Honestly, I have not been to Denny's in a very long time, this place was so good! We came in party of 6 got seated pretty quickly and got our food quick as well. They were super attentive my coffee was never not filled. Loveee that! The pancake were so good, the birthday pancakes didn't even need syrup. The veggie omelette omg so good and fulfilling , I was full till lunch for sure! The salad was fresh and good. It was great overall, I had no complaints.

This is a great place to have a nice quiet breakfast that's located close to the Harbor. The staff here is very attentive and always friendly.

Jemmie is a wonderful, courteous, kind waitress. Our family will definitely be back here again for late night dinner/breakfast maybe even lunch lol. The food was good, it's Dennys so the pancakes are always spot on. Sabrina, order the patty melt, with mashed potatoes. We each enjoyed our choices. We can see the harbor from the large open circular seating. I prefer this Dana Point location compared to our local ones !

Everything. The eggs were all we needed. Everything outdid our expectations the experience was fabulous. Would 100% recommend.

We stopped here from the Sawdust Art Festival before driving home because we got the munchies! This Denny's was different from any others we've visited. It definitely had the retro diner vibe. When we arrived we didn't wait too long before we were seated in a booth. Our server came out with the menus and gave us a few minutes to peruse the offerings. We hadn't been to a Denny's in years and we were surprised at how extensive the menu was. We opted to order from the 55+ menu. He chose the scrambled egg with cheese and I ordered the starter meal. Both plates came out hot and both were very tasty. I ordered the gluten free English muffin and although it was buttered it did not taste appetizing and the 2 pieces of bacon were tiny. Everything else was very satisfying. Our server was a man of few words but he was friendly and very attentive. We noticed he was pretty busy bussing as well. The coffee was very good and our meals really hit the spot. This diner does outdoor seating on the street side! It's very clean and bright. The restroom was also clean. This was a great spot to settle our cravings and we would not hesitate to return.

The food here is always delicious, whatever the chef is doing back there he needs to keep it up. The coffee this time was unfortunately very cold and we did not get very good service. I feel like the service here is lackluster but the ambiance and location somewhat make up for it. If it wasn't for the location I probably would be turned away by the cold coffee and not attentive employees. Other than that I usually have a great time here. Just wish it was a little more friendly.

Terrible food. Terrible service. I don't know how you burn one piece of toast black and fail to even warm the other side. Unbelievable.

The only mild setback wa that we were seated in the back, near where someone was power washing some floor mats, and we could hear (and smell) the process. He finished before we got our food, so it wasn't a big deal. The server was very nice and the food was excellent. Everything was reasonably priced for the area it's in.

This time, however, the experience was disappointing and honestly made us feel bad in front of our companions, whom we had invited. We drove 30 minutes on a Saturday morning in 90-degree summer heat to have breakfast at this restaurant, so we were really looking forward to enjoying the experience. Unfortunately, it turned into a very disappointing visit. After waiting about 45 minutes for a table which is understandable during busy weekend hours, we were seated outside in front on the sidewalk, with the sun hitting half of the table. I ended up sitting in the corner with an umbrella post directly in front of me to avoid the sun. We asked for another table inside or somewhere with complete shade, but were told it would take a while because there wasn't another table available for eight. What made the situation more concerning was that our party included a pregnant mother and young children, who by any standard needed a little extra attention and comfort in that heat. Our waiter was very polite and attentive, but one of the plates was forgotten and arrived about 20 minutes after everyone else had been served. We then ordered pancakes after meals, which took another 40 minutes to arrive after checking on them twice!!! By that time, everyone was extremely hot and uncomfortable, and we couldn't even stay to enjoy them--which was the main reason we had to come here. Unfortunately, no apology was offered for the mess up, delays or the uncomfortable seating situation. We sincerely hope management takes this feedback seriously. We still like this restaurant and have recommended it for years, but this visit fell far below our expectations. Better accommodations during extreme summer heat and more timely food service would have made a big difference.

When the FIFA World Cup starts, I love watching international football (soccer). For years, I was looking for the perfect place to watch the matches after my old favorite spot closed. I've been coming to The Point for more than 20 years, but I never realized what an amazing place it was to watch sports until the World Cup. The atmosphere is incredible. The sound system is fantastic, every TV is tuned to the same game with the live match audio, and no matter where you sit, you have a great view of multiple screens. It feels like you're inside the stadium, surrounded by fans who share the same passion for the beautiful game. I saw people from different backgrounds coming together, cheering, laughing, and enjoying the matches as one community. That's what sports are all about--unity and friendship. I want to thank everyone at The Point Restaurant & Bar for creating such a welcoming place for our community. Whether you're there to watch your favorite sport, enjoy a cold beer or another drink, or have a delicious meal, The Point has something for everyone. I highly recommend The Point Restaurant & Bar to anyone looking for a great place to watch sports, relax, and spend time with friends and family. There is ONE window for ordering and one where the food comes out. After waiting 40 minutes in line, my friend and I didn't even want food anymore so we walked over to the mobile bar/tent. This serves mainly alcohol but you are allowed to order NA drinks here too. But what doesn't make sense is that you can order soda and milkshakes at the tent, but they still come from the one window that is already slammed with orders. My friend ordered a soda and was told it would come out quickly. We waited for about 10 minutes and I decided to ask about her drink and the employee handed me a Coke that was sitting there under her name. We were standing by the pick up window the whole time so I'm not sure why he didn't call her name when he was calling everybody elses'? Best part is that after we started to walk away, one of the employees came out and made an announcement that you can order drinks from the cart. Half the queue got out of line and moved over there... This should be on a sign somewhere so that you can get in the correct line and not wait forever to order.

Great service and friendly staff. Everyone is very knowledgeable and shares little tidbits about the wine while you enjoy. A few Suggestions / observations: 1. The self service wine area has a massive wine display that limits access to patrons who are there. A thin long belly bar would make it much more social and accessible. Constantly feel like I am bumping into people or wine bottles just to grab a taster then standing in a corner to get out of the way. 2. The massive LED tv's would be so nice if there was nature or a beach scene or something to set the ambiance. Having a massive advertisement of an appetizer stock photo and happy hour fliers illuminating half the store is not enjoyable, they could be utilized in a much nicer format. 3. Would love to see even more of the self serve wine tasting dispensers in the future! They are a hit and are such a fun concept.
