Benjamin is a thief and should be ashamed of his poor quality service and the way he treats his customers. 6 of us bought food last night and each group of 2 requested separate checks for the bill. The meal went fine besides the fact that it took forever to get any service at all and when we finally did get someone's attention they were very slow at ordering and delivering our food. After we finished our meal we went up to the register to pay for our food and Benjamin and his manager rang us up individually. First Benjamin tried to ring up more expensive items on the menu then what we ordered/ate so we made him change the amount so it was correct. I paid for my girlfriend and myself, then the next group of two paid their combined bill (I saw him give 30 dollars to Benjamin) and then the next group paid their combined bill. The manager, the waiter Benjamin and myself all witnessed the entire process happen, and when we were ready to leave, woop there's a twist! Benjamin starts accusing us of still having two more meals to pay for and a shake after everyone ALREADY paid for all that they ate/ordered. And no one even ordered a shake nor drank one! He tried to play it off like we were trying to steal from him or something but we all paid him already so why would we have done that. Besides the fact that all of us paid for TWO meals already on each bill....and three of us paid...so that means there was 6 meals and 6 people. But he continued to lie about how we still owed him another $20.00. After trying to work out the problem with him and figure out why he was trying to charge us for 8 meals he started getting upset and called the manager over to the register who threatened to call the police if we didn't pay the remaining $20. I tried to explain to the manager that we don't owe $20 and showed him the proof we paid for the 6 meals we ordered, but that still didn't go anywhere..he just kept repeating "pay me the 19.78 or your going to jail, the police are on the way" so we decided that we were leaving because we had somewhere to be and we didn't have time for their nonsense. After leaving the manager and Benjamin followed us out of the restaurant and swore at us in the parking lot. I called after we left to see if they figured out their mistake yet but all I received was rude comments such as "your going to jail" "you stole from us" "the police will find you" We would never skip out on a bill but if I could've taken my tip back i sure would've after you put me through all that bull crap Benjamin. Ordered delivery through uber eats and was notified by my Uber driver that Denny's gave my food to the WRONG PERSON and REFUSED to even address the issue. I waited 2 hours for food that never came. They would NOT remake the order. They would NOT fix the issue with the driver. I was still willing to wait and pay for my food but they REFUSED TO REMAKE IT. During a pandemic, when restaurants are STRUGGLING and people are struggling, it's even more important to do business correctly. I will NEVER return to this Denny's. I've notified everyone I know (mostly college students in this area) not to bother. I have low expectations for Denny's and I was still disappointed. Worst Denny's ever. Traveled a long way to meet a friend. Came threw the door and was greeted with a smile. The hospitality did not last long. I was seated for 2 people but 3 minutes later I was told if I do not order I have to leave. Garnet there is a lot of homeless in the area but, come on. The place was empty. 30 tables and 2 were in use. I explained my friend lives in the neiborhood and is on her way. LOUISE THE HOSTES treats everyone like there homeless. Sat at the bar top the server Benjamin was RIGHT THERE with my coffee AND KEPT IT FULL. Promptly took my order, it came out quickly, hot, and as good as can be expected. First off, super busy in here tonight. We did not have to wait very long for our table. The food…read morewas good and the prices were fair. We had a couple of Marg of the Month variety, and they did not disappoint. We all had the 3 for me combos. I had the burger as did wifey. Daughter had the sirloin that was cooked perfectly. The service was fine, and I really can't blame them for running around due to the volume tonight, they screws up one drink, and she comped that drink, well done. Thank you to Megan for your help and you did a good job. Overall this is a typical Chili's, middle of the road dining and nothing wrong at all. The only thing that kept this from a 5-star is the noise. Deafening in here, it really their fault I guess.
