In Galt, Denny's is the best food for a reasonable price......however, the price for a cup of coffee is absurd!!!!!

I've been coming to this dennys since I was a small child, and while it was good then it has done nothing but get better, the food is always fresh, delicious and the staff has always been wonderful! I've eaten at Denny's in Galt many times. The food is consistently good, and occasionally exceptionally tasty. I've been especially impressed with the friendliness and service of the manager, Jacob Marchi (Jake). He seems to have boundless energy and is focused on a great customer experience. The fact that I am a repeat customer is a great recommendation. Note: they are sometimes short on staff late in the evening and service can be slow -- similar to other businesses experiencing staff shortages. Food is still good! read more

The lunch and service at this Denny's was great. Our server Jessica was so nice and helpful. She handled our every request with kindness and excellent customer service. The manager was also excellent. When a customer accidentally left his cell phone at the table next to us, the manager ran out to the parking lot to take him the phone. This is great service. By the way, the food was excellent. Denny's really has changed their menu and the food is really tasty. I recommend the Galt Denny's for their service. read more

Today is my birthday, and first thing is that the waitress was being a little cold, I told her I wanted the "B-Day Slam" with added chocolate chips, she charged me the chocolate chips but didn't deliver with the meal, I could not enjoy my pancakes and therefore hardly even touched them, when I mentioned that the unsatisfactory meal would put a blight on my birthday, she took off the price of the chocolate chips. But I told her I would appreciate a more reduced price, I mean of all places to eat I chose this Denny's location to celebrate my special day; and there was absolutely nothing special about it. It really sucked due to the fact that I would come here about 2-3 evenings a week with my family and play the claw machine. I and highly upset about this, even more that this happened on my birthday. read more

We arrived there about 6-7 am, it was early morning and we dreamed about good breakfast. So we found this place on our way and were absolutely disappointed. I ordered American breakfast and my sunny side up eggs were fried very very bad but I asked to fry it good. My husband was waiting for an extra coffee during 20 mins. I came to Denny's twice today. Once about an hour ago and it was busy so we left and came back. Upon arrival the second time there were less tables than the hour before. There was a family before us who was seated within 3 minutes and there was a couple behind me and my son who, after long enough left. I only assume cause none of use were greeted. My son really wanted to eat here so we waiting a few longer. After I realized that the person I thought was the host was actually the manager I was ready to leave. A few servers walked past us and no one even wanted to make eye contact let alone say "hey we be with you shortly". I get being busy... but it would have been safer to at least acknowledged your guests as they enter rather than ignore them. People are more understanding when you make them apart of the process and we want to spend our hard earned money at your business! That's a big deal! I think the only annoying part is I left my house to get breakfast at 9:30 and it's almost 11.. still hungry read more

This morning we tried the "on-line" ordering/pickup at the Galt Denny's. Simple and quick to use, once registered. Order was on time and accurate. Jake the manager was very helpful as are all servers. Oh yeah, the food was very good and hot and survived the ride home. An easy, fast way for good food. read more

I've been occasionally eating at Denny's Galt for 6 years. I would give them four stars for eating inside, but 0-1 star for ordering online for delivery. You must order online, they will not pick up their phone! If there is something wrong with the order (paid for salad, received no salad) you cannot get them by phone so there is no one to tell. I have been in the restaurant and seen the phone hanging on the wall off the hook the whole time I was there, the waitress told me it's too busy to answer it during the dinner hour. I live in Galt and frequent the Denny's in Galt. I get a lot of food that is cooked exactly as it should be. The food is delicious and the service is great. Went to breakfast this morning and the place was packed. Even though they had a decent amount of servers the service was a little slow.I'd like to highlight Alberto his service is on point always. This guy should be running the place. My family and I visit this place quite often and Alberto is always clearing tables, sitting guests, refilling coffee and drinks. This guy is non stop stop the whole time. Next time you come to Denny's in Galt look around, you will see exactly who I'm talking about. Way to go Alberto. We went to Denny's in Galt to take advantage of the free 4 item Grand Slam birthday breakfast for my husband's birthday. Noah, our server, was fantastic. He took very good care of us, was attentive with beverage refills, and made our dining experience a real pleasure. Noah made a note of my food allergy and special instructions for my omelet, and he offered free substitution for items I couldn't have. The cook prepared my omelet to my instructions perfectly. It was just about the best omelet I've ever eaten, certainly the best from a restaurant. Thank you, Noah, for doing such a good job on submitting my order to the cook. My husband loved his Grand Slam. His eggs were cooked exactly as he ordered, and the food portions were so generous that he couldn't even finish it all. Decided to give them another chance. 7/16/17. Went in for breakfast.. With husband my 2 kids an my nephew. Everything seemed ok.. My toddler decided to have a meltdown to i went to the car. Once hubby was done we switched. As i finally started my meal i aske waitress to close blinds cuz if the glare from a truck.. She stated thy didn have blinds. Couple min later as i started my pancakes i informed her that they r burnt on the bottom. She gets attitude an says i should ha e Told her sooner. I said when.. I jus sat down to eat. Good food. Great prices. Awesome service even under extraordinary circumstances! We called ahead for a graduation party and they were ready when we arrived. Despite the crush of families leaving the Galt High graduation the staff was sumersaulting around the restaurant. We had a couple bumps in the delivery but they fixed everything within minutes and still managed to be present enough to keep drinks (and stomachs) full. The food is what you expect from a modest family restaurant (good! But without useless ceremony). We heartily endorse our local Denny's because of their excellent service and yummy food! read more

My family and I have been going here for many years. There are 5 of us and the food and service have always been Great. They always make sure all the kids have color books and crayons and their always smiling and friendly. It's nice and clean with pleasant music in the background. I normally don't come here for breakfast I go to Old Town Diner. However, I was craving crepes. We called in an order at 10:20am and the guy said it would be about 15 minutes. We didn't walk into Denny's till 10:40 so we gave it an extra 5 minutes, just in case. No one greeted us. Finally I asked the overweight lady with dark hair that we had an order for pick-up she said "ok" .. we could see the bags of food in the back so we asked again if she had checked if our order was ready and she said "I don't know I haven't checked" so at this point we asked another younger girl if she can check if those bags were our food and she was nice and went to go check, as she was putting utensils in our bags the big lady called her over and told her to wipe tables, the girl said to her "I'm just getting them their to go order" which the big lady replied "they can wait!" I looked at my watch and it was 11am! We HAD been waiting... I asked to speak to her manager and she said "he's busy, I'll get your order when I can" so we said "it's ok, we're leaving so keep it" and she decided to still reply by saying "that's fine we're just going to throw it away" so I highly doubt her manager knows this is the way she acts. I'm pretty surprised at how good the food is at Denny's. They have really raised their game. The variety and taste is great. As a result, the place is very busy at meal times. So, the people that downgraded the restaurant because of the wait are being unfair. Popular restaurants are at meal time usually have a wait. Maybe in Galt that is not at all common. Also, this is not fast food, so expecting the food to be out in 5 minutes is not realistic. I found the staff very attentive even when busy. Wait times for food were in line with good restaurants that are busy. Jacob the manager filled in making sure tables were clean, and people were seated as soon as possible. He worked hard to make sure customers were satisfied. I have become a loyal customer. read more

Went here recently and the service was super slow, we were sat right away but weren't greeted by a server for a long time, and there were long gaps in between. The food was good, I was just a little disappointed in the Grilled Chicken and Bacon Sandwich because it was too much bun and too little chicken, I was getting a lot of bites of just bread and onion. Since the remodel this Denny's has gone seriously downhill. The food was good, but cold and even after being sent back, it was still cold. How hard is it too get chili hot? The service is terrible and slow. I've been here twice since they reopened and both times has been awful. The servers have no clue what they are doing and it's like pulling teeth to get a refill on a drink. It took over an hour to get our meal of a house salad and a sandwich. I would ask for dessert, but I'm afraid I'd grow old and die before it ever came. read more

Normally we really enjoy Denny's food. But we ordered togo last night and we got the pot roast melt which was fine. We ordered the prime rib cob salad and we were very disappointed. Im being generous when I say maybe I found 5 pieces of prime rib total. The rest of the salad was fine but if your going to call it a prime rib cob salad it really should have prime rib in it, not just a few very small pieces. read more
