If I could give this 0 stars I would. A server named Benjamin "helped" us and he was the biggest jerk. When we ordered drinks he just took the order and didn't really acknowledge us. There was 5 of us and he didn't give us straws until we had to ask and even then he only gave us 2 straws. When he came by 10 minutes later to take our order, he didn't even look at us but looked as if he was taking the table's order since he was staring at it. He was very rude and was avoiding us. He never refilled ANY of our drinks and he acted inconvenienced that he had to bring out the rest of my friend's order. When he finally brought out more water he just brought a glass pitcher type thing and put it on the table like he was inconvenienced again. If I ever come back to this location I will refuse to be seated at his tables. read more

Typical Denny's, like everywhere else in the US. This place was packed after the bars/club which was around 2am. 95% of all the customers were the girls were the ones who rejected you on the dance floor or the guys who gave you the dirty look because all of you were out there with the same goal: to prowl. They managed to get our party of 9 seated pretty quickly so that was a plus. The food took an average of 15 minutes which isn't too bad for 2am with a restaurant filled with drunks. read more

We come to Denny's for variety of the menu and consistently tasty food and the nearby location. we have had occasional problems at this Denny's with hot food being served at room temperature. this was the worst Denny's experience I have ever had: hair in the food, cold food, other food mixed with our made food, dirty cup, had to wait for seating while the staff chatted up. it rely felt like either no management was present, or the onsite manager didn't give a crap. attentive supervision could have fixed every problem these children were causing. read more

When she asked for new toast, they served her the same toast! The waitress could care less nor could the Manager. My Husband, 1 year old daughter and I were in town for a birthday and were staying at the Holiday Inn in the same parking lot. Went here for Breakfast. Exact foursquare check in time= 9:08 am on Sept 14, 2012. We were sat. Got my daughter all strapped into her seat and she was very content coloring. Which is a first. Was looking forward to a relaxing breakfast while my daughter was distracted. So I order a coffee and my Husband asks for Water with Lemon. The lady asks him "would you like to buy our sunshine water for 99cents" My husband a little confused by the question confusingly answered "Uuh Noo. Just regular water with some lemon on the side" So the lady brings the water and my coffee and scurried away real quick. Had to flag her down to ask her for our lemon. Took a few minutes to get them and comes back with two wedges that literally looked like they were picked out of the trash can and sucked on already. With other nasty-ness on the plate. They were nasty looking. My husband and I were so disgusted we lost our appetite. If they are serving us lemons like that what else are they going to do to our actual food?!?! We didn't want to find out. I took a picture of them. And we left. Super upset that I had to interrupt my child from enjoying her coloring. So, I went to this Denny's at 4 am yesterday and probably witnessed the worse customer service in the history of dining. I would honestly be surprised if it could get worse. Our waiter was very half-ass. He would never give us an item, he would just set it at the edge of the table and walk away. For example, he set our waters at the edge of the table, went into his pocket, pulled out straws, and tossed it on the table and walked away. Okay, that's whatever. We were thinking he is having a bad day it happens, I'm a cocktail server, we get those days. But what really got to me is he never checked on our table. I watched their cooks go outside and take their smoke break while blasting their subs from their cars.... Even the manager was obvious to me and the rest of the restaurant. I hope dennys shapes up or closes its doors. It's a shame an establishment like that is allowing their employees to run away their business.... Nobody was there to host me when I got at the diner, so I was seated by myself! Bourbon bacon burger was mediocre; not expected better quality from Denny's. To my surprise, there was no WiFi available. Unfortunately I have to say that I may never come back here though it's very close to my school, CSUF. Came here with a friend for pancakes nothing else. I wasn't exactly hungry but was craving the turkey bacon. We came here and ordered unlimited stack of pancakes and 2 strips of turkey bacon. When I ordered the waitress sounded very judgmental about the small amount of food we had ordered. My friend had the pancakes I had the turkey bacon. I took a pancake from my friend and they took part of my turkey bacon. When my friend had ordered more pancakes the waitress then told us "you aren't exactly allowed to share so I'll have to charge you a stack of pancakes to make it okay." My friend and I were taken back. I was kind of embarrassed because I didn't know we weren't allowed to share. I always share with my family or friends and never has a waiter/waitress said anything until her. I said it was okay, it didn't make sense because she was going to charge us for a stack of pancakes that we never got. My friend had then decided that they didn't want the pancakes anymore and called the waitress over to cancel it and bring us the check when she rudely replied "oh but I already sent the order but okay let me see what I can do." When she came with the check she told us "You sure you don't want the pancakes anymore?" And we were sure. Not only was she rude but made us feel ashamed. If it wasn't okay to share then she should have mentioned it when we were ordering even if she wasn't certain that we were going to share she still should have said something so we would be aware and order a stack of pancakes. I don't remember the waitress's name but I can find it on the receipt. This location seems to have an issue with customer service. This incident has turned me off of Denny's. Work starts at 5:30. Went in for breakfast before work at 4:15 am, I got there at 4:20 am, 5 minutes later than my coworkers. They go to this Denny's before work all the time, they always get there at 4:15 and leave at 5:00. They ordered right when they got there, and I ordered about 10 minutes later. . The diner was empty, only 3 parties and there was one waitress and one cook. They got their food at about 4:40 and scarfed it down, as i sat there not eating. Then when it was time to go I had to ask her to just give it to me to go? She didn't apologize And she said "oh it's right here" and you could tell it had been sitting there under the heat lamp. I've been here a couple of times on those days when you are staying late on campus (CSUF in this case) and you just want some quick food without driving too far. When I said quick, I meant "quick." For the most part, this place did not meet that requirement. I remember this one specific night when I got so mad at the workers and I had to walk to them to take our orders. It was around 11pm on Monday night, I was with a group of friends and the restaurant seemed vacant at the time we got there. The waiters obviously saw us, but left us waiting for the next 30-40 minutes. After I've been observing them just chit-chatting with each other, I couldn't hold it in anymore. So I walked up to one of the waiters and complain. I would not have minded too much if it was busy, but it was NOT! In addition, the food came out pretty late and I was just pissed for the whole time.. Not to mention I was very starving that night -_- They should be thankful that I even paid for the food.! read more

My first one star review and it was deservedly earned. Cannot fathom how it is possible to mess up this bad. So we ordered the new special peanut butter pancake bites which were served without the peanut butter sauce which we had to ask for. Next came the 15 minute wait for our server to ask us what we actually wanted to order. The food came out promptly once we placed our order but the order was wrong. The skillet I ordered came without meat but overall the food had nothing else wrong with it. We then proceeded to order the new peanut butter pie which was delicious. Upon completion of the meal we had to wait another 15 minutes to receive our check only after asking our server for it. Not too sure how this service can get so bad it turned a 45 minute breakfast into nearly an hour and a half. Maybe the server was frazzled, maybe the cook was super slammed in the back i don't know. All I know is that this was one of the worst services in history. Just don't come here on a Wednesday morning and expect to get quick service. read more

Over 20 minutes to take the order, another 10 minutes after dropping food off to see if we wanted anything else. Then another 20 minutes after I've eaten to ask if I need the check or anything else. Put it this way I had enough time to write this up and I still don't have my check. The kids with me all have gone to the restroom while I've sat here waiting for the check! We waited over thirty minutes at 1:00AM. We kept asking if we could just sit down to which the hostess responded that they were short staffed. We understood that they were short staffed but just wanted to sit. It was late and were were all tired. I'm in here early this afternoon, and I make sure to come before two pm so that I could eat their oatmeal. (I don't know what it is with their oatmeal but it's my favorite) I come in to have a young man point me at a table and sits me and my friend there. We proceed to wait 5-10 minutes for the server to come back and actually take our drink order. We say we're ready to order food as well, and I order a grand slam breakfast with the oatmeal. The server says "oh we stop serving oatmeal at like ten". I pointed at the menu saying that it says here it's available until 2. He said chef isn't making it anymore today. I figured something else out for food, but I'm very disappointed. I know that it's "just Denny's" but if the menu says available until 2, then it should serve the item until then. read more

Oh boy oh boy where do I begin. I rarely do reviews unless it is extremely positive or extremely negative. In this case I just had to leave a negative review based on my experience here. The place didn't have good reviews to begin with but at the moment it was the closest Deny's around us so we had to give it the benefit of the doubt. From the moment we walked in, it was utter chaos, unorganized, you couldn't tell which line was to pay and which one was to wait to be seated so we stood in a line that was by the cashier. After a few minutes of having wasted our time in the wrong line, a lady comes in outta nowhere and apologizes for the wait and takes out a clipboard that apparently was to be used to write your name down to be next on the list. By this point a few people that had came after us stole our position in line and cut in front of us. This was already starting bad, next it took literally about 25-30 minutes to get seated, now I know everyone's busy and it was a weekend but there were LITERALLY about 20 clean and unoccupied tables ready and no one called us up! To makes matter worse it wasn't until we sat down that we noticed that people who came after us had already been sitting down for God knows how long now. Oh man, and then our nightmare begins, we already knew what to order because we know how long it takes for the server to take our order so we made sure to order our food along with our drinks. I don't remember our server's name but she was a Hispanic lady, she wasn't mean but she seemed very fast paced and not in a good way, she was rushing the whole time which only added to more confusion on her part. After we gave our order and after waiting for an hour an 10 minutes we decided to approach them about our food, then all of a sudden our food "magically" appears after we asked for it. What the hell? Are you serious food was cold and it had been sitting there and no one even noticed?? Keep in mind our table was right next to the cashier so it was practically impossible to not have noticed us!! Unbelievable, of course we had to walk away, keep in mind also we were extremely hungry but the experience here was horrible from beginning to end.
