Today we got the following: Ultimate Omelette - As I am a light eater, my buddy and I decided to split this order. Scramble Egg Cheddar Breakfast - Good. Understandable that it looks like all the past "Grand Slam" specials are gone. Well, the specials are still here, but NOT the extremely low prices. It is probably why my buddy really likes this brand. Either way, we all continue to be loyal customers to this brand. Ambiance - Consistent brand, consistent interior; see pictures. Plenty of seating, table, booth, counter, etc. Plenty of mall parking. Open 7 days a week; see their website for specific hours. Service - 5 Stars. Shari was extremely professional and funny. I think she was flirting with my VERY senior friend, lol. And he did NOT even order anything (he ate breakfast at GSR). Price - $24 + generous tip. Inexpensive considering this feeds 3 people (2 of which are light eaters). Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 1953 and your 1500+ locations (2024). From "Danny's Donut shop" to what you have accomplished is amazing! I know the restaurant industry is hard, and noticed that since my last visit (last review), your company has lost approximately half of its locations; I wish you the best and will continue to support as much as I can. read more

Came here for breakfast on Veteran's Day 2025. Each year they offer a free Grand Slam to Active duty or former military veterans. This Denny's was very good and service was friendly prompt and very respectful. Food was out very quickly and it was a very pleasant experience. I have no complaints. Servers were friendly and worked with smiles. Will definitely return to this location. read more

We have been eating at this location for a couple years now. Have never had a bad experience here. Food is airways fresh and hot. Always exactly what we ordered. I forget our waitresses name, but she was the sweetest, very plesent and on top of her game. The restaurant was busy busy, lunch on a Saturday. But the service did not suffer from it. As well as tables were staying bussed and cleaned. The Hubby and I shared a full order of nachos, extra meat, extra nacho cheese and extra avocado with a side of jalopenos. It was at delicious. When we get down to the last few chips, we are both stuffed. Always great and filling. I prefer the nachos here better than any of the Mexican restaurants around here. read more

I know I reviewed Denny's about 24 days ago, but something happened on Wednesday that I think really shows the quality of service they give you and how connected they are to the Carson City community. Denny's is like a meeting place for friends, you see the same people in their frequently, all the staff know who their customers are down to the point where they know what drinks we're having how we like our hamburgers, how we like our eggs it's crazy how they seem to remember everyone. Every time I go in, I'm greeted by my name and typically they'll ask me if I want my usual, every now and then just to shake things up. So every two weeks I go to a meeting and afterwards between five and seven people go to Denny's as a group we typically sit in the back in the booth that can hold that many people and it's kind of like a usual thing. We all order separately, but there's never a problem with individual checks and if there's ever a problem with anything they always fix it. So on this past Wednesday at 3 o'clock as I walked into Denny's, I saw Sherri setting up our table, she had the menus and the knives and forks and napkins all set out, and I left when I came in and said how did you know to get the table ready? She said I looked out and I saw you park your car and saw some of the other familiar faces and figured you were gonna want to sit at your table. Now that that's what I call knowing who your customer base is, Denny's is not a downtown fancy yuppie kind of restaurant. It's just a comfortable local place where you're treated like your the biggest spender in town. Thank you, Russell for having such an amazing staff, I just think that exceptional service should be rewarded. Thank you Sherri for always being so sweet and friendly making us laugh making us so comfortable and getting our orders perfect. As good a Denny's as any other I've visited! Quickly greeted and sat down. Our server was nice, attentive throughout our visit and made sure we had everything we needed. Food came out quickly. I ordered the red white and blue pancake meal. My pancakes were bomb, my eggs over medium were cooked perfectly, my hash browns were great and a huge portion. I asked for extra crispy bacon and got just normal bacon but overall it was a great meal! My husband got the cinnamon roll pancakes with eggs over medium and did not like his meal. He said his eggs were rubbery and he didn't like the pancakes. We also had our niece and nephew with us who got a burger and some kids Mac and they seemed to enjoy themselves. i like the north carson denny's restaurant for comfort food for my wife and i. we eat there often. for monday, 29, 2o25, we were waited on by jo and cheri 2 and our manager was christine. they are always experts in customer service, being very attentive. our manager's habit is to visit customers' tables and confirm we are satisfied! we really enjoy our pancakes (no "skin" on them,) and our well prepared omelets. we go there often because we are treated so well by all the waitstaff/managers. read more

Not to be a Karen but I went in for mimosas with my friend and I gave the lady my ID (I am 22) She did not believe me and said that police sit outside dennys just in case I was giving her a fake ID. I didn't know what to say I kept telling her I was 22 and she said I looked really young and kept telling me to tell her my age when I literally told her 22 and gave her my DRIVER LICENSE so she makes a big deal out of it and then takes it to her manager and realizes that's my age. She apologized after and said that I just looked really young but honestly I felt like I should've gotten this mimosas for free. This happened a while back I forgot the lady's name but was Hispanic as well I think I just know she spoke Spanish cause I've gone to eat with my mom and she had serve us before and my mom and her were talking in Spanish. read more

Diner is the same and wasn't plannng on coming back after last time but Mom was famished and it was on our way. They were very busy on a Sunday afternoon. I got the Beetleburger and Mom got the 55+ Starter. I asked for avocado on my burger, as they had signs about adding avocados, but they said that the avocados are hard so they aren't offering them. The burger was hot, juicy, and large. Very filling and good. Mom loved her eggs, toast, and hash browns and was full at the end. Service was slow due to being busy including drinks and refills. I had a coupon for 25% off whole ticket given to me on last visit. It wasn't honored. I was given 15% instead as a consolation. Apparently the previous manager gave me an EXPIRED coupon to mollify me on my last visit. It expired in 2019 and I didn't check. He said, "This will be good for the next visit"...he's a liar and no longer there so....Im done Dennys! read more

Ash and Sai were the best!! They were super caring and made sure we were well taken care of. Although while waiting for our food, what seemed like the manager on shift took over the kitchen and criticized every single staff member. Especially ones that were training. Her attitude was extremely unprofessional and shouldn't have the position of being a manager if all she can do is tell the hardworking staff that they aren't doing good enough. More kitchen staff required last two visits have taken too long! Today they had a one hour delay, very disappointing.

Food was eh but our sever Ashley was super cool and amazing even tho she was training she did really good and was super attentive.

I don't visit Denny's much, but the last couple times I've gone it's been horrible from dirty table , stagnant food, and bad service I feel bad even writing this , I loved Denny's as a child but the one in Carson is just not hitting on so many levels hopefully they improve soon ! read more

Hey Carson Denny's...thanks? Fries were stale and wet. The dessert was just a broken piece of pound cake with half of a slice of cheese cake with no strawberries. The grilled cheese melts were squished flat as though they were trying to speed up grilling by pressing it. The cucumber salad we ordered came in a 2 ounce condiment cup. I would not recommend anybody to eat there. Kitchen is filthy. I mean, really filthy. All the food is heat and eat. And they swapped out new labels and put it on the old food. I'm surprised they haven't been sued yet. The kitchen grill caught on fire for how dirty it was underneath there. Cooks Don't switch out gloves or wash their hands. Not too many friendly staff members. They smile to your face. And then they talk about them behind the corner. And they cross contaminated food. SO SAVE YOUR STOMACH. I don't recommend using the Denny's app to order food. I ordered $13.22 worth of food and the app for some reason charged me three times and then when I approached the manager by it, he didn't seem to care and he kind of chuckled as if the amount was Irrelevant. He said I'll take your information and I'll look into it within the next couple of days. He told me to call back on Monday to see what his determination was. I asked him if he can just refund me the two additional times that it was charged and he said absolutely not that he has to look into it when I showed him my bank statement that showed three charges. I understand that it might take a couple days to get the money back, but he showed zero sympathy for the situation. read more
