They also have wholesome foods such as breakfast sandwiches and burritos which-- if I didn't have dinner plans after my study session-- is always appreciated as too often the food at coffee shops are sugary pastries and a bunch of empty calories. Service was friendly and personable. Communitea shows its dedication to being a warm, welcoming third-space environment. There is a shelf filled with board games and a kids play area (if you have one of those). They have assorted merchandise like coffee beans, plants, mugs, chips & snacks, etc.. There were flyers for all types of events throughout the month. I don't often write reviews I don't even live anywhere near Brea, but I would love to see this business thrive if not expand.

Because it was my first time, I asked the barista about her recommendation, and she also asked my general preferences to cater to my taste, and I ended up with a seasonal Birthday Cake Americano at half sweetness (since I don't have much of a sweet tooth). It was perfect for me! I don't usually get Americanos and have a sensitive stomach rn, but it was delicious and kind on my stomach lol. Their Vanilla Thesis drink at 50% sweet is soooo good. It's a great blend of coffee and tastes great. You can totally taste the vanilla. Their ham and cheese croissant is also great.

I'm honestly SHOCKED that this place is still open. I've never been to a restaurant with worse service, and it's not even their shtick to be rude, but it should be, then it might be laughable. The SOULLESS GINGER DEVIL WOMAN tornado-ing through the restaurant is one of the rudest people I've ever encountered, and she's a SERVER. GET A NEW JOB, one that doesn't require common decency or any education, but does require a rotten egg-smelling face and a loud mouth. I couldn't care less if they had a 5 star chef in the back, the audacity these employees have to treat paying customers like peasants is flat out insane. If I were reviewing their food I'd add .00000000002 stars, my dog could throw this up and garnished with an orange slice, it'd look and taste similar I'm assuming, probably better. Let me start by saying that I have been in the service industry for quite some time now so I can understand the stress of working a diner but there is no excuse for rude service. It's sad because the food is actually ok. Every time I am in there for take-out or to dine in its ALWAYS the same. I feel rushed and treated like a don't matter. I may not make there month but I am sure I am not the only one who feels this way. I am not here to completely bash the entire company but lets just say they can take some pointers from their Placentia location. Its so odd to me that this one company that is not a franchise would have suck a different experience for each location. I have stopped going to the Brea location but because I feel so welcomed when I visit the Placentia location I will continue to give them my business. We finally visited Kimmie's Cafe and it was a good experience overall. The place has a cozy, welcoming vibe; simple, clean, and just the right size, not too big or too small. Our server was friendly and had attended to our needs, which we appreciated. We ordered The Scrambler (bacon) and the Irish Benedict. The Scrambler was a bit dry and heavy on the potatoes, and the Irish Benedict, while loaded with meat, was a little too salty for our liking. It was nice to finally see what the hype is all about, but we probably won't be coming back anytime soon. Still, glad we gave it a try. read more

Moved to Brea not too long ago, and was happy to discover Kimmie's. Have always enjoyed a good benedict and Kimmie's seems to deliver pretty consistently on theirs. Have tried and handful of things off the menu and been happy with the food every time. Prices are relatively inexpensive and the food comes fast. Only reason I don't give them 5 stars is due to the fact that the servers are not very personable. But, good food, good prices, quick service...worth checking out. read more

The food is just OK. I have been to both Fullerton locations - the one on Commonwealth and the one on Brea Blvd. The quality of the food products they use is average. The roast beef sandwich meet is not great. Your standard breakfast fare is good. They have very good service. If you are looking for a reasonable breakfast - it is worth it. read more

I wasn't given a receipt or a number for the table. Filled our drinks and sat down. My food came out about 10 minutes later. Then the cashier came back to the table with an omelet for my girlfriend. We told her that she ordered a bacon and avocado cheeseburger. So the server took the omelet back. A couple of minutes later she brought over a hamburger and fries. My girlfriend asked for ketchup and we were directed to the area next to the drink dispenser. I got up and went to get my girlfriend some ketchup and when I was returning to the table my girlfriend was approaching the counter. It turned out that the burger didn't have bacon. She let the cashier/server know. The cashier returned a minute or two later with the correct burger and took the other one away. It's worth noting that the restaurant was about 1/4 full. Credit to the cashier/server, she was apparently the only person working the front of the house. Taking orders, delivering food to the diners, and cleaning up. Overall a disappointing experience. We probably won't return. Prices were reasonable, the food was fine, but the mistakes on my girlfriend's order were off putting.

I ordered pick up today so I can't say much about service besides what i experienced at the counter. The person who got my order was polite and double checked that my order was correct before sealing the bag with the order. There is plenty of parking at this location, and it's conveniently located right off imperial. The inside looks like it's been remodeled and looks pretty good. Food is what you'd expect at any IHOP. Overall a positive experience.

For one, it's the only Red Robin near us, the location is great as we can get our shopping done and feed our family at a reasonable price without breaking our wallets. It is especially good when you have kids. The food is good for the price. The quality isn't the best but the value is good with the bottomless refills. Our first original order of food came out rather quick. Everyone's food came out at the same time and it was hot. We asked for extra sauces that didn't come out with our food and had to wait till we got our servers attention about 10 minutes later. Our second order of fries came out fairly quickly as we only ordered one at the time. Then our third orders of two fries, coleslaw, and drinks never came. After waiting for quite a long time the table next to us was getting there food and my mother just simple raised her hand and said "excuse me". As soon as she was able to put her hand down the server named CHRIS lashed out "I HAVE STUFF TO DO TOO, IT'S NOT MY TABLE" and he just walked off. His attitude was defensive and unprofessional. Even the tables next to us had that looked on their faces. My wife then went to ask for the manager and spoke to her about the situation. The manager listened and seemed sincere and told us that she would come visit our table in a bit but she never came by. We never got an apology from Chris or the manager. All we got from the manager (Joyce) is that she said she'll "talk" to Chris. We are easy going people and was very patient. We have worked in the restaurant industry and understand how hard it can be dealing with customers and the demands when it gets busy. We would've been fine if Chris took the professional approach and simply apologized and said that he would get us help instead of lashing out and talking to us like trash. This location needs some major retraining in customer service and procedures.
