn't return until she'd come with the manager. By this time I was pissed, it was way longer than it needed to be. I honestly do not know why an employee can not be empowered enough to open a door to a customer they watched walked out the door. Truly a black eye on the experience and I feel the need to reach out to their corporate office at what I hope is a one time really ungracious experience. Bottomline: Victor is THE best. Come to this location and ask for Victor because he really takes care of his tables and guests. I have been coming to Olive Garden for almost my whole life, and it's become a farer and fewer between visits to Olive Garden as a whole for various reasons, but mostly the food and service was never something to write home about. Not tonight. We came today to tackle the Never Ending Pasta, we almost went somewhere else for dinner, but we're absolutely glad we took a chance at a 40-50 minute wait time. Victor came and brought the energy boost and smiles our tired group needed today. Absolutely friendly, absolutely helpful, always attentive, caring and sweet, and for once, party of 6 unanimously agrees, that this is the best service we've ever had at an Olive Garden hands down. Seriously. I'm writing this review based on the exceptional experience in service we had today because it's so hard to come by these days and we want to happily give credit where credit is due. Victor was an absolute blast to have as a server and we will definitely be coming back because of him. Food is always the same (actually today they ran out of rigatoni and had ziti as a substitute), but with how much we enjoyed ourselves and didn't feel rushed, Victor is the type of server a restaurant would be so lucky to have because he doesn't just provide quality service, he sets the bar for what above and beyond service really is. I was there for lunch today with my daughter and mother. Our server was so unfriendly, annoyed, and just made our visit extremely uncomfortable. It started with us wanting to order separate salads. She asked if we had an allergy we said no it was just a preference not to share a salad. No big deal. She made us feel extremely uncomfortable for requesting that. If there's no up charge for that why is it a big deal? Less back and forth to the table you don't want to serve. The whole time she reluctantly would return to check on us. I don't see what the problem was. She was very friendly to the table next to us but for some reason just didn't like us. I said thank you for everything she brought I was polite didn't have any extreme requests. I went to enjoy my lunch and she just made sure to make us feel so uncomfortable for being there. For a Friday night, it was not as busy as expected. Jazzmyn was our server for the past hour. When we said excellent service, she went above and beyond. The breadsticks were my favorite part of the meal, it was warm and garlicy. I always ordered the same soup which is the chicken gnocchi. It's creamy and if you dipped it with the breadstick, it's even better. My siblings and I all got an entrée and we could not finished our food. Spinach dip and chips: OMG, it was delicious. It came out hot, creamy and right amount of spice. As for the chips, it came out warm and had a garlic a d buttery flavor. Very yummy. 3.
