My sister and I went to Brewster's a couple days go. I didn't even know it existed, but she found it and it was well rated, so we decided to try it for lunch. If you're handicapped, or have a problem with stairs, be warned that there's a good flight of them and then some to get into the restaurant, which is located over the office of the hotel. It's really a bar with some tables and bar food, frankly. They have Pepsi products, which meant that we both ordered water with lemon. It was early - we got there when they'd just opened - and the waitress was nicely attentive. My sister ordered the meatball sub. I ordered the turkey bomber (turkey - which seemed to be deli slices rather than fresh roasted), on a slice of garlic bread, with gravy and Swiss cheese. I ordered mine without the cheese, because cheese is not my deal. The menu has some interesting and funny names for things - "Name This Dip" and "Balls on a Plate", and I always appreciate a sense of humor. The meatball sub was excellent, especially after my sister asked for and got a bit of extra sauce. My meal was good, but the gravy was VERY salty, and there was a ton of it. The meals were served with fresh, hot, thin-cut fries on the side - they were really the best part of the meals, frankly. But I had so much gravy on my plate that I had a stripped down poutine going - unintentionally, since I prefer ketchup on my fries. They do have Heinz ketchup, which is a plus, but they do not offer onion rings, even on their extensive appetizer menu, so that is a minus. The bathroom was clean (the door is extremely narrow, and the bathroom itself is miniscule, so be warned if you are of larger carriage), the service was good - and frankly, it was a good sized lunch for the price. But overall, nothing particularly stellar, and I'm not sure whether we'll be back. read more

Pulling up to this motel I didn't expect much but we were in a hurry and had to get something to eat before our conference. We sat ourselves and immediately got a menu and a drink order from our wonderful server, Maggie. The drinks we ordered showed up immediately and the bloody Marys were awesome. When our wings arrived they were so good they dipped themselves. I actually accidentally dropped my last wing on the ground but after I looked around and noticed how clean the floor was I figured they must mop every day so I picked it up way after five seconds and I'm still alive. fine food and drink this is not... but i love the staff and it is a GREAT place to meet up with people and be loud. Kind of reminds me of the bar on the tv show Cheers, and it really is a place "where everyone knows your name." The food is typical pub fare and pretty good. Prices are very resonable and the menu offers all types of options. I always get the ceaser salad with calamari. The beer specials are great and the mixed drinks menu is pretty good too. This place is filled with locals; and unless you go in with a few people who have been before you might be a little surprised at the atmosphere. My fathers hockey team and mothers volleyball team frequent the place. The large groups is typically what you find there. Everyone chillin drinking beers and enjoying the wing, nachos, etc... They have an outdoor deck which is really nice in the summer and they always have some good music on and current sports on their TVs. Great for groups, not for kids, not for dates. read more

Good food, big portions & great prices. Only 3 brands of beer on tap. The pub is on the 2nd floor of a motel. Without the local 2-3 groups of 'regulars' it would be dead. However, the bartender and server were great. The cook wasn't wearing a hairnet and openly conversed with a few regulars, which I have no problem with, but some guests would. I'd go there again in a group of 3-8 on a busy night, but avoid it otherwise. Just isn't a spot for a single patron to eat & have a beer like other pubs I've been to. read more

This is your not so typical local neighborhood/bar. It is upstairs in the same building of The Brewer Motor Inn. Brewster's specializes in their famous Buffalo Wings. You can either get them with or with out the bones. These are excellent. They make a homemade sauce that you can either choose mild, hot or inferno. The hotter, the better I say. In the warmer months you can sit out side on their patio beside their mascot - a large rooster. Not only is Brewster's a local hang out they also sponsor quite a few adult sport teams. You can see all the winning trophies displayed inside. The staff is really helpful and polite. read more

Great place to grab drinks. Wings are vary good and prices aren't bad. The nacho beef has no taco seasoning and were disappointing. Burgers aren't bad. The wings and drinks are what really pull this place together as I found the rest of the items I tried to be nothing special. The alcoholic kool aid is great. I have lived in the area 12 years and just went to Brewsters for the first time. Cannot beat the prices. Food was good, well priced, perfectly portioned. Well drinks and drafts great prices. I have never seen a menu so varied and funny and when have you seen stated "if you don't see what you like, just ask we'll make it" really ? But given the menu, you'd be hard pressed to not find something you like. Great food. The atmosphere is a bar, plain, simple; easy to clean no doubt. A great local place not a place for the snobby; perfect. Had a good time while there; will visit again and again. read more
