Seat yourself at the counter, where the action is! My husband and I are regulars at our local Denny's. Eateries like Denny's that serve breakfast all day always get my attention. From this vantage point, we also can peer into the kitchen, watch our meals being created, and often overhear banter among the cooks. They may not know our names, but we know all the servers, and we look forward to being greeted by Myrna, Sunshine, or Jess. Skillet specials are the best, but mind your fingers, since these meals really sizzle. I can't think of a better way to begin the day! read more

The Salad dressing was not very good, the broccoli was undercooked and cold. Chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes were good, although it would have been nice to have the same gravy on both the meat and the potatoes, as the potatoes had brown gravy and the steak had white gravy. I really enjoyed my meal here. I just needed a hearty food refuel but wanted to do it on a budget. I checked out their menu before going in and decided on the everyday value slam, however Ann, my server, suggested a similar value with significantly more food with it and I loved it! She also checked on me several times and made sure I had everything I needed. Even after I finished my meal and got the ticket she offered me more water which I was grateful for. I wouldn't even give it one star. Waited in my car 25 mins after being told 15 minut e wait! Well 25 minutes later and 2 groups going in and four coming out I went in and asked why everyone was seated when I was put on a list? they said they did not know I was on the list! after looking at the clipboard she says yeah there you are I wonder who wrote that then proceeded to say they had tables available!!! We were staying at the nearby Marriott Courtyard and planning to hit the road super early (5am) after check-out and wanted to grab breakfast. Denny's was right up the street (and the only place open for breakfast) based on my Yelp research of the area. I liked this Denny's. It had that old time diner feel without looking old. We were greeted and seated immediately. The service was excellent and our breakfast (an omelet and breakfast skillet) were delicious. Food is a dart throw; service always sketchy. The waitrons are far more interested in smoking out back, talking to customers and each other than getting your order correct or our of the window at all. If it's late, go to Dysart's Coldbrook Rd- always great food and service. Other hours hit a local Governors on Broadway or Stillwater. read more

My work partner and I stay at the hotel across the street. The hotel stopped serving breakfast so we decided to enjoy the outdoor seating at Denny's. Boy was this a huge mistake. I've never been to this location before and so my mom and I came to check it out tonight. There were two other tables aside from us and one of the waitresses completely ignored my mom and I for a solid 15-20 minutes while she chit chatted with a table across from us. Although the food came out really fast it was greasy and undercooked. I ordered a double cheeseburger with bacon and I never got bacon and the meat was bloody and extremely greasy and they sent it back to fix the blood problem and to but bacon on it they didn't put a new bun and so at that point it was just completely drenched in grease and blood. I barely took a bite and all that I got was grease and a bit of meat. My moms food was greasy as well and she couldn't finish hers all the way. The night staff here tends to goof off and gather in the corridor just to talk and laugh. My mom and I ended up waiting another 10 minutes before the waitress came back and asked if we needed a box. I believe that is the last time we will be going to this location. I left the restaurant without even eating anything. read more

Great food if your smashed at 2A.M. but beware of the massive diarrhea you will get after. The cooks always stare at you while there cooking the food,like it's kind of scary. Go to college near here, so of course it's staple of my life. I have been in during all hours of the day 8am, 12pm, 4pm, and 2am. It's a friendly place with a friendly staff from my experiences and parking in plentiful. Us college kids usually go here for the cheapness especially the 2,4,6,8$ menu which is a blessing! We ate breakfast here while staying in Bangor for a few days. We walked in, there were maybe 3 couples waiting for tables. They took our name and said we would be seated soon. I could see clean, empty tables already set to go for all the people waiting. But...we had to wait maybe 15 minutes to be seated. Why? Apparently the kitchen or help couldn't deal with the restaurant 3/4 full! So...the hostess stopped seating people. The food was ok, the service was fair, it took about an hour to eat breakfast...I will never go back there. This place seriously needs a manager who can manage the help! read more

We stopped at Denny's and ordered curbside pickup on Wednesday July 22nd. We had ordered online and the girls were so excited to have a Denny's picnic before continuing our journey to camp. We ordered spaghetti and meatballs, Caesar salad with chicken . Salted Carmel praline pancake and crepes. It all sounds delicious doesn't it? IT WAS NOT. First we sat at curbside pickup for 20 minutes after the guy told us he would bring the food right out, finally after a second call we got the food. When we asked for disposable utensils we were rudely told they ran out ( try eating spaghetti with your fingers) the spaghetti was crunchy, pancakes were soggy, and the salad had a strong chemical taste. I paid $68 including the tip for food my dog would not even eat. During these times of limited funds do yourself a favor and choose a different restaurant because this one will leave you feeling less than satisfied. read more

I went here about a week ago and the waitress and food were great! Today the food was good but the waitress seemed to want to do other things. She only came by our table once after we requested extra napkins but after that NEVER offered refills on our drinks. The next time she came by she had the bill ready to go and asked if we wanted anything else. When I said "No" she promptly presented me with the bill but said "no hurry." Terrible! I wanted a good breakfast, waitress set a pan in front of me with a huge sausage squirting hot grease at me, it was so hot it set on the table burning for 5 minutes, one of my eggs was broke so the yoke burnt too. The toast looked liked it was kicked around the kitchen. The coffee tasted like dirt. Diner needed to be cleaned and the person in the kitchen wouldn't stop screaming at everyone. The service was good. The breakfast was ok. My eggs were runny & I asked for onions in my hash browns they did not fry the onions like I asked they were raw.
