Called to order take-out using their automated attendant, but it is so bad it messed everything up and struggled to understand my complicated replies like "No" during the 4 upsell prompts, so I hung up. Some zombie from a live call center called me back telling me I had to pay and didn't understand that I didn't want their food because it was the wrong order. I asked to speak with a supervisor to fix it and they hung up. Now I'm at Lux cafe, which is better food anyway (at a better price too). Don't waste your time on Denny's takeout. Nasty just nasty! I walked in on September Labor Day and was ignored for 29 minutes! One waitress on duty at the time! It took 20 minutes to get her to notice me and when she did she asked what I wanted to eat, which I wanted the fish. She then placed the order and then after 5 minutes came back and said she didn't have any fish m. I chose another which was steak and eggs with scrambled eggs with crispy hash browns and a side of white toast. Coffee came and the waitress asked if I wanted vanilla cream or regular cream. No vanilla after 5 minutes waiting! Steak comes 40 minutes later and it's burnt to a crisp and eggs and hash browns are cold as ice! Never eat here again! Goodbye! read more

For a diner I had a great meal and service here today. I ordered the steak and eggs and it was very well seasoned hashbrowns were crispy and the scrambled eggs with cheese English muffin were solid. The staff there was working their tails off. I was so impressed with how many times I was asked do I want more coffee or water. When they were not taking orders or filling drinks, they were cleaning the restaurant. I was incredibly surprised since most places, I go to staff huddles in a corner, gossips, and spends the day checking their phone. I ate at the Cracker Barrel next to it a week or two ago, and as always the service was good, but the hash brown casserole was not up to par, and it seemed like a lot of heat and serve as opposed to made fresh when you order it. Located immediately next to the exit from I-94, this Denny's has plenty of parking and is in good condition. I was greeted at the door and offered my choice of tables. Over the course of the hour that I was here (I couldn't sleep, figured I might as well get coffee and breakfast), the place slowly got busier with a bunch of regulars who came and went. My waitress took care of me and was attentive for refilling coffee and getting my order complete. Ham and cheese omelet was good with plenty of stuffing and presented nicely with sliced tomatoes as I declined the potatoes and the toast. I'm doing a keto diet so no carbs for me. Family atmosphere. We orderd turkey melt sandwiches with Fris. The fries is amazing. I think fries never fails :) Tge sandwiches tasted good actually. It was filled with turkey, stuffing, and cranberry sauce. The total of the 2 sandwichs was 20$. Only thing about food that i didn't like, is the amount of butter on the toast sides. It made it impossible to finish the sandwich and it felt so greasy. Also, I suggest rhe staff to work on smiling, timming and smart observations. Walked in to a nearly empty restaurant to have to wait nearly 5 minutes until a waiter finally decided to seat us. For a person that just wanted something to eat and coffee that is consistent okay... Bad choice. More than 10 minutes after I noticed I had been seated for a while I finally had to stand up and get a waitress to take my order. She then proceeded to lie to my face about not seeing me sitting there after she looked me in the eye walking by three times. Coffee mediocre. Water had a lemon seed stuck to the inside of the gladd, water did not come with lemon slice and the seed was very much stuck on. Did not find that until I was halfway through the water... Order was taken by manager, is can only assume I was labeled as hostile custom for walking up to the counter to see what was going on about placing my order. Food came, best part of the visit. And that was like saying the best part of the firework show was the sparklers. The constant pestering about how it was not really her fault and how sorry she was for not knowing... It was just painful to have to to listen to when she and I knew she was lying and she knew that I knew she was. So, my son and I went there for brunch and although they were busy, it seemed they were more than able to get their orders out to the customers. We received our water and coffees then placed order: it was a good solid 25 minutes and still no order which is not like the old Denny's I have been accustomed to... We then stated that if it was not going to be in the next minute we were leaving... Our server went to check and we overheard her here that that order will be another 20 minutes! We get up and informed them that we were leaving only to be told that our order would be right up. As we checked out they rang us up for the full order & it took two servers to try and decipher through their mess up. We waited 5 minutes before any hostess ever approached the counter; and then stated that she was the only one working, as if looking for sympathy for being rude. Once we sat down, there was an overwhelming stench of rotten feet throughout the dining room. We waited another 5-10 minutes before the waitress came up to us, without a smile in her voice or on her face. While we ordered she did not suggestive sell, nor did she openly accept our order. She, (Cassie) argued with us, stated there were more than one of menu items, and she couldn't pin-point what we were trying to order. She was also very unhelpful with questions, as if she was inexperienced. Looking in the kitchen, the staff (one woman one man) wore no hats or protection for their hair; and we heard cussing throughout our visit- very unprofessional in a family setting. When our food was finally delivered, there were remaining food particles from someone else's order on my dish. I asked for a condiment on the side after my food arrived, and Cassie looked disgusted. A table next to mine asked for a rEfill, and all Cassie said was it would have to wait because nothing from the previous shift was done. All she did was complain for the duration of our visit. Any customers that entered she stated "I'll be with you when I get to you." When checking into tables, she did not even approach ours, but merely yelled through the kitchen window in our direction. I understand being desperate for staff, but when they are this rude to their customers I know they should be let go. Overall, food is fine, service is awful. read more

Went here for breakfast on 2/10/18 and the cook was yelling at the waitress for giving him too many orders. Another customer at the table sent his food back and the cook yelled out fuck him he doesn't need it that way. Our food was burnt and over done but we were afraid of sending our food back because he probably would spit in it. I am shocked of the way this cook was. Very inappropriate. Came to our table 3 times the entire time. One to take the order. Two to drop it off and three to five us the check. Never seen a manager make themself known. Brought my elderly parents for breakfast. We were impolitely told to wait to be seated. My mom was having a hard time standing, so we asked the same woman, Dawn, if we could sit. Ate at this Denny's for the first time ever today. I obviously went after the renovations because this place is not dirty and run down like several reviews on some sites have said. Went with my two children and my wife. Server seemed a little overwhelmed but she was very nice. The food was pretty good. I got a make your own grand slam and the pancakes definitely could have been warmer. My wife's moons over my hammy sandwhich had warm bread but cold meat and eggs inside; a telltale sign it had been in the window too long. Prices are very good for what you get, you can get full here for the price of a fast food value meal.
